Casa Cavoquinho is not the typical tourist accommodation that you can find in other parts of the island. It is a place where the traveler is part of the community and where you can discover the hospitality of the Cape Verdean people in their traditional way of life.
We have spent four nights at Casa Cavoquinho. Belen, Jose and their great staff made our stay one of the best in many years. The studio had magnificent views over the Paul valley and was fully equipped. The dinners were a succession of discoveries one evening after another of Spanish and Cabo Verde’s flavours with fine and solid knowledge of cooking. They know how to host people and how to advice them on all trekking options you have in this extraordinary area of St Antao island. Highly recommended!

Casa D'Mar is an excellent choice for travelers visiting Ponta Do Sol, offering a family-friendly environment alongside many helpful amenities designed to enhance your stay. The bed and breakfast offers a sun terrace, outdoor furniture, and a coffee shop, to make your visit even more pleasant. The property also features free breakfast. Guests arriving by vehicle have access to free parking. While in Ponta Do Sol, you may want to check out some of the restaurants that are a short walk away from Casa D'Mar, including Caleta (0.1 mi) and O Veleiro (0.1 mi). Enjoy your stay in Ponta Do Sol!
We had a lovely 4 night stay at Casa D’Mar in a comfortable room with a “mountain” Guillaume helped us choose our hikes and arranged transport “collective” back to Porto Novo. Casa D’Mar was well located in Pinta do Sol close to all bars and restaurants. The price was reasonable, the decor of the room, breakfast room all superb.

The family run guesthouse located in the heart of Santo Antao Island is a perfect place for those seeking relaxation in the middle of the nature as well as a great base for trekking in spectacular mountainous surroundings. The guests may also enjoy delicious homemade food as well as coffee or other local beverages.
Having visited Sal so many times we felt it was time for an adventure. We flew to Sao Vicente and then took the ferry to Santo Antao and (aside from the melee of people and vehicles at the port) it felt like we had stepped back in time. Chez Sandro (minus Sandro as he was in Mindelo) was a lovely guest house in a perfect location. In the absence of Sandro, Ady, owner of a nearby restaurant, showed us to our room, which was a family room for the two of us with an ensuite. We ate a delicious home cooked meal at Ady and Juju's before repairing to the roof terrace at Chez Sandro to watch the stars. The local area is sensational; lush and fertile, the scenery is stunning and everyone we met was so helpful and lovely (thank you Claudio and fellow villagers). We absolutely loved our brief stay and will definitely be back. Word to the wise: we hired a car - do not trust Google maps as when Google told us we had arrived at our destination we were actually on a steep mountain ridge (with the settlement of Cova de Paul directly below us we later realised but no way to get there) and had to detour for an hour and a half. But it didn't matter as we saw more of the island. Also, Chez Sandro have their name emblazoned on the side of the guest house but on the opposite side of the building to the way you drive in to the village.

Tienne Del Mar is located in the valley of Paul, right next to the Atlantic Ocean. They offer luxurious rooms with sea- and mountainside view, a wonderful restaurant close to a swimming pool, local products and a relaxing atmosphere. They also have their own biological garden where most of the ingredients come from and they offer guided tours on the island.
The staff is super friendly and used to deal with foreigners (by far not the case in other places in CV) The cook is super talented, and the card is very diversified! The view is excellent! Absolutely no negative things to say!

We ate a few times in the restaurant and found the food to be quite good and home cooked. Some vegetarian options. Decent prices for wine too. My only gripe is their reservation policy. It seems that if they have any reservation - that’s it. The whole day is blocked. We managed to get eat in the place next door and leave, whilst here they just had all empty tables “reserved.” In fact, writing this review sitting in a bench opposite, having a beer bought from the supermarket :D Note: there are not many food options in Ponta do Sol, so reserving dinner is a good idea.

We stayed at Black Mamba during a trip in 2015. We always meant to leave a review but somehow never did. Tonight, we came across an old receipt, which lead as to review it now. Our stay at Black Mamba was memorable. We ate great pizza, and spent the best night of our trip in the little cosy room under the roof after chatting with the very nice lady which owned the place. We highly recommend the place!

Situated in 3,5 km from Porto-Novo, and very aprésier for the calm Casadefrance possesses haughtiness a restaurant and geographical Good location: endowed with a terrace, rooms include quite a terrace (corner lounge). Their bathroom privative and provided with a shower, you can appreciate a sea view or a mountain since your room the advantage is that you can bathe after a rendonner. The beach is magnificent and clean chaisse long at arrangement!!!
Positives Clean.Safe. Room service . Garden is lovely . Food is great ( also a bit repetitive if you are staying more than a few days) and well priced. Great shower. Silvio was very helpful in organising tours and renting a car. The room was big and had 5 beds ( we were just 2 ). Sometimes there was live music in the evening Negatives Few . We should have learned some Portuguese or French ... Wi-Fi can be a little bit flaky but that is on the whole island . The best internet we found was in a small restaurant next to the art hotel ... And a kettle in the room would have been lovely .

Finding an ideal family-friendly bed and breakfast in Santo Antao does not have to be difficult. Welcome to B & B Aldeia Jerome, a nice option for travelers like you. You can take advantage of some of the amenities offered by B & B Aldeia Jerome, including currency exchange. If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant, consider a visit to Black Mamba or ristorante bar Atlantico, which are all conveniently located a short distance from B & B Aldeia Jerome. B & B Aldeia Jerome puts the best of Santo Antao at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
We spend there six nigths. The views were amazing. It's a quiet central place where to relax and enjoy very good breakfast in the top terrace. Room: it has a fridge and a needed fan. The matress was a little bit hot, and we had a little water scape in the bidé that was arranged with a bath carpet. But still minor issues, Staff: all the workers are really nice and friendly, especially Debora. We loved her! Good price for what you get!
