The money you pay for one night is not worthy at all!! Don’t make the same mistake as us! In Booking.com website there are described some hotel amenities that doesn’t even exist (thermal pool, covered pool, japonese bathtub) and they charge for everything (sauna, hot bathtub), even that it’s not described as paid amenities. Their excuse was that they just bought the hotel and they are having some changes. So they are using the ratings of QAMIQO Hotel while they are SEL LODGE. In the breakfast, there is no coffee (only instant coffee), the juices are not natural and we ordered eggs and we were CHARGED for it. It’s important to say that when we ordered, no one told us it would be charged. In the night, around 12pm we wanted to go out to eat something and the gates were closed and there was no one in the front desk, we called a lot of times and no one answered. We spend half an hour to find someone to open for us. They don’t have minibar, so we needed to ask some ice to make our wine colder. The only thing that was fine is that the manager offered us the sauna and the hot bathtub for free (as described in the website) and gave us two drinks. But it has not change the impression of them being mercenaries, charging so much for one night and not offering the amenities for free. And just reinforcing what I said in the beginning, the price you pay is not worthy at al!! Not recommended.

The four of us loved this place. Tucked into a hillside with a beautiful pool and outside bar as well as many sitting areas under the trees to escape the hot summer sun. Our rooms were very nice and clean. The restaurant is very cute and eclectic and the food marvellous. Each of us got a different entree and all were delicious. We had just one night here, but we all agreed we could have stayed another night if we didn’t have a plane to catch. I would highly recommend you consider a stay here. It’s also just 3 miles from the town of Maipo which is a nice little place to have a cervesa.

We are an ecologically oriented, nature loving people thus we attempted to blend into the mountainous environment without disturbing the landscape. We have built our site with materials native to the area; we have used stones from our rivers, wood from our forests, mud from the area and bricks made by local artisans. We believe in sustainable, renewable sources of energy, thus we heat our water with solar energy and most of our electricity is produced by wind power. We recycle as much as possible and make compost with our food scraps to fertilize our gardens or use it to feed our chickens and ducks. Our accommodations include 9 rooms all of which have a private bath and deck. We are able to offer rooms with a queen size bed and others with two full size beds. All of the rooms have a futon bed for additional guests. We offer a nutritious continental breakfast at no additional cost. Also available are some fee based services: massage therapy, paragliding, trekking, horseback riding and rafting. As part of the services included in the price we offer access to the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, game rooms, home theater, barbecue grills, a large patio by the swimming pool, bikes, pool and ping-pong tables and the ability to cook your own meals using a large kitchen fully equipped. Check in is between 15 at 20 pm- Check out is at 12 noon We are confident that you will enjoy our accommodations and the activities in the area.
We stayed at Carlito´s last weekend because we needed to relax, so we called spontaneously and got the last room. I don´t want to get too much into how it is, because since our last stay almost everything stayed the same, with one exception, which made a huge difference: They changed the system regarding the meals, which, at least for us, was the best thing that they could have done! To explain myself, with the old system they managed everything in a strict BnB-modality; they offered a great breakfast, but lunch and dinner was up to you, which meant you had two options: Cooking yourself in the kitchenette they had for guests or leave and look for restaurants (which meant driving, waiting, making reservations, etc.) Now, they removed the kitchenette and are offering instead the possibility of a Menu for Lunch and/or Dinner. The price is pretty fair, the quality and the presentation is really good and it consists of entry, main plate, dessert, salads, beverages (soft drinks and wine) and, which is amazing, from my point of view, you can repeat yourself. So, for us, it´s an amazing change, because we don´t need to leave anymore to have lunch or dinner, which implies staying there the whole time, being able to really relax, and enjoy wine to the meals without having to be afraid because in Chile there´s a zero tolerance policy regarding alcohol and driving. If we previously recommended it with the “but” of needing to cook or go outside, now we recommend it without any restrictions at all. Nogalia has been designed taking care of every detail to achieve an intimate contact with nature, in fact it is located on a field of century-old walnuts, and during its construction it was guarded to keep intact this natural patrimony. In addition, because it is located 12 km from San José de Maipo, in the village of San Alfonso, it has that renewing and healthy air of the mountain range, especially when waking up, where every morning you can see in detail the range of colors In the sky and the landscape. The tourist center Nogalia consists of 7 cabins full equipped, each one has inside a walnut and allow a wide view of the landscape, Since each one has large windows and large terraces to relax and rest. It also consists of swimming pool, fire pit, outdoor hot tub, playground and green areas.
Loved the large airy cabins in this tranquil setting of wallnut trees. Our cabin easily accommodated our family of 5 as it had 1 dbl, 1 twin and a tiny single bedroom, a bathroom, an open kitchen/living area as well as a large deck with parilla (BBQ). Although we did not use it, there was a fire pit area in the garden too. We all loved the fact it was built around an 120 year old wallnut tree. No insects at night so could leave all windows open. It has a small pool area, a trampoline (dug in the ground), a cubby house so kids were happy. Down the street (2 min walk down the hill), there is a very simple but good restaurant with authentic dishes, also a few small kiosks with fresh bread and fruits, etc. 4 min walk is a great horse riding hacienda which gives amazing 3 hour horserides to a waterfall (so bring your bathers). Not for the faint hearted though! Owner and manager very friendly.

Our Hostel. We invite you to enjoy your stay at a unique place with outstanding natural attractions that this Andean paradise……where? …at Hostal de Antaño.We are a traditional family of Cajón del Maipo with forefathers which lives where developed in this mountains and in this ancient house that now a days is our Bed & Breakfast. The idea of converting this family home into Hostal de Antaño was born due to the great love we have for this house and the dream of seeing it recover the life it once had. We have partially restored the house, but we conserve part of the original furniture and décor that tells years of stories of this lovely home. Our mission is to make you feel in the past enjoying the coziness of our Bed & Breakfast in a homey and stunning nature environment.
Mauricio (the owner) was phenomenal!!!! I had to make a last minute booking at 9pm the day of. When I have arrived at Mauricio's guest house he was already waiting for me at the door. He has kindly helped me with parking my vehicle and was very polite and respectful, as I was a female solo traveler. I also happened to be the only guest staying at his premises that night and felt completely safe. The room was very clean, and he had breakfast ready for me in the morning. Mauricio's actual home where he lives is right next to the guest house, and there is an intercom phone to ring him if you need something. Breakfast was simple (cheese, ham, juice, hot beverage, jam cookies and bread) but plentiful! I did not leave that place hungry! Would definitely come back again and/or recommend staying here. Also, i think it's important to mention that this establishment has more of a guest house vibe, not a hostel. Also, this establishment has more of a guest house feel, versus a true hostel.

Absolutely a must see. The best place I stayed in Chile. Antonio, Marco, and Claudia were amazing. I was treated like family from the moment of my arrival. Enjoyed Chilean red wine on the deck area watching the sun set then passed the evening in the hot tub sipping champagne. Everything was immaculately clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I was able to gaze at stars that I have never been able to see anywhere in the world. If you visit Chile and don’t visit Antonio, you are leaving your trip incomplete!!
