My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and Trujillo. I've stayed in tons of paradors over the years, with more of them offering unique ties to history and this is no exception. The one could use a refresh of the bathrooms, and the room could also benefit from better mattresses and have more electric outlets. Also, coming from Portugal, I found it disappointing that the pool was closed in mid-April (pools in Portugal are all open at this time and it is colder there). I also found there was a lot of noise from outside the hotel late on a Saturday night which interrupted my sleep several times (obviously not the hotel's fault). Nonetheless, a great experience that I would highly recommend in Trujillo.

This is a nice roadside hotel outside of Trujillo. The staff is helpful and conscientious — they keep the facility up. Everything is spic and span! All in all, it's a great value. We had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay.

16th century building redecorated by the prestigious interior designer, Duarte Pinto Coelho. Hotel boutique Francisco de Orellana is located in Trujillo, Cáceres, Spain. The hotel was the natal home of Francisco de Orellana, the discoverer of the Amazon river. The hotel has a big and fantastic garden with outdoor swimming pool for exclusive use of guests.
Orellana who was born in this house discovered the Amazon. You will get the same sense of achievement if you find this tucked away hotel. Tastefully furnished in Spanish "heavy" style the main rooms are a delight but best of all, all the bedrooms give onto the walled garden with delightful pool and surround.

Came to Trujillo for the day with family from Extremadura. We came to Victoria as we couldn’t get into any of the other restaurants nearby, but we were very glad we did! Had a fantastic meal with good quality food and fantastic service.

Simple plain accommodation with decent Euro4 breakfast option and Euro5 overnight parking at the rear of the hostal. I parked on the street about 100M away without any problems. Only possible negative was that there is little noise insulation; fortunately no one near my room made significant noise, so not a problem for me. Very close to the centre of the Town, and easy walk. If you don't require five star accommodation, this is a very good choice.

We stayed at Plaza Sandra for 5 nights in apartment 8. It was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better, less than 2 minutes to the town square. The apartment was spotless, exceptionally well equipped and the beds were possibly the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in!! The kids slept on the sofa bed which was also very, very comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Just a 5 minute walk from the Main Square, this is a typical Spanish Bar/Restaurant with good accommodation at reasonable prices. Julio is a welcoming host who will, look, after you. Usual breakfast fare and reasonable tapas and main meals available. Not gourmet, but perfectly adequate.

Enjoyed my 3-night stay. The room was basic, but clean (and recently painted), with a private bath, a good TV, and effective heat. The location is excellent just 1 block off the main plaza. The staff was pleasant and attentive. Would definitely return.

Our hostel is located 300 meters from the main square, is a welcoming place, with all the amenities needed to be at home. All our rooms have tel., TV, bathroom, heating and air conditioning. There is also a restaurant with a great variety of dishes, national and menus to suit all tastes. Cafeteria service, selling newspapers and magazines.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think that the location of the hostel is of five star quality because you can park just outside. You can't park close by many of the other hotels and hostels in this cute medieval village. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service is also impeccable. The heating (so necessary in the freezing month of February in Extremadura!) in our first room didn't work, so we were given another, better room where the heating worked. ⭐⭐⭐ There are no official front desk/reception, but the staff (that were also bar/waiter staff for the restaurant) were effective in helping us checking in and out. ⭐⭐ The shower could be improved by a shower curtain and a shower mat. Rather impossible to take a shower without getting water everywhere and it creates a super slippery surface. Also, you could hear EVERYTHING from the activities of the other guests. Bring earplugs! ⭐ Nothing here is of one star quality.
