Reviewed By eduardolY8182JQThe hotel is dated. One of the pillow cases had red stain dots that looked like lip stick or even blood so I just tossed it to the side and used the other pillows. The TV needs to be modernized - needs more selections, newer remote etc. Regardless, I slept decent. Hilton Garden Inn in Manassas, VA is excellent but then again it is newer. Check in was easy and Donna was helpful. She is very beautiful too. I am local and just needed a place to stay to get away for the night. I stayed in room 217 from 4 to 5 June.

Still the best thing going
Reviewed By TomB844I am a Bonvoy Titanium member, have stayed at this property now one dozen times over the past three years - from pre-pandemic through the hardest days and up until today. They continue to present a clean, courteous, well-located great value, and will remain my hotel of choice in the area. I do see that changes and challenges both in the hotel and around it. The little "restaurant"/Starbucks in the lobby is open again for breakfast and happy hour, which is nice at a property without a lounge. Much of the downtown Silver Spring feels pretty 'normal' once again with plenty of dining and shopping choices, and easy easy walk to a grocery, theater and drug store. Make sure you ask clearly to get housekeeping if you want it. It took me 36 hours to get just clean towels - likely a staffing/communications problem rather than a serous flaw, and all was well at the end of the day. Appreciate the service in these trying times.

Load up on all types of choices eggs omelettes pancakes sausage etc. few things to take with you for your day fruit muffins. Our room was very clean and staff were all very polite and helpful. Nice lady does the breakfast area I wish I had her name. Location is great for what I wanted. Out of DC save money on the room yet nearby the metro. Silver springs station is a straight walk about 15 min it’s really not a big deal if your a Walker. Fare is about 2.80 off peak. There’s some good stores nearby the Target on next block was very convenient. Or 7 eleven across the street. Area is safe even at evening I didn’t feel in danger. Up till about 830-9. I will be staying again

It was a Holiday Inn Crown Plaza the last time I stayed here. They are underway with a total renovation and, when it’s finished, it will be THE place to stay. Not up to Double Tree Standards
Reviewed By billdav3The staff is very friendly, but the hotel is subpar. The AC does not work in just about all of the rooms and from looking at other rooms its been that way for a while. I found candy on the floor in the closet and the toilet was not working. I was there for a conference and only one of those rooms were cool. The website states onsite covered parking, but they only really have valet, there are other lots but who wants to haul thier luggage several blocks. the hotel is very under staffed. Rooms and furniture is dated. had to keep the drapes closed to keep the room as cool as I could get it, which made it dark and whats the point in having windows if you can't see out of them.

Why Are You Open During Major Renovations!
Reviewed By MKRealReviewI'm a frequent traveler, but first time at this Courtyard location. I couldn't be more disappointed and unhappy with my stay. It's unfair for an establishment to go through major renovations and not inform on the website in advance. This location should be CLOSED during the renovation due to how invasive the work that's taking place. When I arrived there was a big crane under the car port blocking the entrance. There were a few workers digging a trench on the left side of the entrance way heaving dirt into the catch bucket. There were actual 40ft. containers in the parking lot. There are power cords, buckets and ladders in the hallway. I had to wait to use the elevator for workers to push two mattresses into the elevator, only to realize only one would make it in. One of the reasons I booked here was the pictured bar. What bar? Isn't it time to take down a "false advertising" picture? Can you believe with the dust, filth and dirt, management can't even put a sign out that typically apologizes. No, they don't even acknowledge. You have to buy bottled water, which normally is ok, but really given the circumstances. Hard to believe I couldn't even get a hot coffee for the horrendous circumstances. This franchise owner is about GREED and obviously doesn't travel much or give a damb about customer experience. Will never return, good luck!

Stay away — you can do better elsewhere
Reviewed By bccloutierDecent facility in a good location but the service is horrendous and some of the clientele are questionable. During our second night, the people (probably unsupervised kids) were jumping up and down for a long period of time. After waiting patiently for the ruckus to cease, I called front desk. After the phone ringing for about five minutes, the desk answered and the clerk said he would address the issue. Nothing changed. Breakfast is decent as fast food goes. Not one employee made us feel welcome. C’mon, #Marriott…do you really want us to begin staying at Hilton properties where we always feel welcome?

Reviewed By G5656NPcjThere were cockroaches swarming the fridge. Several also in the bathroom. Blood stains on the carpet and the sheets. Urine in the toilet when we first entered the room, greeted in the morning by a huge human poop in the stairwell. Stay somewhere else.
