This place was incredible. I stayed for one night on an Explore bike trip of Japan. We had spent much of the afternoon riding in a steady rain, the group was a mess. From the moment we arrived they treated us like royalty, in spite of how filthy we were and considering the general japanese aversion to dirty! The rooms were lovely and large, very traditional but clearly of good quality. A woman came into the room with me, clearly wanted me to sit at the little table as she made tea. I wished I could understand even a smidgen Japanese. The interior of the hotel itself had some very nice pieces of art, everything very tastefully done. We had dinner there in the evening, it was amazing, both the presentation and the service. All of the traditional ryokans I stayed at served the traditional multi course Kaiseki Ryori meal, this one was the most refined and included some really unique components , including a little fish that was fished locally and grilled whole over coals. I'm not a very adventurous eater so eating them was a stretch for me and I was so glad I did, they were delicious.

This is a wonderful ryokan. You are met with quiet courtesy and shown to your room where a cup of tea is prepared for you by the host. The room is large with various sizes of yukatas and happi coats available. The furniture and style of the room is Japanese modern in an array of beige - all meant to relax you after a busy day touring. A wood tub is available for those who don't wish to use the onsen. Of the various ryokans we visited this was possibly the most quietly elegant (mind you, befitting the price!). We enjoyed dinner here and it was, as always in a ryokan, an artistic splendour: food beautifully prepared and presented. As dish arrived after dish arrived it was difficult to put the camera down and enjoy the various flavours of each. Not least, we thoroughly enjoyed the onsen using it twice a day, early in the morning and late at night after our touring. Again it was clean, modern, with several baths inside and out depending on your water temperature tolerance. All in all a wonderful and complete traditional Japanese experience not to be missed.

The inn where Michelin guide Toyama and Ishikawa (Kanazawa edition) are "finest comfortableness" A gourmet groans with deliciousness of the dish using Toyama's happiness in season, too, nationwide, in impure hot water different in unusual 2 kinds, that a hot spring expert is big satisfaction and a real beauty salon, too, FANGOSERAPI (hot spring mud) Popular inn with a lot of repeaters
We checked-in in rainy evening, hotel staffs greeted us with umbrella warmly at the hotel entrance. And we received the card from hotel staff upon our departure, which impressed us a lot. But the smoking smell is very very strong in the room make us not feel very comfortable. Very smelly fridge.

Although this hotel is in front of Tonami Train Station, but "convenient traffic position" is its only advantage. The surrounding of this hotel is quite bad: dirty carpet, falling off room wallpaper, noisy air-con, etc. The breakfast is just OK. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends if they are coming to this town.
