Reviewed By sherasamWarning: There’s only one boat to this island every day so don’t make the mistake of booking this resort on the day you reach Jakarta if you can’t be at Marina Ancol by before 8am. This island isn’t exactly heaven on earth. not the typical serene quiet kind of peace you expect to get. It’s a residential island, locals live and work there thus you can’t expect so much quiet and peace here. However, this resort is wonderful and has a small group of lovely and efficient crew. Simple room w wooden flooring emits beach vibes. They have two PowerPoint plugs in the room but not at the most ideal spot. Love their food! The nasi goreng (fried rice) is to die for. As I mentioned earlier this is a residential island. There are no beaches here. So if you’re like me and you came for some reading yoga and picnic, you won’t get it. There are no boats from this island to other islands. But through this hotel, you can do an island hoping tour. As for me, I just wanted to go to the beach to read, yoga, chill and write so I was recommended Sepa island bout 1hr ish from pramuka. It costs $100. Yup but only this resort has this service. None of the boats outside will do this. Anw as a solo traveller, I was accompanied by two of the staff from this hotel to the island and throughout my stay there! Thank you guys! There are a lot of cats here so I didn’t enjoy that part as I’m afraid of them. Oh ya, amazing sunset view from the jetty in front. Perfect resort for divers.

Reviewed By LiongsengliemDie Umgebung hat unser Bedürfniss nicht entsprochen, ist unmittelbar in einem Dorf .In dem Resort ausserhalb des Dorfes war mehr Ruhe . Da die Presidentengattin auf Besuch kam war die Insel mit Vorbereitungen beschäftgt . Diese Ausnahmesituation erschwert eine objektive Beurteilung. Das Hotel ist ein Homestay sehr einfach , für Backpackers jedoch genau das richtige. Mann kann mit einem Boot am gegenüberliegende Insel snorchlen.Der Manggrovenwald steht neu unter Naturschutz und die Vegetation wurde neu angepflanzt. Da es das erste Maritime Naturschutzgebiet ist in Indonesien und die Bevölkerung mit integriert wird besteht Hoffnung das in einem Jahr alles aufgeräumt ist.

Accumulation of filth all over the place
Reviewed By fsadiwonoI spent 1 night (2 days) with a group of friends 2 weeks ago. All over the island, particularly the beach, is extremely filthy. Garbage consisting of dirts, plastic bottles and bags are washed ashore. The room is not well cleaned. The flushed water from toilet bowl bounced back into the bathroom. The water is yellowish. The food was probably reheated left-over. The air-conditioner inside the bedroom was just not functioning well. It blew warm air.

Weekend getaway from hustling n bustling city life
Reviewed By jtandoyoCame here with my parents and my family of 5 (10, 3, and 5mos baby) to have a weekend getaway. Glad we made the decision to come here because my kids really enjoy the activities they offer. The weather was quite hot when we arrived but it does not bother my kids at all. We were welcomed with refreshing cold drinks and snacks. My oldest went fishing right away and was delighted when he caught the fish with ease. The water is clear that you can see through the fish swimming underneath. Then we ate super yummy lunch consist of 5 courses. After lunch my husband and my oldest continue snorkeling while the toddler and baby enjoy the ocean breeze. They even nap in the room for 3 whole hours so mommy was able to get some quality time for herself. Then we were offered fried banana as snack and it was wonderful! I took a refreshing shower while at the lagoon (it’s a very minimal bathroom but sufficient enough for me). During dinner we were served with seafood and grilled fish. What an amazing experience, enjoying the mouthful dinner while staring at the beautiful sunset. We then took a stroll at Jembatan Cinta for the night view of the Lagoon. We end the night with staring at the stars while the breeze of the ocean drift us slowly into lalaland... the next morning my husband and my son continue their snorkeling while the youngster still asleep. After we had breakfast, we went fishing with the boat to the other side of the island. We came back right before lunch time with a few fish that we caught. My son insist on grilling the fish he just caught and the staff was nice enough to cook it for him. After lunch we start packing and get ready to the dock to go back to civilization. We all had a great time at the Tidung Lagoon. The Staff were super friendly and treat us well. However please keep in mind that you are going to a remote island so don’t expect a 5 star accommodation but more of glamping experience.

WORST ISLAND I’VE BEEN TO
Reviewed By lesliecQ6157XYThis resort was a ripoff. All the nice pictures you see are old. Almost everything is broken. Our cabin was super dirty as if they haven’t cleaned in years. The sheets were dirty and had stains, the towels were used and just rolled up like if they were cleaned. The air conditioning and lights kept on going out. The restroom had a leak, you could hear rats on the roof at night. We woke up with tons of bites all over our body from the dirty beds. The windows don’t close either, and we saw a big spider just crawl in from there. There was NO customer service, they didn’t bother to make any sort of effort to accommodate to your needs. When we tried to ask for the things they were advertising like fishing, bike riding, kayaking, canoeing, and a few other things. They said that they didn’t have it and it was broken. They only had one pink canoe and it had no oars except for a broken stick and it didn’t balance. In the restaurant you will get spicy spaghetti everyday for breakfast, so if you have children who don’t eat spicy food, they will starve until noon. You will also have the exact same food for lunch and dinner everyday, so if you don’t like it, good luck. When we left, they came to our room with zero supplies to clean and they just did the bed and took the keys to get ready to give them to someone else. We were so disgusted because we had just stayed in a room that hadn’t been cleaned and who knows how many others have stayed in that same dirty room. We payed a very high price per person and we were ripped off. We were so disappointed. PLEASE DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE! The pictures on the website are OLD! They were taken when it first opened because most of the cabin’s roofs are caved in and not safe at all. The look of the island is so different from the website pictures.
