From the moment we arrived at The Hempstead House Hotel and Spa we found everything exceeded our expectations. The grounds are beautifully maintained, giving a first impression that this hotel is very well looked after and guest experience is highly valued. The greeting we received on reception was friendly, amenable and efficient. Our room (no 28) was accessed via the brasserie and spa reception. All the way through to the room door everything was immaculate and well presented, fresh flowers, sparkling floors, ready laid tables and newly decorated walls and ceilings. Our room was huge and sparklingly clean. Really lovely to have the addition of body moisturiser in the bathroom, which had a gently heated towel rail, as a family of 5 we appreciated this in the month of June as we needed to dry towels and swimming costumes without overheating the rooms. The bedding was crisp and fresh without being generic, we appreciated the detail and individuality offered here, not bog-standard hotel linen, something a little bit special. The mattress was also extremely comfortable and a super-king size bed-OMG. We also appreciated the bottled water and biscuits provided and re-stocked by the friendly housekeeping team. The shower was the best shower I've ever experienced! Beautifully hot and powerful, with a large head, you could spend far too much time in there! But breakfast-wow! A lovely dining room overlooking the landscaped garden, white linen tablecloths and silver cutlery. So much choice on the continental side and the cooked breakfast was beyond superior. Deliciously tasty without needing additional seasoning. We were offered as much or as little as we liked of each item on the menu and the service staff were outstanding; knowledgable, friendly, professional and extremely well-presented. And, we loved the addition of individually wrapped west-country butter. We used the spa facilities as a family during the designated family times, which worked really well for us, again everything was immaculately clean and well maintained, far exceeding my expectations. The kids loved the outdoor pool facility as we were blessed with beautiful weather for the duration of our stay. The sauna was super hot as was the steam room, and the water jets in the jacuzzi were phenomenal. Two nights wasn't enough, I could have moved in permanently! If I had to mention one improvement it would be the pillows, but thankfully we travel with our own in the UK so they didn't bother us personally. A feather or memory foam would have been a nice option, even if it was only offered and not provided as standard-having experience in the business I know how difficult it can be to cater to all tastes in this department. All in all a top-quality experience and I can't wait to return. Thank you so much for going above and beyond, it didn't go unnoticed!!

The Beaumont is a 300 year old converted barn in the heart of Sittingbourne. We offer clean, quality ensuite bedrooms with a great breakfast and helpful staff. All rooms have free wifi, digital TV and a great hospitality tray.
Stayed here for one night. Good location and easy to find, plenty of parking (tight driveway if you have a large car). Rooms are comfortable but not huge. Plenty of towels, tea/coffee/bottle of water. Everywhere felt very clean and tidy. Nice little garden area outside with chairs to sit out. Inside there is a lounge area with two sofas and large tv. Breakfast was lovely and served in the conservatory. Full English was well cooked and just the right size. Overall we had a great stay and think this is excellent value for money - we would happily pay more.

Arrived to check on and stood for almost two minutes waiting for the receptionist to stop texting. Despite a couple of forced coughs I was still ignored until the security guard kicked the reception desk to make her pay attention! Great customer service ??♂️

The Golden Hope is one of JD Wetherspoon's newest developments in the hotel industry. Based in the heart of Sittingbourne, this Grade II listed building dates back to the 1800s, and has been beautifully restored to include three double/twin rooms, with one superior suite.
This was our first time staying at the Golden Hope. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Nothing was to much trouble. Holly in particular was super friendly and helpful and such a lovley girl. The room was very clean and could not fault it. I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anybody. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt well cared for as guests. We will see you all again soon. Thanks you all at the Golden Hope. Xx

It’s a comfortable hotel in the centre of sittingbourne with places to eat and drink within walking distance. Large car park. Room was comfortable but once again I’m finding more and more these modern hotels putting glass doors on the bathrooms and no lock on the door and a big gap above and below the door… so these rooms are designed for one person only… the toilet is practically in your bedroom. Nobody wants this… modern interior designers please stop it. Breakfast was disappointing everything was empty. No orange juice, no eggs. I ended up having a sausage with beans and a muffin. Good bar though which was open late and staff were nice.

Green Farmhouse is an old Farmhouse built in the 16th century, set in the Rural Kentish Village of Lower Halstow on the edge of the River Swale. We offer 5 individual and tastefully furnished bedrooms.
Living in Lower Halstow it’s taken a while to find a good excuse to stay at our local Gem of a B&B but our wedding seemed like the perfect opportunity. We booked all the rooms out for 2 nights for our bridal party and I’m so glad we treated ourselves! Carol & Chris are wonderful hosts and made everything about our stay perfect. My wedding morning with the bridesmaids and Hair/make up artists was all accommodated, ran smoothly and Carol was even there to greet us and settled us in for drinks after our reception had finished locally that evening! The level of service really made our wedding weekend perfect and We cannot thank Carol & Chris enough. If you are getting married locally this is the place to stay! If you can find any other reason to simply treat yourself to some beautiful Kentish luxury then do it! We are currently cooking up our next excuse to come back and stay even when we only live round the corner!
