Traverse City, known as a four-season playground, is now celebrated for quality cuisine, wine and culture. Miles of sugar-sand shoreline include the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore with romantic lighthouses and coastal villages. The glacier-sculpted landscape of orchards and vineyards includes 16 golf courses. Swimming, sailing, paddling, hiking and fishing are favorite warm weather activities, while winter turns the region into a playground for skiers, snowmobilers and snowshoers.

The hotel had a very nice view from our balcony. The room was a nice size and clean. Will stay here again the next time we are in Traverse City. This location is not too far from the main shopping district.

Best Western Plus Traverse City is a great place to stay with your family! I was searching for a place that was not too expensive and had some amenities. Breakfast included was one of them. I have to say that the breakfast laid out is one of the best I've ever seen at motel. There are eggs, bacon, sausages, two waffle makers- one mini, one regular, as well as cereal, baked pastries and juices and the best coffee I've ever had at a hotel. The coffee and tea are available 24/7, a nice perk to come back to especially when you've been out in the Michigan chill. I heard about some amazing fresh cookies that come out at 6 pm every day, but unfortunately we were not around to try them. It is right next to another hotel that has a bar and restaurant that the front desk gives out complimentary $5 off coupons for if you ask. There is also a FREE mini-bus that goes to town so you don't have to drink and drive. Just get dropped off by the bus and call to get picked up. Can't be anymore convenient than that! Also, the beds are comfortable and the loft situation is nice offering a little more privacy. Great for 2 couples or families! Last, but not least, the staff was amazing. At all times of day or night, whoever manned it was helpful and friendly. We had no problems fixing key cards, get extra towels and blankets and help with any directions we needed.

Beautifully situated between the east and west branches of Grand Traverse Bay, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Traverse City, MI places guests a mile from gorgeous beaches and a bustling downtown. It's a quick drive to more than 150 inland lakes and rivers. Ride a bicycle down the 10.5-mile TART trail, enjoy views along the Grand Traverse Bay shoreline, visit local parks or savor a delicious meal at any one of the numerous restaurants in downtown Traverse City. If you're here in early July, don't miss the world-famous National Cherry Festival!
This is an older hotel - as such there isn’t much insulation between the room so you can hear people talking and snoring in the rooms nearby. The hotel was not busy so it would have been prudent to space guests in every other room at least, Bathroom was clean but small. Breakfast was good - typical hotel fare.

Honestly, I read some of the reviews posted here AFTER I booked my stay, and was wondering if I made a mistake. Thankfully, I found that I had not. I'm not sure where some of the negative reviews were coming from, but from my experience, they were way out of line from mine. I booked through TripAdvisor. The registration was easy and quick. When I arrived at the hotel, they had my reservation and I received a third floor end room. I could see the water, but I wasn't there for that. The room was clean, well appointed. There was a coffee maker, refrigerator and sundries in the room. Due to C19, they only clean at the end of a stay. Which is totally ok with me. They do offer a breakfast. I'm trying to eat keto and the free breakfast isn't really good for that. And the breakfast is what you would expect a most hotels offering it. Belgian waffles, premade French toast, English muffins, bagels. premade omelets, juice, coffee, milk, cereal. If you want something more substantial, there is Denny's down the street and a few other great places. But...it works for what it is. The lobby was well appointed. There was a variety of coffees available, and they had a freezer with Moomer's ice cream for $3.00 per half pint. Chairs and a gas fireplace in the lobby. The pool was clean and sized well, with a hot tub.

Kids loved it. Had a warm pool with a 5 ft deep end. The hot tub was good also. They have a small arcade the kids liked playing in. All the staff we dealt with were great. (Desk, maintenance, housekeeping) You don't always get the customer service that they offer. They even swept the snow off all the cars in their lot. We thought the boxed breakfasts delivered to the room were good. You get a choice of 5 different options.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at The Delamar. The hotel was warm with a modern flair, comfortable furnishings, situated on the water with great views, with an easy to walk into town. We can’t say enough about the friendly and helpful staff. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel and we topped it off with a swim in their outdoor heated pool. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Traverse City.

The best beach hotel in TC by far… great pool area, breakfast and beachfront. We have been coming here for about 10years with friends and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Close to downtown, water rentals like jet skis, boats and kayaks onsite and great staff! Make sure you get a beach room.

My husband and I took a 4 day weekend and spent 3 nights here in a King bed room. Our main reason for choosing this hotel was the fact they are pet friendly. We have 2 small chihuahuas who go everywhere with us so that's important. Check in was super easy, the room was very clean. The bed was really hard, but my husband loved it. I was sore waking up, but the jetted tub in the room helped. It was clean and I used it every day we were there. It was great after a long night of walking and wine tasting! The breakfast wasn't great but the restaurant next door has a great carryout service. We would definitely stay here again!!!!!

Let me just start off by saying this place is cute(definitely dated there are no frills) its got character, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel! The prices are super comparable with the other hotels here but this place has awful management and you do not get any of the normal perks you get with booking else where. The following are issues we had during our stay * rooms are not cleaned fully (examples- sticky remote, children’s hand prints all over the room on the dressers, head boards, sink handles. when i just did a quick wipe down of all the major “touch spots” of the room my lysol wipe it was black and brown when i was done * If you book with a travel site, i booked with Expedia, the manager (nick) gets super salty/confrontational with you about it if you have any issues with your booking. You will not be able to make ANY CHANGES once you are here. * The “breakfast” does not get filled unless you ask one of the staff members hanging out with each other behind the front desk that they are out of something (this was at 8 am) * The rooms need a major update, they look of them are fine in pictures but its in the details, the grid ceiling in the bathroom is rusted because the bathroom fan doesn’t work, all of the drawers on the dressers are falling apart and the laminate on them are peeling. * And the last but not the least biggest reason i do not recommend you stay here is because when you have an issue there is only one manager in charge of the entire hotel, he said no one that is associated with the hotel is a higher level than him to talk to about the issues we ran into during our very short stay. And when I told him i have no other option then to write a reviews on all the travel sites i use, he told me to enjoy the rest of my stay. So that to me tells me that they do not care about the issues i brought up. I hope this will help deter anyone thinking about booking here, it is a waste of a couple hundred dollars when you can spend $20-$30 more a night to stay at a much nicer facility right next door…
