Constructed in 1891 as a headquarters for Riggs National Bank, the landmark example of Richardson Romanesque architecture was known as the Bank of Presidents, and resides at the intersection not just of 9th and F Street, but of American history.
The hotel is so lovely. The hygiene products have a unique essence and the whole staff is amazing, so polite and friendly. The decoration is pretty and the room very comfortable, I really recommend the hotel.

The guest bedrooms at Lyle are comfortable and calming in neutral colors and feature natural materials including Burl wood art deco headboards, rattan seating and berber carpets. The mattresses and linens were chosen for ultimate comfort while artwork and the majority of furnishings are bespoke. The rooms feel inviting and residential, as do the bright bathrooms with their handmade tiles.
It's rare to find places where you would rather stay than in your home. Lyle is one of them. That's not only because of the convenient neighborhoody location, rooms, restaurant and bar downstairs, and workspaces, but also because of the people — Johnny, Gigi, Maria, Martha, and so many others — who make it such a welcoming home for me every time.

Our micro-hotel is located in downtown DC's Penn Quarter, across the street from Gallery Place/Chinatown metro station. We're three blocks from the Washington DC Convention Center and one mile from Union Station. Each small but mighty room features Connected Room technology - open the door, stream to your TV, and control climate and lighting with the Hilton Honors app. Our restaurants and social spaces include a diner and coffee bar, rooftop hangout, and whiskey bar.
The receptionist was extremely helpful in arranging space at the parking place, and guide us all through the process of parking the car and getting our room. He was fluent in Spanish so made things much easier for us.

This is the type of hotel I like to stay in when I'm in DC. Just around the corner from several good neighborhoods, but not in the thick of the scenes. It's nothing flashy, but a good value. Parking is limited, and having to park next door is a drag but, other than that, it was a good stay. Shot out to Jonathan for the great service.

Room was great, and was stocked with everything I could need. Front desk service was exceptional — especially Aki and Nurten, they really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome by recommending restaurants in the area + letting me know to call the desk if I needed anything.

Everyone was helpful and friendly. They put out a breakfast for our tour group that was very tasty , every morning. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that we slept soundly every night. The atmosphere in the bar area was delightful and the happy hour drinks and sliders were wonderful. Would stay there again the next time I travel to D. C.

Steps from iconic landmarks like the Capitol Building, you'll enjoy spacious rooms, unique services and a home away from home spirit at our hotel in Washington DC.
I've stayed at the Capitol Hill Hotel a few times mainly because of its perfect location and proximity to the Metro and local sites/restaurants. The service, the friendly staff, and the spacious rooms consistently exceed my expectations. Most recently, I stayed over Memorial Day weekend, and as usual, everything was wonderful - I was able to stop in for breakfast before starting off my day. My dog felt like a celebrity there and I'm sure she'd also like to return. I'll definitely be back the next time I am in DC.
