We stopped over new year's eve week. We were expecting it to be busy but the parking for the hotel was horrendous. We arrived early in the evening and parking was already starting to become impossible. We managed to find a space and went to check in only to be told we needed to drive further up the resort to some other buildings. Because even though you book a room in the thabor you could actually be in one of several other buildings it would seem. After driving to the top of the resort to our building parking was full. I dropped my wife and child off with the bags as close as I could then spent well over an hour driving up and down the resort to find a space. Which was further away then if we had just stayed where we were when we checked in at the thabor. As for the room we had one of the largest rooms for 3 of us so there was plenty of room but if it was filled to capacity it would be very cramped, kitchen was very basic. The bathrooms were a bit cramped and the beds were uncomfortable. The view from the balcony of the slopes was amazing. I loved being able to ski in and out too. The ski locker set up was one of the best we've had as well it felt secure enough and plenty of space allocated to each apartment.

The hotel "les Carrettes" is ideally situated in the heart of Valmeinier. Perched at an altitude of 1800m.Our hotel is the starting point for you to discover the 150km of skislopes of the skiing area know as "GalibierThabor" whixh links Valmeinier to Valloire. You will be charmed by the comfort of our rooms, the warm welcome from our staff, and our cosy lounge with its welcoming log fire. Our south facing terraces with a breathtaking view over the mountains will be a delight .
Friendly staff, quick service. We had the lamb, fish papillot, burgers, spaghetti and one cheese/mushroom fondue for two. The meat was good, as well as the fish. The vegetables were not bad but not superb either. Hamburgers were delicious and good sized. We were let down by the fondue, it was only accompanied with some bread and a small salad serving, we were expecting some potatoes or another side dish. The spaghetti sauce did not please us, the taste was awful. We hower decided to make the best of it and ate the spaghetti and wanted to inform the owner at the end of the night that the sauce was off. This was however not well accepted and the owner got a bit upset, so we politely passed the message and left. We did not visit the hotel, so no reviews for staying here. We will not be going back to the restaurant.

We stayed at Le Vermont on our family ski trip. There were some good elements to Le Vermont: the room size was great for two kids and two adults, it was easy to park and it was only a short walk from the main lifts. There were however a number of issues with the residence: it was a little run down in the public area (the lounge area was sadly neglected and therefore underused), our room had a damp issue which made it smell and you could see water stains on the walls, the staff were half-hearted (when informed about the leak they took no action). We would definitely come back to Valmeinier but not, unfortunately, to le Vermont.

Just returned (17/4/22) after full week, last week of season. Plenty of snow and most runs still open. Lovely sunshine all week except first day, so soft snow in afternoons. This was our 19th season with Snowcoach so that speaks volumes. L'Aigle is situated in fantastic location, 100metres or less from the lift so door to door skiing. The hotel has it's own boots/skis for hire if needed, and you can pre book lift passes with them, so all you need to do is turn up and you can head off out skiing. From Valmeinier you can ski accross to Valloire, fantastic skiing area. Skiing with Snowcoach is a social experience and a great way to meet other skiers. Meals are taken on tables of about ten so always chatting to different people if you wish. If of a reasonable standard you can also ski within a group. The staff were brilliant. It is not an expensive luxury holiday but fantastic value for money. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy, ours was lovely with great views of the mountains, but some in need of a little tlc. Tea and cakes available every day 4pm - 5pm, plenty to eat at breakfast, and really nice 4 course meals during our stay. Cheese board very small for a couple of nights but soon back to normal. Main course one night was best duck I've eaten. (Well done Drew). Complimentary wine is provided during the first three courses. Outdoor hot tub overlooking mountain, lovely. We travelled on their coach, long journey but coaches and drivers are good so worth the time. You can make you own way or book a flight yourself. We travelled at the hight of the P&O problems so feared delays at the ports. Snowcoach had swopped bookings to Irish Ferries and thankfully there were no delays on either journey. Can't wait till next year.

Nice apartments: Lift to underground parking garage, proper heating, adequately equipped kitchen, very close to the piste. Ski shop/rental on hand in the complex. We didn't mind the walk to Valmeinier 1800 for restaurant/supermarket etc. Few things that could be better: the "heated" swimming pool was quite cold, there are no hooks in the bathroom for hanging clothes/towels, the dishwasher was functioning but not really cleaning very well. Not all of the reception crew speak english.

Stayed for 3 nights over New Year family of 8 with an 8 month old baby. Arrived at 12pm no check in until between 5pm and 7pm, actually no staff around at all - no parking, had to just dump the car! After hanging around for 5 hours we Queued to check in, finally got to the room. ROOM: All I can say is that my room on a recent P&O ferry crossing was luxury compared to these. If you’re over 5ft you’d struggle. The walls are paper thin and the noise from the lift next to our room and kids running through the corridors kept us awake all night! FACILITIES: Unless you pay the €8 for breakfast you cannot get a cup of tea or coffee in the morning, you couldn’t even ask for one from the restaurant and pay for it! - not great when grandparents have travelled to look after the baby! And have to sit in an empty dark lounge all morning. Finally, my brother drank out of the ‘complimentary’ bottle of water in the room, which turned out to be neat alcohol or cleaning fluid! When we complained to reception they offered us another bottle of water! UNBELIEVABLE! They couldn’t have cared less!! I’m sure they would have cared if it had reacted badly with the medication he is on!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

three bed and breakfast in an old mountain French school near the col du glibber and the great French alps road confortable and quiet 30min jacuzzi included possibility of a great expérience with a dinner with savoy spécialities in an old altitude mountain farm within 10 minutes 4*4 transport
This is a very nice B&B run by a very friendly couple who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The room was very comfortable with a surprisingly well equipped bathroom. The views from the bedroom are amazing. The evening meal that we enjoyed was taken at another property to which we were taken by Monsieur and it was delicious home cooked food. The company of two walkers and two cyclists made for a very entertaining evening
