Extensively renovated and expanded with a modern Hotel-building, the 90 year old former youth hostel offers you a trendy and varied accommodation for every need and every budget. Whether you stay in a modern business room, a stylish multiple bed room for groups and families, or in a spacious boarding room with kitchenette - we make sure you feel like home with our genuine and friendly service. It's your perfect location, only a few minutes walking distance to the city, out in the open and close to nature at the same time with numerous leisure activities nearby.
A nice priced accommodation close to Constance. The hostel has very peculiar style. The staff are adequately friendly. The english is a bit limited, but there was no problem with comprehension. The reception is open 24 hours. We got a two-person room that is not very big, but cozy enough. We specifically asked for a room with a double bed when booking. The room seemed to be handicap friendly with lots of emergency bells in the bathroom and by the bed itself. The bed is slightly higher than normal with hard mattress. The cleanliness is satisfactory. There wasn't so much soundproofing. If you're a late riser, you might get bothered by the sound of the door closing by your neighbors in the morning. Unfortunately, the door needs to be slightly slammed to get it locked. The breakfast was quite good. You can get a variety of cereals, bread, toast, pastry, hard boiled egg, coffee and juice. The refilling of the food can take quite some time when it's very busy but they continuously do that until close to the end of breakfast time. The breakfast area is also child friendly, with high chair availability and colorful plastic utensils if needed. The number of parking space is rather limited, but street parking is also possible. The easiest way to travel around the area seems to be with a car.

Holiday Inn definitely didn't hold up to it's name in this hotel. It is hard to compliment even the basic services of a hotel in this particular property. Front office service was slow even on non peak dates and hours, there was only one staff handling the front despite the queue or waiting guests while the manager hid in her office all the time. Front office staff were mostly uninterested in their job. The room itself was 'so-so', the room didn't come with any bottled water, no safe, wardrobe, no room clock or fridge. So if you're thinking of buying cold food to store, don't bother. Housekeeping didn't replace the soaps either, even upon check-in, the soap in the shower was already finishing, nor did they replace with more during the next day housekeeping. Teabags and coffee were also not replaced the next day. The toilet bowl smelled of urine when we checked-in and continued to smell that way even when we flushed several times to try to rid of the smell. Unfortunately we left a smartphone under the covers upon check out. When we realized it, we called front office to let them know we left our phone behind and they said they'll contact housekeeping and get back to us. No only did they NOT get back to us, we called them again ourselves and although less than 24 hours our phone was apparently not found. Breakfast buffet was unexpectedly small and lack of selection. Sure, you get the basic coffee, tea, fruit juices. But warm foods only consisted of half boiled eggs in a basket and pancakes. The hotel has an open air parking, but it is not complimentary to hotel guests. It would cost you 7€ a day to park there. The stay experience was really neutral, but most definitely not in standard with any Holiday Inns we've experienced in and out of Germany. Although I HAVE to compliment breakfast staff (or the one woman who was seen placing breakfast and cleaning tables) she was actually very friendly and greeted everyone even when most never seemed to reply her :(

Hotel Trezor - the NEW Ganter Hotel - in Singen at Hohentwiel - Lake Constance! The GANTER HOTELS continue to grow. After the opening of the Hotel K99 in Radolfzell at Lake Constance in May 2016, another Ganter Hotel is being built in Singen at Hohentwiel – Lake Constance. The building of the former Sparkasse Hegau-Bodensee on the Georg-Fischer-Straße in Singen will accommodate the Hotel Trezor with 60 fully air-conditioned double rooms from Easter 2018 onwards. A clear optical design and noble materials characterize the entire hotel. The fully air-conditioned rooms offer a successful combination of timeless elegance, optimal functionality and superior comfort at a fair price. The partial floor depth windows provide a bright and friendly atmosphere.
Big room, more than enough for the three of us (two adults and 1 teenage kid). Good service. That was the good. The bad: - nowhere in the reservation was mentioned that the room is on the basement floor! - a little bit cold in the room and no way to heat it ...the air conditioning was only for cooling - breakfast was OK but in my opinion nothing to write home about it (some of the reviews state that). It was good but nothing special...just a normal breakfast buffet. In the end in my opinion it was to expensive ...200 euros per night for 3 persons...maybe a little overpriced, keeping in mind that the room was in the basement. Won't stay again.

