The food is distributed on three different restaurant areas, the "Saal" for the groups, the restaurant "Alegria" and the "Bauernstube" for individual and restaurant guests.
I spent here a night. Place is clean all over. Room had standard conditions. Breakfast slightly above German average (omlette on order, some extra choices of bread toppings). Wellness area small but nice, sauna with view. It's a pity wellness area only opens at 10AM, no option to get in before breakfast. Special mention to tthe garden, very interesting and with a variety of plants. Lunch and dinner were good but not more than a reasonable German quality. I can recommend the place.

We were the only guests staying, the grounds were deserted during our two night stay, the only people we saw were the gardeners, who came every day with a few sheep and an electric lawnmower for the grounds! We arrived late and were eventually met at reception and pointed in the direction of the wooden chalet/cabin which was ours. Very little English spoken, but friendly guy! The main house looked amazing but we were self catering and never went inside. Self-catering was actually quite dificult as there was no real facilities to do so - so breakfasts (cold) were possible but there was no means of cooking or utensils or crockery etc...just a fridge and kettle. Cabin was neat, with a loft upstairs with two beds in and two single ones in the main room. Shower was really good. TV but we didn't use it. The address on our sat nav also wasn't that helpful as the actual entrance to the ground and the Villa, is well signposted but outside of Uslar itself and beyond the street address given, on the the main road. The Pool was lovely but freezing so although our teens would have loved having to themselves they did't use it. We used the cabin as a base and never saw any one. No problem with parking on site!

Leider fehlten Hinweise zum Check-out.

Went here as part of an organised motorcycle touring club event. Proved to be a reliable find. Rooms very comfortable and well equipped. The staff were all exceptionally welcoming and friendly. However above all that the food was to die for! Night after night the chef excelled! You cannot beat this place for value for money.

I was in the town of Uslar for a wedding and myself and some of my fellow guests stayed here. Although the people running the hotel are very nice, very helpful and (thankfully) spoke decent enough English, I didn’t really enjoy staying in this hotel much. Apart from the painfully slow WiFi and a large flat screen TV, there is nothing at all within the hotel itself that seems in any way modern. In fact, I don’t think that this hotel could have changed very much at all in the last 50 years. But… in writing an honest review, what did I really expect here? A 5-star resort hotel? An ultra-modern boutique hotel? Not really, just something a bit more up to date and a few creature comforts. The towels are thin and a little austere and if the pile on the carpets were any shorter it would quality as lino. There’s not even the sort of tea/coffee maker that you’d expect in almost any US or UK hotel. Hotel Fröhlich-Höche is a traditional, German, country hotel and for people that like that sort of thing, I suppose this would all be fine. It’s quiet. The beds are comfortable. There is lots of wood and brown colours. The part of town the hotel is in is well outside of Uslar and had I had to spend much more time here I would have been very bored indeed. There didn’t appear to be any shops in the area at all. Certainly none someone of my age (68) could have walked to. In precis, this is a decent but very old fashioned hotel that didn’t really suit me much.
