Stayed here for a week during the summer of 2017. Excellent view, very nice staff who speak decent English as well as French and Creole. Food was very impressive, breakfast had a huge spread, but dinner was on point! They serve ice cream in individual glasses, very nice. The beach area at the bottom was nice, a bit polluted and the walk to Jacmel center is now easy, plus there's not much in town...But again overall the hotel was a good place.

Come to spend an amazing stay in The Hotel Florita ! This is the only active 19th century coffee magnates mansion in Jacmel. Jacmel is a typic village with a "New Orlands" architecture entirely original. The hotel is furnished with antiques—art and artifacts and have the best bar and restaurant open 24 hours. Jacmel is the safest and most charming town in Haiti, the least touristic Caribbean destination for sophisticated travellers. Jacmel was built on old coffee plantation, and still have the best coffee! The Hotel counts with a plunge pool and an access to the beach. Get picked up at the airport by car, and our staff can arrange you excursions, and facilitate you with anything you may need. Friendly English-speaking staff, see our reviews--and who wrote them! The Hotel provides you sheets cotton and feather pillows. PERHAPS THE ONLY HAITIAN HOTEL WITH THE 10% SERVICE CHARGE GOING TO THE STAFF
The safest city in the Caribbean? Perhaps. The country has its problems but not Jacmel. As friendly as always. And the historic Hotel Florita is unchanged. This is not a place for those addicted to TV and air-conditioning. Friendly staff. Original 19th Century architecture. Filled with art - some excellent and all amusing. The staff is friendly. The music good.

The food was delicious & the restaurant staff was hospitable. Although there was some suspicious activity at the reception when I went to pay the bill. The receptionist swiped my card at the machine and handed me the receipt for my purchase. I requested my card back but she insisted she kept it to write down the digits of my VISA card on a separate sheet of paper. I didn't understand my receipt was in hand but yet still insisted on writing the #s down & told me that I would owe the hotel if she didn't, and would input them on the computer. I asked for a manager they refused to share the manager's phone number and eventually claimed there was no manager. I asked to speak to the owner, and she claimed the owner probably sleeping (it was 10:00 AM). And also refused to share the owner's phone number.

We didn’t stay here, however we spent 5 days (Monday thru Friday) using the hotel’s facilities. We were staying at a beach cottage up the road that had no internet and minimal electricity and we needed a place to park ourselves for the day so our son could remote learn (yay, 2020!) and I could take care of a job interview via Zoom. My husband spoke to the owner and he rented us a portable modem for a flat fee for the week, unlimited usage as long as we were on property. He also ran us an extension cord every single day, for all of our various and sundry electronics. We ate lunch there four out of the 5 days and everything was homestyle and delicious- and they had everything on the menu! Lambi boucané was my favorite. And the rhum punch was very good and very strong. The beach was at our feet and we also had use of the pool, which is really pretty- shaded by palm fronds and bamboo. I peeked into one of the rooms and would absolutely stay at the hotel next time I’m in Cayes de Jacmel. One last thing: everyone at the hotel- the owner and his family, the folks who work there and the people from the community who pass thru- is lovely. Such a good vibe.

Visited the L'auberge Du Vieux Port in Jacmel for a delicious lunch and live acoustic music, and enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much. The owner was charming and charismatic and hosted us as we listened to the music and enjoyed a creole meal with fresh papaya juice. We received a tour of the accomodations and the rooms are lovely, spacious, and cozy. The rooftop patio is suave and has a beautiful view of the city and Port of Jacmel, which is only two blocks away. Nearby you can walk to the port, go to eat, and browse many artists and vendors set up with their work on the cobblestones. Loved visiting!

I will have to admit it maybe my favorite place I have ever stayed . More impressive in person the pictures look beautiful on the website but pales in comparison to the real deal . The views of the ocean from your room is absolutely stunning . Thanks to Frantz the owner and his staff who was responsive to the requests and questions we had . I would definitely recommend it . Sky

If you’re looking for a family-friendly small hotel in Jacmel, look no further than Colin's Hotel. Rooms at Colin's Hotel offer air conditioning. Guests of Colin's Hotel are also welcome to enjoy an on-site restaurant. If you’re looking for things to do, you can check out Bassin Bleu, which is a popular waterfall amongst tourists. The staff at Colin's Hotel looks forward to serving you during your upcoming visit.
Huge waste of time sadly. And staff doesn’t care about repeat customers. High cost for utilizing internet. Limited menu and food mediocre to bad honestly. Better options on street next to Colin’s. Hopefully they realize their error in charging a customer for internet. And staff injects a bit of caring about clientele. Food. An upgrade and some diversity would be better for tourist fare

This hotel had all we wanted - clean, full pool, sun chairs, security guard, wifi and fair priced delicious bbq supper. The staff were polite and friendly and professional. Wifi didn't work in our room and the bottled water was an astronomical, eye-watering $1 US. The room had working AC and good water pressure in the shower. Will stay again next time we're in beautiful, charming Jacmel.
