I stayed at this hotel after a few flights and both the room and food in the restaurant lived up to expectations. Breakfast here is the standard "continental" fare with a good selection of cold cuts and local cheeses etc.

Nearly hiked past this pension but stopped (as the guide we had knew about it) and what an excellent place for lunch. Full on local food all made from their local produce. Simply put I think this was the best meal (for me) for my whole week hiking.

In CAMINO DE SANTIAGO, Samos (Galicia) HOUSE DIAZ (XVII), warmly hospitality in a family atmosphere to guests and pilgrims from around the world walking the Camino Frances to Santiago. Hosting spacious, elegant and simple spaces where wood and stone, with its old beams, recount the years of production history as tanning, agricultural crops and livestock. Painting, antique furniture and statues are part of an interesting decoration charm. It offers quality services and modern comforts with traditional style and ideal typical stay. Our motto is simply: "FEEL" located on the Camino de Santiago. "ENJOY" touring where beauty is itself subjective and need to see it. "WORK AND LEISURE" companies to schedules. "NATURAL" for lovers of splendid autochthonous environments. "SPORTS" to nature trails in the valley of Louzara-Caurel, free fishing in the river Sarria and increased hunting quota reservation.
We stayed in Hotel Casa De Diaz in August, It is a very beautiful and well maintained hotel. The bedrooms are beautiful and full of old world charm. You would say it is 'quaint' as quite a compact site everything is very close together in it. The pool looked very inviting unfortunately it rained while we were there so didn't experience it. We had breakfast on a few of the days, there was always something different to eat I think me, personally, I would have liked cold milk for my cereal. It is a cold buffet style breakfast but you can use the microwave. The surrounding area was quiet and very beautiful, only 3km to Samos which is very lovely. I would recommend this hotel it is a bit of a retreat, only downside was the carparking inside the gates is quite small so OK for a small car but not for a large one. The hosts were very friendly people there was always staff doing maintenance around the grounds.

Casa Licerio is a guesthouse located in Samos, Spain, on the French Camino de Santiago. It was built before 1923 in a typical Galician countryside style, remodeled in 1985 to receive pilgrims and visitors and has been open since 1987. Casa Licerio provides accommodation for up to 14 guests in private ensuite rooms, 2 of them with a balcony and views to the mountain. All rooms are located on the 2nd floor and being an old house there is no elevator. Although we cater primarily for pilgrims, all visitors and guests are welcome. A breakfast buffé is served from 7:30 to 8:30am. No smoking is allowed in any areas of the house and we are a pet free property.
I had the impression to be at home in this lovely rural house in Samos. The staff is very friendly, the house clean and comfortable. Just be aware of the temperature as some rooms can get very warm in hot days.

This was about a 4 hour drive from Madrid airport and it was a good location for an overnight stop on the way to Santiago in Galicia. Brand new, inexpensive, pristine little hotel, right on the Camino in the pilgrim town of Samos. Araceli was our kind hostess. Our room had a view of the monastery, and when we left early next morning we could see it in the mist -- very atmospheric. We had breakfast at a coffee bar where several Camino hikers were gathered and the art on the walls reflected the Camino setting. A great start to our trip. Would also recommend stopping off at the town of O Cebreiro for some pilgrim ambience.

Family resort in which we combine tradition with modernity already several years.good situation in the French way, likewise in the village of samos we are nestled in front of the famous Benedictine monastery of Samos, a few meters from the Romanesque chapel of S .IX, try our craftsmanship that all of our guests are be at home.
We stayed for a night on our way to Santiago. The hostel is quaint and well preserved. We loved everything: the venue, the room, the restaurant... Really tasty food for a budget price. The hostel is just oposite the convent, at the very middle of the town. We couldn't have chosen better. 100 % advisable choice on the Camino.

I always advocated that the owner or senior staff should use all the facilities including sleeping at the hotel in each room. A very nice set up Washing machines and dryers. The toilets 2 toilets and 2 showers and sinks. I assume the same for women. Unfortunately the one I used the spray head was broken in that the water defuser was missing. I did not notice until I was using the shower! Comfortable double bunk beds. Whilst a very cold day for June in northern spain the heating was on. Very nice. There is kitchen area for use by quests and a number of chairs and tables. TV available in that area also computer and printer.

Gostei do albergue. Limpíssimo, quarto com três beliches somente. Em frente ao albergue do Monastério. Atendimento muito rápido e cortez. Comida muito boa servida no próprio restaurante do albergue, sai uns mexilhões que são simplesmente deliciosos. Recomendo!!!
