My first impression was quite poor, the reception is understaffed with long waiting lines on phone and in person. The personnel working there were quite unpleasant both being unhelpful and straight up rude. Then theres the issue of their webpage stating they provide services such as adapters, laundry, parking and even doctor appointments, but when requested, none of the aforementioned services can be provided. They also claim to have great wifi which is a huge overstatement. The food was also pretty underwhelming, both in selection and quality.

I travel frequently for work and always stay in Holiday Inns where possible as I always find them great value. This one in Watford I was not a fan. My room was clean, I had an OK nights sleep. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Breakfast was decent too. Staff however were appallingly terrible. On checking in, I approached the counter. The colleague did not say hi to me so I said "hello I'm here to check in". He replied with "surname?". I gave him it and he said "1st name?". I gave him it and he put a piece of paper on the desk and said, "put email here, phone no. here and sign here". He then took the paper, gave me my key and simply said "room on 4th floor". So I walked off to find my room. Every other time I've stayed at a Holiday Inn, I'm welcomed at the desk, asked if I'm a member, given an explanation of bar times and food times, informed about breakfast times and where it is, directed to the lift etc etc. The colleagues at breakfast didn't fare much better. Absolutely the most unwelcoming colleagues I have ever come across. Definitely would not stay again.

My experience has been terrible with this hotel. I reserved two rooms for my wedding day, which the operator had promised will be a family room with good size to accommodate all my guests, and good size mirrors to get dressed/ready. Unfortunately when I called the reception desk they told me that the upgrade was not listed as a family room but only a king room, and they couldn’t upgrade to a family room. They told me that the supervisor was unavailable to speak to. First they asked me to write an email with my number, and when I said I was out and unable to do this, they said I can leave my number and the supervisor will call me. When I returned home, I spoke to the same receptionist who said that I would need to email- and I explained that he had told me I don’t need to email as he would pass my number to the supervisor (who was working until late). Then he continued to say I needed to email and gave me another email instead!! He also advised me that the family room I was looking to book was probably unsuitable to get ready in for a wedding, which I’d explained that the operator I booked it with had told me it was very spacious and had good sized mirrors. He told me that he would ask the supervisor to call me to recommend a suitable room and sort the above issue out. It had been 24 hours and I still had not received any calls. I called them again and apparently the supervisor was not in today or unavailable. They told me to ring back tomorrow. What a horrible experience and service !!! I’d advise not to book this hotel to avoid disappointment because they seem to promise a lot during the booking and then don’t deliver. Avoid this hotels, there are better local ones that have excellent customer services.

We stayed here a week ago and I have nothing but praise for this hotel. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived and that didn't falter through our 2 night stay We stayed in Rooms no 8 &9 which were lovely and clean with nice modern bathrooms. The bar area was nice and comfy and chilled. It didn't have a vast choice of drinks but prices were reasonable. I definitely would stay again!

Get to great local sights quicker than you can say 'abracadabra' with Premier Inn Hotel Watford North. In a great spot just outside Watford's vibrant town centre, you'll be well placed for attractions like Warner Brothers Studios, as well as business and leisure destinations in central London. Plan a magical family adventure to Warner Brothers Studios for the Harry Potter tour. Hunt for the latest looks at Intu Watford shopping centre. Or discover the historic heart of nearby St Albans. Then unwind with a tasty meal in our restaurant, and relax in your spacious room and huge, comfy bed.
It just wasn't for me unfortunately, the air conditioning was far to loud with little ones, I would of turned it off but it was far to warm for them we ended up leaving a day early, and cancel are plans

Your home away from home, located in the Heart of Watford, 1 minute away from Watford junction station, 2 minutes away from the Intu Shopping center.
Our room was gorgeous, immaculately clean and so comfortable! Everything was so easy to find and use and the staff were so friendly. My girlfriend called ahead saying it was my birthday and not only did they put the balloons she ordered into the room but gifted us a cute little card and plate of muffins and chocolate! So close to the station and town as well, 100% would stay again xxxxxx