First thing to note, which is not mentioned clearly enough, is that this is not a "usual" hotel. It's an office building where this "hotel" has the 7th floor offices converted in to rooms. And this is where the problems start to lead to our 1 star review. Because of this unusual setup, there is no dedicated hotel staff. The way this "hotel" improvises is that the person that runs the italian restaurant on the ground floor, sets up a sign at the office building reception for the checkin and hands out the keys. Alone the lack of any dedicated staff and just this key handoff makes this "hotel" more appropriate on airbnb instead of booking.com. Now to the direct cause of our one star review. Due to this improvised setup, the person at check in is untrained, unsuitable and uneducated in hospitality services and to top it off seems to be a rude person by nature. As you might have noticed this is a common theme on other reviews for this place, so it wasn't just us having this impression. Since he sees himself as just the person handing out the keys, he is not able to handle any complaint or escalation and immediately gets defensive and stand-offish. The website states that check in is at 4pm, but usually you can show up a bit earlier at a hotel and maybe drop off your bags. We arrive at 3:30pm, and there is not a soul in sight. Doors are locked and you can't get to reception. I tried calling the number but no one answers. So we sit out in the heat a bit to see what happens. An electrician comes out and says that they are having their annual electical certification going on and the entire building has no power currently so we need to wait a bit and the "staff" of the "hotel" should arrive soon. So we are still sitting out there, no one answers the phone, no one sent us any information about this setup and only an electrician gave us any kind of information. At some point shortly around 4pm the person from the italian restaurant arrives but just walks past us, even though we are sitting there with our luggage, in the heat, outside instead of coming over and explaining what is going on. After I see him set up the check in sign I go in, but already at this point you can see that the check in person has no eye for service at all just walking by waiting guests without a word. I wanted to complain about this lack of service since also not being able to call is not ok for a "hotel". He said that the website says checkin is at 4pm so of course no one will answer the phone before then because no one is here! I said that that was not really ok and even if no one is there they could have it redirect to an on call service person. He laughed in my face when I mentioned this. I am already getting more upset of this interaction and ask him what the escalation process is and asked to talk to a manager or the owner. He again laughs at me and says "I can't contact them. Who knows where they are, they are on vacation!" I said there must be some kind of escalation or complaint process and he says I can get a lawyer and sue them. Wow, really? Does that seem like an answer of a trained hospitality services individual? Then he says he only hands out the keys and beyond that he can't do anything. Clearly I get more upset at this attitude. And he says its my own fault for being there before 4pm (If there would have been any information of this unusal setup or the annual electrical certification I wouldn't have been, but there was zero communication). The next point really pushed the 1 star review home for me. The electrician sees what is going on and he seems to be an actually polite person with a sense for services so he tries to defuse this situation. He tells me "How about we just take a look at the rooms, since I know they are nicer than usual hotels and then you can still decide if you want to stay or leave." This is how the services person at the desk should have reacted instead of getting super aggressive and stand-offish. Then the checkin person manages to yet again show his absolute lack in training for hospitality services and tells the electrician "Stop the begging, we are not going to beg them to stay." Wow, unbelievable, I kid you not, he used the word "begging". The absolut lack of courtesy and service orientation just blew my mind. Not only was he horrible at any services interaction, he also torpedoed the only polite and services oriented comment of the electrician that doesn't even work for the hotel. Even losing my money, we left, not willing to stay at a place that is so rude to its customers. So bottom line for you reading this: Things might go well if you book here, but if there is any kind of issue, chances are you will have a very bad experience because there is no dedicated staff trained in hospitality services and the person at the check in is absolutely unsuitable for the hospitality services industry. Just like at a restaurant where you don't want to tip for obviously bad service, you should consider not giving this place your money for their lack of hotel appropriate service.

Krone Ueberlingen am Ried welcomes you.8 Double/single rooms on two floors are available for you. All rooms new renovated and completed with Flat-Screen TV, coffeemachine, Minibar, free WiFi and comfortable bathroom and balcony.Breakfast and free parking also included.Very warmly and relaxing atmosphere all over. Calm, not far away (6 min) from Bodensee (lake of constance, 35 min to Konstanz, 25 min to switzerland at the smaller part of Bodensee. You will love it :-)
The Hotel Krone is located in the village of Überlingen. It is actually a bed and breakfast pension and does not have a restaurant. The hotel has 8 rooms, which are new, well-appointed and comfortably furnished in a modern design. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony. A Nespresso machine is in the room. The bath room is bright and clean. The breakfast room is inviting with white dressed tables. The breakfast is generous. Egg dishes are freshly prepared. The hotel is a quiet location, except of the church bells. Free parking is available behind the building. The garden is large and well maintained. Unfortunately, no restaurant was opened in the village. A small grocery store is located 50 metres from the hotel. The Hotel Krone is a nice hotel that I can recommend. But it is necessary to have a car to reach the hotel and to find a restaurant. The next big town is Singen or Radolfzell which are 10-15 kms away. .
