From the welcome greeting to the departing, this hotel was a wonder to stay at. It even has free electric charging for vehicles. We received a very warm greeting that was not opened with "Are you checking in?" The lady "in charge" of the kitchen at breakfast was wonderful and such a plus to the stay, she must love her job as she was smiling and making pleasantries throughout. The room was immaculate and clean, all we could have asked for. Visiting this area again, this is our go to hotel.

The Sheep on Sheet Street revealed its new look, along with its new name in July 2016. The Sheep brings a new dimension to eating and drinking in the Cotswolds, as well as a little Soho style too. Located in the heart of Stow on the Wold, stay in one of our wonderfully comfortable twenty-two en suite rooms. All the rooms are decorated to a high standard, offering a comfy place to stay. Their sophisticated simplicity gives them a luxurious feel.
Oh my gosh where to start? This is the second time we have stayed in The Sheep on Sheep Street and it certainly won't be the last. Everything you want to use as a home base for visiting the Cotswolds. The rooms are very quiet, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The patio is a great place to have a before dinner drink or an after dinner glass of wine. The restaurant is great, a yummy place for breakfasts and dinners. The food is delicious and the menu has some great choices. The wonderful people that work there are very knowledgeable about surrounding towns and tourist places. Now about these people, they are the nicest and most helpful people you will meet led by the manager Andrew.

Nestled in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold, The Old Stocks Inn is a recently refurbished 17th-century coaching inn that really stands out from the crowd. Our boutique hotel is luxurious, but not stuffy. Elegant, but not pretentious. Quaint, but not twee. We're passionate about what we do and we have fun doing it. We think this all adds up to a unique experience for our guests - but come and see for yourself!
Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Loved our room, modern with vintage touches. Window seats, shutters and a roll top bath ticks all my boxes. Food was great as were staff. Loved the decor. My only criticism would be the English breakfast was a tad bland, expected local sausages to have a bit more flavour. Loved the village as well!

-Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights recently in the Squirrel room in the Stuart House just up the road from the Bell . Whilst the room is really nicely decorated, cosy and very clean, it was absolutely tiny meaning it got very warm and there was no room for storing any bags. This was made more difficult by the many cushions on the bed which looked lovely but meant that a lot of floor space was taken up by storing the cushions. The bathroom was nice with shampoo/conditioner etc with a good shower. One improvement to the room we both said was that it would be nice if there were some bedside lamps as we either had to have the big lights on or nothing at all before bed. One great thing was the parking for Stuart house as I can imagine finding a space would have been really tricky. As we weren’t spending much time in the room anyway, the size didn’t bother us too much but if we stay here again I would definitely book a bigger room as it was a struggle getting around.

Conveniently located in town centre. Not stayed here so can’t answer most of “hotel” queries but called in for afternoon tea and was made to feel very welcome. Served by Lottie who was very friendly whilst being efficient. We sat in the garden with our dog who she also welcomed. Coffee/hot chocolate very good. Cake was lovely. Place appeared clean and full of character. Every member of staff we met were helpful and pleasant. Well done, everyone, especially Lottie

The menu was varied and there were specials on certain nights. We took advantage of these. We will definitely be back . Well done The kings Arms.

Superb location, friendly service, comfortable room with one of the best hotel showers we've ever had. And the breakfast is a delicious feast - so much so we had to skip lunch for each of the 3 days we were here!!

Booked well in advance and we were informed by email that the 3 access codes would be sent 24 hours before arrival as these were required to access the front door, room and bathroom. This did not happen. I tried to contact the customer service desk number provided by the property to no avail. Thank goodness that Booking.com had a fantastic customer service and they provided the information needed. We were not the only people to have This problem as another couple were sat outside the front door when we returned on the second afternoon of our stay they were also tring to contact the property owners. The information given by the property also stated that you were required to hang a card on the door handle if you wanted the room made up, this was also ignored. This review is not all negative the property is very well situated and our Room was very nice, both comfortable and very clean, some very nice extras were provided as well. If these issues were addressed then the review would have been much better.

My husband had booked this stay as a surprise for my birthday. From the moment we turned into the drive, I was blown away. The staff from beginning to the end of our stay were delightful. We were really pleased with the service from Jonathon and Connor. The food was extremely tasty and well cooked. Presentation was spot on. We had a bridal suite with a massive bed. I had to send a search party out to find my husband LOL. Elemis complementary bathroom smellies too. The building is beautiful. Lot's of lovely woodwork, though a little tired in places. Absolutely loved the staircase. We did hear that the Hotel is coming under new management at the end of March. We really hope that the hotel still has the same feel, when we hopefully visit again. Nice garden to walk around and being in the country try, no light pollution either, so we were able to see the stars clearly. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.
