Our room in the renovated farmhouse was spacious, clean, and comfortable - not to mention that it overlooked the vineyards. The staff were welcoming, warm, and very helpful. They provided us a tour of the Buglioni winery in nearby Corrubbio, including a tour of the new winery that they are building right next to the agriturismo. In the next year or so, the winery, agriturismo, and associated restaurant will all be within walking distance of one another - we easily can see ourselves returning in the future! They offer a typical continental breakfast, but with a wide selection (breads, pastries, fresh fruit, etc.). Overall, we had a wonderful stay and this was a great location from which to explore Valpolicella and Lake Garda.

Reviewed By andrei13The villa is located in a quiet area surrounded by wine yards. The building itself looks amazing. It's like the ones you see in the movies. All the facilities are just great. The staff is so nice and helpful. The breakfast is much more then the typical Italian colazione, everything being of top quality. In the evening you can sit in the garden having a glass of great wine from their own production.

Reviewed By Stéphane LLet's start with Villa Giona's unique assets: 1. a magnificent villa designed by an obviously Palladio inspired architect in the XVIth century: to stay there is a privilege 2. a great location, few km away from Verona and with views on the Valpolicella hills and wineyards, quiet and great to rest 3. a beautifull swimming pool with solarium and stunning views on the wineyards 4. a great manager and staff that help you having a great experience 5. an excellent chef who contributes having fine diners on the beautifull villa terraces, enjoying the magnificent garden and listening to the captivating murmur of the central fountain... 6. nice comfortable quiet bedrooms 7. all guests are quiet and discreet Just a fantastic place we can only warmly recommend... As I had a professionnal confcall to hold for an hour, the manager invited me to a beautifull quiet library where I could work and concentrate. We wish we had staid there longer.... and BTW met a French couple who came here for the third time: we really undestood why as thi really is a piece of paradise in this lovely part of Northern Italy; Aperfect address to rest and to visit nearby Verona (by car, a 8' drive).

Great place for family or couple to breath in the nature of Valpolicella

The B&B is located in a cute little town right beside vineyards.We did not know where we were going exactly before we arrived but we were pleasantly surprised about the location and we recommend visitors to take the time to walk around this cute little neighborhood. We stayed in the apartment inside the b&b which is great for us because we like to cook so it is quite important for us to be able to make or self a lovely meal in the evening. It was great to sit down late at night to have a nice dinner together. We will definitely be coming back

The heaven over the Valpolicella vines hills
Reviewed By MihaelaG790I had stayed in Castrum, during my visits to Verona and Bologna fairs. Incredible place, where you can spend few relaxing days and feeling the small villages Italian style of life, exactly like in the old movies, with small roads that goes up on the hills with vines , between the stone walls. The building is XVIII dated, and keeps alive all the history of his and of the region, full of historical places, like Villa Giona, an XVI century building, situated few hundred meters away, an very impressive place surrounded by big gardens, vines and olives. ( I had visited also, it is incredible place) You can discover by walking in surrounding incredible places, but I have to say that is a must to have a car, because even if is situated 8 km from Verona, the connection with public transport is very difficult, or you can spend a lot of money on the taxi. The most incredible part is the amazing view from the terrace, where you can serve the breakfast or have a cappuccino during the morning, or the if you are a gourmand people to enjoy the meals served in restaurant, impressive steaks or traditional italian foods. Even without staying in the hotel, It worth at least a visit of the places and spend an evening at the restaurant , where believe me, the food is incredible. For young people there is a bar also on the other side of the building, with nice atmosphere during the evening . And it was almost to forget one of the most important: you can buy from the restaurant a lot delicious local products: marmalades, chesses, and not the last but the most important – Valpolicella very good vines-all their Castrum brand which is the great value. For the rooms I would give 3 stars, clean and spacious, the breakfast is quite ok, you can find sweets Italian croisants or ham, cheese and egs, enough for breakfast, but not plenty of variety like in the big hotels.

Toplocatie om de Valpolicella regio te verkenen. Veel top wijnhuizen in de buurt en tal van restaurants in de buurt. Een leuke trattoria op 250 meter. Slechts 2 kamers, dus erg rustig en familiaal.

Reviewed By RickBlackWe are only new to using B&Bs but this was amazing Huge well decorated room and ensuite overlooking a vineyard it was exactly what we were looking for as a weekend away from the city and then some The hosts and breakfast were great and we enjoyed a bottle of Valpolicella in the garden after visiting Lake Garda and the wineries I only wish this was closer to home and we could go more often, I hope I get the chance to visit again

Our rooms tell you about three typical Valpolicella’s wines: Ripasso, Amarone and Soave. Moreover, they all have a personal bathroom with a bathtub and air conditioning. In the room, you can also find a little lounge spot. La Caminella has an outdoor pool, which is available seasonally; even there is a big garden with a little playground where your kids can have fun. The B&B has a terrace and a common lounge area where you can relax yourself. The parking spot is free; also, we are pet friendly, so you are welcomed to bring with you your own pet! The nearest airport is in Villafranca of Verona (Valerio Catullo airport), about 14 km from the bed and breakfast and we offer the shuttle service too if you need it. If you like wine this area is perfect
