OMG Dont stay its creepy!
Reviewed By chado CIt was late and we needed to rest, this was it. The coat closet had a mattress in it, the door was plywood, the room had a chemical smell, no TV working no internet working no hot water since we had two beds the second bed was in a separate room and that didn't have lights the furniture was broken and dirty, 3am a fight broke out they don't give you your deposit unless you check out right at their checkout time, a hole in the wall was pulling cold air though the heat didn't work and the back of the building had piles of trash with an horrible smell. The pictures are a lie, it's not even close.

Reviewed By jamesp496I have stayed at this hotel several times in the last 10 years. There are pros and cons: The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good ( and free if you are a Hilton Honors member). Unfortunately, the internet is frustratingly slow and spotty, especially if you stay on a high floor or in a room away from the front desk. This has been a long-standing issue which the hotel owner “is too cheap to fix” according to one of the front desk clerks.

Front desk and management do not reasonably work with customers
Reviewed By Q1174OWjoshcManagement (and the front desk) ended up charging us a late cancellation for the same night we actually stayed there. Long story short, after being lied to and told that "hotels.com" (who we booked through) was refusing to cancel their late fee, hotels.com notified us it was the hotel doing so. When confronted with the lie, management (the Manager) claims she did not know her staff (or higher ups) had made this decision. In the end, we warn you if you stay at this hotel, be very careful about the front desk and management, how they work with you or treat you, and certainly we would NOT recommend you stay at this hotel. We have now 3 days later not received a call back from the Supervisor after leaving a voicemail to contest this.

Reviewed By njenkins562Horrible. The check in staff was rude, unfriendly. Never greeted me. The room was very much out of date. The bath tub water drained extremely slow. I saw a bug crawling up the wall. The complimentary breakfast was horrible. Waffles practically crumbled in my mouth. The eggs were good though so I guess that’s something. There’s only 1 ice machine in the whole hotel. I was on the 3rd floor so having to go down to the first everytime was annoying and lastly. At 4 in the morning the fire alarm went off and the staff eventually said it was a false alarm. I was on vacation and everyday I wake up at 4am. I got this hotel to sleep in and relax and the hotel quality prevented that and we’ll as woke me up and I could not get back to sleep. Now that may have been out of there control so if that was the only thing I could understand but that on top of everything else is what confirmed my thought that I would never stay at Hawthorne suites ever again

No room despite reservation
Reviewed By GreveeAt the end of a dark driveway and far from anything but a few fast food joints, this hotel is dingy and shows its age. We didn't have a chance to confirm that the room was overpriced because they were overbooked - without notifying us, the hotel cancelled the reservation we had made a week earlier and confirmed the night before, sending us away at 11:30 p.m. IHG membership made no difference, and when we contacted Corporate, they told us the local hotel would reach out to us - which of course they didn't. Sounds like a problem property - don't risk it!

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff that made our trip more interesting with advices & tips about the city. Shops, restaurants, bars are within walking distance. It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

Pretty Bad
Reviewed By aaronsD9731ZJWow, I’ve stayed at some real questionable places in the past however this one has become my #1 worst location. I can’t even fathom how this place earns 3 stars. There’s so many things wrong with this place I’ll save you the time and say this…if you have no other choice it beats sleeping behind a building and purely a roof over your head. To start, the lobby is hard to identify however once found does look somewhat like a legit place to stay. Then you head to parking where multiple people with bags themselves circle your car and look through your windows, giving you that feeling your vehicle won’t be there in the morning. The property on the outside is littered with Trash and overall appearance is somewhat close to what you’d see at a landfill. As you enter your room it does look very 3 star until you start inspecting things. That’s when it all goes downhill. The room is dirty! For non-smoking there sure is a lot of smoke smell and cigarette burn marks. The furniture is leveled with soap bars. Furniture is gross and sticky on areas. Door missing from the tv enclosure and tv doesn’t recess back into the intended storage armoire. Refrigerator does not work and there’s no AC coming from the “fan” which also does not circulate air. Electrical plugs exposed and flooring has a lot of damage. The coffee pot looks like someone might have been cooking crack in the pot so not using that. Then there’s what happens at night. Nobody here actually sleeps at night. Compounded by the crazy uncomfortable beds, the people pass in front of your room loud as can be yelling and stomping their feet. It happens all night! The non working refrigerator also emits a super high pitch hum that is super annoying, it requires being unplugged at night. And the list goes on. In summary if you can’t sleep in your car or make it to the next place it could work but I’d make this your very last option.
