The hotel is located in a beautiful location with a garden that leads to the edge of a huge lake. The staff are very welcoming and speak very good English. The large room had a nautical theme and an amazing powerful shower. The only minor criticism is that the bar is small but there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the local beer and in the summer outside overlooking the lake. Would highly recommend this hotel for both business or as a base for a relaxing break.

We really enjoyed staying in this hotel with 9 colleagues this week. Service and hospitality is perfect, it's close to the Autobahn and close to Hannover Centre. The hotel is situated in a nice town Wunstorf and the rooms where modern, clean, big. It was far better then expected! I would recommend it to anybody who asks.

The owner (Wirtin) was unfriendly and impatient on more than one occasion; about wifi, coffee at breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean but silverfish was found in the bathroom. Bottled water in the room was appreciated.

We stayed at Wehrmann-Blume for two nights. We found our stay pleasant. They have a nice outdoor area to sit and eat or enjoy a few drinks as well as a lovely indoor restaurant. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. Everything was kept in order. Our room was a good size. The bathroom was a little small but otherwise everything was fine. There is a bowling alley at the hotel too, although we did not get the chance to use it. We ate twice at the restaurant for dinner. The meals were very tasty. The breakfast was also good. Across the road from the hotel is a fuel station and a burger take away restaurant as well as a grocery store. Wunstorf train station is a short five minute walk away. Its a little bit out of town, but we caught the train into Hannover daily. It was a very short trip back into town.

We arrived around 6.30 p.m. on a week day after several hundreds km journey, at the same time as another couple. The reception was dark and as we approached the counter we heard a grumpy voice saying "now you must wait!". We did. After a minute or two, a somewhat sulky woman emerged from the background and before anything she grumbled "first you need to pay!"... No "hello", no "good evening", no "welcomes". The woman merely gave us the key to the cottage and now with a shade of a smile, told us where to park. It was a nice 3-storey cottage in a separate refurbished building, with spacious bedrooms, modern furnishings, tasteful decoration, nice bathroom, fitted kitchen, all very clean. Nothing to complain about. Breakfast was OK, good choice of products. The whole place seems to be run by two women, one of them very friendly, the other one not so. Nice period (main) building, impressive entrance and staircase with dark oak wood.

The Landhaus is a very quaint hotel in a very quiet area on the edge of the Steinhude Meer, just a few metres away from sailing clubs and the natural wetlands of the Meer. If you are looking for shops, facilities, or restaurants this hotel isn't for you, go to Steinhude. But if you appreciate the quiet surroundings, the closeness of the lake and the chance to take long walks, then Landhaus is ideal. Very popular with locals and visitors alike. The food is great and the menu is certainly varied. Breakfast is very good with a wide selection of cold cuts, cereal, fruit and bread. The hotel is getting on, a little bit old but clean. The WiFi works very well. 7 rooms. Room number 7 is great. Very large with an open fire place and lounge room with a mini refrigerator and large terrace to sit outside. Being next to a nature reserve you might see a spider or cobweb on the windows, but who cares? The hotel is well off the main road and it takes 35 minutes to walk to the centre of Steinhude village. Jogging 20 minutes across the wetlands and through the residential area of Steinhude. If you want quiet it's great. 5 minutes drive from Wunstorf Air force Base. 8 minutes drive from Steinhude village center. Staff are very helpful, friendly and speak English. I am going back and I recommend the hotel to anyone who is willing to be a little far from the amenities and facilities of the hotels in Steinhude Village.
