Reviewed By rosesinthornsMaya Hotel was a beautiful oasis in the city. The backyard has multiple sitting areas esconced in tropical plants as well as a sitting area right on the river. The breakfast in the morning was hearty (eggs, cheese, meat, yogurt, fresh local fruit and warm bread). We met many other travelers there, the staff is English speaking and super friendly. The bed was big, comfortable and the showers hot. Chalalan ecolodge booked this on our behalf before we did our jungle tour and we’re so glad they did!

Reviewed By 4BirdersThis little hotel is well worth a visit. We stayed for a total of 3 nights, both before and after our tour into the Pampas. The owners were very friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was also pretty good and freshly prepared.

Reviewed By Jack-Wilde-10El Curichal hostel is in a good location close to the majority of the tour companies for trips into the Amazon as well as the two best food spots in town (Luna lounge) and (Luz de mar). The hostel has a swimming pool, hammocks to rest in and a lovely social area next to a wonderful water feature. The manager spoke brilliant English and was very kind - he informed us of the nicer bus on a Sunday back to La Paz (very much needed if you want to sleep) and booked it for us as well as allowing us to shower and relax until our bus on the back of our Amazon Madidi jungle tour.

You can lay back next to the swimmingpool, planning your next tour to the Selva or Pampa, thanks to a good wifi connection. It is a very quiet and clean place. And the breakfast is huge and so good! Some fruits and stuff sur orders to a french bakery close to the hostel!

They helped me out with everything with even making money. Ended up getting back there for a few nights to enjoy the bar and pool. Lovely pets and the food is amazing. Beds where amazing for Bolivian standards!!! Prices are cheap do i need to say more ?? Gooo and experience the hospitality yourself ??

Reviewed By minimcvWe had a comfortable stay with a a warm welcome. The grounds are well maintained. The decor is a bit dated but you are in the jungle and everything was clean. We were grateful for the fridge, air con and safe. We didn't eat an evening meal there (they would have prepared one with a a bit of warning) or use the pool but we did have a very generous breakfast and they were happy to help out with anything.

Reviewed By DawnieMThe rooms are large and although shabby they are clean. We stayed on the ground floor because the WiFi worked there and we needed to work. The staff are..... friendly sometimes and darn right rude other times. Today at breakfast was a perfect example. Yesterday I was given a big juice and smiles and do even offered more... and today I was ignored and eventually given half a small glass of juice and the breakfast lady poured out the rest for herself and gulped it down.... there was no bread and I wasn't offered anything else. So I sipped my juice, said a polite thano you and left. It was a bit like a scene from Fawlty Towers.... when we checked out and paid and said thank you again. We were ignored totally. Even handing over the cash garneyed no response.
