There was one of the largest selections of cold and hot breakfast items I have encountered in any hotel, and staff to keep clean and make a waffle if you want

We were greeted very friendly by Mamatou and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing but excellent. Rooms were clean, very nicely designed and the lounge area is a communal place to meet amazing people from different walks of life. When I’m in Torrence, I know where I’ll be staying!

Quiet stay at Japanese hotel
Reviewed By kimpW4174LTWhile I didn’t do the spa packages, there were a few options. There’s 1 restaurant-Japanese. A small food convenient store that is self-serve. The elevators require a keycard so non hotel guests can’t use the elevator which always makes me feel safer. There’s a Starbucks 2 blocks away. You definitely need a car to stay here. A nice bonus is that you don’t have to pay for parking. My keycard didn’t work for the elevator one day and when I told the front desk, they immediately fixed it and came with me to the elevator to ensure that it was working. The people working at the front desk aren’t teenagers and always greet you. Very professional. The parking lot had very nice plants and flowering trees so it smelled really nice.

Reviewed By Vandana2221This hotel treated me like a second class guest, admitted it and now refuses to make it right. I arrived at the hotel at 9pm on a Wednesday night to check in. I walk up to the counter, the front desk agent says "let me see what rooms I have left" and walks away into the back office. I wait for 20 minutes before he comes back out and tells me that there are no rooms ready at the time due to late checkouts. It's 9:20pm, checkout was at noon. I had two rooms booked and they offered me a single $75 gift card for the restaurant and ask me to wait 60-90 minutes. I figured okay, we'll wait. Two hours go by, they have one room ready. I give that room to my elderly parents because it is way past their bedtime, travelling is hard for them as is. I continue to wait in the lobby. It's midnight and while I'm waiting, a large group of air hostesses arrive. They are all given keys and checked in immediately. I sat and watched them all make their way up the elevators, no delays whatsoever. After they all leave, I walk to the front desk and ask them about what I just saw. The employee admits to me that they have contracts with these airlines and had to save the rooms for the air hostesses. No apologies. I am in disbelief and now I am furious. I finally am given a room that was dirty around 12:30am, 3.5 hours after I first arrived at the hotel. Next morning, I speak to a manager and she apologizes, changes my room and promises to refund my money for that first night. That was on April 14, it is now May 16. I called Expedia to find out about the refund and Expedia tells me that the hotel is denying the refund. I have yet to call the hotel myself but I just wanted to let everyone know that you could be bumped for not being part of a large corporate group. Beware, this hotel does not value or treat all guests the same.

Reviewed By Footprints791070Our neighbors partied, smoking and playing loud music all night. We called the management 2x and were told that they would investigate and knock on their door. But nothing happened. The music continued. Don’t stay here. They seem to welcome partiers.

Reviewed By T6749ZOsheilasIf I could give zero stars I would. My room was in desperate need of repair. The bed headboard was peeling, carpet had stains all over it. I was afraid to walk on it barefoot. The room smelled like a thrift store, musty and mildewy. Windows are poorly insulated, the traffic noise kept me awake all night, along with noise from the next room because the walls are thin. The next day I asked to be moved to a room that was quieter and cleaner. Akane, the lady at the desk said I had to check out of the room I was in at 11 am and could check into a new room at 3 pm. She wanted me to remove all of my belongings from the room and haul around my luggage for 4 hours just so they could clean the room I was vacating and put another poor unsuspecting guest in it. Of course, I refused this ridiculous request and immediately checked out. She actually tried to charge me for another night even though I was checking out!Stay away from this place. Horribly maintained and horrible customer service.
