Fpr the eveening you can walk near in the fields and a park which are 5 minutes from the hotel for relaxation of mind.

Rooms are comfortable and spacious with a modern en suite, with Wi-fi available, restaurant on site as well. Lovely receptionist, very accommodating. Car parking available

A comfortable hotel
Reviewed By Jodach_AnaliA nice hotel in a lovely quiet location. The bed was comfortable, no frills but everything you need. Breakfast was a nice buffet with rails, good quality croissants and a good range of cheeses and ham. Large choice of jams. Smoked salmon, yoghurt, fruits and cereals. Coffee brought in pots, refills were available if you asked. Very friendly, pleasant service on the front desk and at breakfast. There is an honesty bar in the celler - a nice touch so that drinks are available in the evening. Snacks are also available during the week but we stayed at the weekend so we weren't able to try those. Large Edeka and Lidl supermarkets just a few hundred yards away - both open until 9pm even on Saturdays. A few restaurants close by but we are in the town centre. Wolfenbüttel is a really pretty little town. We asked for a quiet room and were given one that faced the inner courtyard. It was absolutely silent at night time but noisy in the evening from Tv's in other rooms and smokers sitting chatting in the courtyard. It was very warm while we were there so windows were open. Also a duck fountain that makes a horrible slurping noise but thankfully was soon unplugged by other guests! No noise after 10pm. Easy parking at the front and side of the hotel. Wifi is free but you have to collect a new log in sheet every 24 hours from the front desk. A good place to stay in Wolfenbüttel!

Es war ein guter Ausgangspunkt für meine Tour durch den Harz. Bei meiner nächste Tour wieder das Hotel zur Auguststadt

Nice little place
Reviewed By TimelliniI stayed one night in hotel Waldhaus while visiting the town. It was a little bit off the city centre, but with a rental car there is no problem. The hotel was smallish, but had a restaurant in it. There was a wedding event on the night when I arrived, so apparently they organize stuff like this also. The room was OK, basic stuff. No luxuries, but not that I needed them either. The price was a bit over 50 euros a night, including breakfast. Pricewise I am happy with the place and the brekkie was OK too. I did not see anybody else at the breakfast, so I guess this place is relatively quiet, but then again I guess the whole town is. I might come again, but if you have no car, then a hotel closer to town centre is a better option. This will, however, increade the cost by 30-40 euros easily.

Reviewed By GoinPlaces63Definitely up to European standard. This is a historic building and the accommodations are built into it. Showers tend to be small. Furnishings are adequate, but sparse. Breakfast is European style, go early for a full selection particularly if you are with a group.

Reviewed By kitchenmagickSlight step above basic hotel. It's an older property, and the creaks are charming. The rooms are spacious enough, and the breakfast is standard (cheese, breads, meats, yoghurt etc.). It's a centrally located hotel, so easy to get to the main shopping street. Service is maybe a bit too relaxed. Wolfenbuttel is a small town, and I've stayed in 3 different hotels there over the years. They have all been about average, so don't expect much. Best to have low expectations.

Viel zu teuer!
Reviewed By Martina_11_03_sandDie von uns gemietete Wohnung fand ich erst einmal gar nicht im Internet. Sie war zu teuer für das, was sie bot. Nicht sauber geputzt, dicke Staubschicht auf Abzugshaube, Mikrowelle verdreckt, Fenster schmutzig und die Rahmen mit vielen Farbresten versehen. Deckenleiste im Bad heruntergebrochen, Griffe und Lichtschalter verklebt (haben wir selbst abgewischt) und mit deutlichen Dreckspuren, eine der Matratzen durchgelegen, Brösel in der Küche und Böden vermutlich schon lange nicht mehr gewischt. Überall sieht man, dass etwas repariert und nicht fertiggestellt wurde (z.B. Terrasse),viele Spinnweben und eine ganz fixe Übergabe des Schlüssels und des viel zu teuren Mietpreises (140€ pro Nacht für 4 Personen) war der einzige Kontakt zum Vermieter.
