As one of the few options in the area, it still stands out as a perfectly decent hotel with friendly staff and service. Our room on the ground floor was spacious enough and clean. Some dents and scuffs, but nothing out of the ordinary. With so many people using this a stop on a road trip, carrying luggage around, it's to be expected. Dinner options were limited but very good and tasty. The (very) young fellow serving us did forget some things, but he did his best, and I'd rather have that than an uninterested, grumpy waiter. In short, would recommend. :) Close to a pretty big Tesco too for a supply run if you're doing the NC500.

A warm welcome awaits you from Julie & Eddie at the Impala a small family run guest house with 5 en-suite rooms all with a sea or rural view a short walk into the center of wick. We welcome cyclists and bikers and have secure parking also off road parking for cars etc.
Stayed in Room 5 for 1 night. Arrived late about 7 ish after a long drive. The guesthouse has private parking for about 4 cars in marked bays. For breakfast, Impala has a pre-order form, but I was leaving early to catch the ferry to Orkney and would not have had time for breakfast. The owner offered to make a lunch bag instead which was really nice of her. The room was smallish, but that’s fine for an overnight stay. The room had a chair, kettle and enough tea/coffee to last a couple of days. The mattress was thick, with a slightly soft firmness, but comfortable. The covers and pillows were thick and cosy. Location wise, Impala is far out from the centre of Wick, so you’ll need a car if you’re planning to eat out. Overall, I had a good stay and would stay again.

Beautiful B & B in the North of Scotland on the NC500 route. We are a 2 minute walk from Wick Marina and 5 minutes from the Town Centre where there are shops, restaurants and bars. Our rooms are very comfortable king size with flat screen TVs and full complimentary tea tray. We also have fridge in our room along with a fan and hairdryer. Our bathrooms have both a walk in shower and also a bath.
We stayed for a night here on Wednesday 8th June. From start to finish a very pleasant stay indeed. Before we arrived in Wick we got a text to confirm the detail for arrival at the house, which was very helpful indeed. The welcome from Stewart was warm and very informative. The room was clean and well laid out. The bathroom was very modern and spacious. The bed was very comfortable indeed and we slept very well. The breakfast was beautiful with a full range on offer from continental to a full Scottish. I must say it’s one of the nicest guest houses we have ever stayed in and would not hesitate to re book when we come back up this way. Thank you stewart for a truly memorable stay.

We stayed at Burnside for one night as part of our NC500 trip and a break from our VW Campervan for the night! Kacey gave us a warm friendly welcome on our arrival before letting us settle into the room which was beautifully decorated, (including fabulous photography by Mr Burnside) comfortable and had lovely views. It was ideal for us and our dog and we loved the eco-friendly touches. We ordered an evening meal which was by far the best meal of our whole trip - cooked and presented perfectly and delivered to our room at the time requested. The pineapple and salted caramel dessert was to die for!! We had a very comfortable nights sleep and we’re delivered a very hearty breakfast in the morning before our onward journey. The breakfast menu is so extensive it was hard to choose! Kacey also offered some great tips on places to stop along the north coast which we took up. You certainly won’t be disappointed if you book here, we’d love to come back one day.

When we booked this as part of the NC500 tour we wasn't sure what to expect, as with any booking really. But upon arrival we were treated by the owners who were very friendly and there dog too. Walking into the building was just wow. Something really special about it. The whole place was special and felt like a film set. Our room was big, the bed fantastic and we enjoyed a cuppa next to the log fire downstairs. We nearly nodded off it was so nice. We were advised of a taxi company to use who keeps costs down and they were great. And we headed into Wick which isn't far. If you want to eat at the nearby put the smiddy, book in advance. We couldn't get in but it was the same day. We would go here again, the breakfast setting was like nothing I've seen before.

Bank House B&B is located near town centre. We are a new establishment and all rooms are en-suite. Tea, coffee and private dining/lounge area. Parking, family, twin & double rooms are available.
Stayed overnight whilst doing the NC500. Got a call and text from Angela what time we would be arriving and met at the door. Very friendly and informative. The room was very cosy, everything that we needed, with parking in a public car park to the rear. Breakfast was delicious, couldn't fault. My one very minor issue was that the wi-fi was a bit haphazard. It seemed to have gone off which I didn't notice so I ate up all my data. That aside would definitely recommend.

Keith and Virginia welcome you to Harbour House, built in 1864 for the British Fisheries Board. The house was home to the harbour masters of Pulteney and Wick Harbours until 2000 when it was purchased by ourselves. The house overlooks Wick bay with great views of the harbour and marina, with 4 letting rooms, en-suite with tea/coffee facilities Continental or full scottish breakfast
I wanted so hard to like this place. It’s got a lot going for it, so I’ll go through all the positives first. - The hosts are great. - The view of the harbour was excellent. - Breakfast is served to your room - and it was hot. You have a table in the window to eat from - very nice! - There was a generous selection of drinks and biscuits. Sadly, there were a few things that drag it down to 3/5. - The Tassimo machine provided was in a disgusting state. We didn’t want to use it, especially as one of the pods supplied had been opened. So the excitement of having one was cancelled out by not being able to use it. - The bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could be. It needs a deep clean, the tiles for example. - The decor was tired, and scruffy in places. Things like just cleaning the paint off the socket would make a difference…it would take 10 minutes to scrape it off. - The TV didn’t work (appeared to be a signal problem). None of these things ruined the stay…but we just felt that a bit of time spent on these things would make a huge difference. I find it hard to say negative things, but I’m offering these comments as I liked the owners and this is genuine, constructive feedback.
