Sheltered by a private golden beach and soaring cliffs, Avani Quy Nhon Resort offers a tropical beach and spa retreat generous in spirit and beauty. Muted shades of mint and white with splashes of aubergine of each of the 63 room and suites offer a soothing palette and contemporary comforts
Unfortunately, the food is terrible and over-priced. for what it is. I would have happily paid a lot more for decent food. Hire a few more like Hari and Duk! They worked miracles given the tools available to them.

My first impression when entering the lobby feel a bit cold, no decoration to make us feel welcome. And only receptionist, there is no bellboy or guard. Understandable that the hotel is just opening after pandemic break. Room is decorated with simple minimalist furniture and modern accessories. Breakfast is just ok, mixed between Vietnamese and a bit Western food. For the price in low season is good.

I was told that this resort just reopened on Nov 6, 2021. The room was good and kept very clean, the food was good but, service very slow in getting a 2nd glass of wine!!! Water sports weren't opened yet. Internet cost US$25.00/14 days for one device. Worked ok on cell phones, they needed to install Fire Fox on my Microsoft Surface Pro tablet in order to get wifi? I couldn't wait for the download, it was extremely slow and when tethering to my cell phone, I couldn't connect to my online accounting software. We went to Jolly Rogers Restaurant to use their WiFi. It worked extremely well. Great restaurant, great food and owned by Canadians.

Good location. Staff friendly. Large rooms. Poor breakfast menu with local food. Some bread with jam. Hard-boiled eggs, omelette without cheese, fried eggs... Salad? Could say no. Local flavor coffee.

Staff at check in didn't speak any English, but understood enough of it , as when informing them that the price that they where offering was more expensive rate that online on a main booking engine, they rushed to close that rate . As I was tired travelling I booked another one type of room still available online. At check out English speaking staff was available and the breakfast was nice. Muong Thanh always offer a reasonible product with descent hygiene and service so the rest was OK.

Location: it’s not in the popular tourists destination(Quy Nhon), it’s far away. You can see based on the phone area code(057). Took you about 10USD from the resort to Quy Nhon city, an hour from the nearest air port. Room: booked a villa cause we want private, but no. It’s so noisy with the passenger past by. Amenity quality sucks big time. Service: ask for ice cube to chill baby’ milk, service charge of 2USD. Charge you 7USD because for changing the dirty towel. Hello! Isn’t you have to change the towel daily for guest? Restaurant: was inform breakfast ready at 6:30am, came at 6:30am, nothing much there. Reason: too early food not ready. Please only stay here if you want to have a horrible holidays!

The building is nice, well situated but the establishment isn’t configured for international tourism… no breakfast is provided except Vietnamese soup. On another hand it’s not very clean… as we found hairs on the pillows and in the bathroom… and overall, they asked us to pay an extra when we checked out, because they found traces of sand in the smallest towel !! I just had to rinse it at the reception to avoid to give them any extra… really not a fair reception !

FLC Luxury Hotel Quy Nhon is an exceptional structure, inspired by the image of a huge dragon on bright white sand beaches, where lie 327 spacious and comfortable rooms and suites, then embellished by all modern conveniences you would expect, and even more.
This is a really tough review to write as it is clear that the hotel is currently extremely understaffed - and not likely to increase staffing until the number of guests increases. It's really tough on the hospitality industry right now. Our initial check-in process was very smooth and friendly. There is currently no airport shuttle so guests have to make their own way to the hotel (app 25 km). Get a rate that includes the FLC Safari Zoo! Amazing! The hotel itself is a really cool design. It looks quite retro and is a welcome break from modern squares and gaudy styling of certain competitors. The room was pretty large and the bathrooms (there were two) were a good size as well. It is clear that it's been a while since these rooms have been consistently occupied. There were some maintenance issues like a leaking sink and a non-adjustable A/C. The hotel fixed both very quickly. One of our two patio doors seems to have been rusted/fused shut but we just used the other door and did not report it. The pool is huge and beautiful. The beach is also beautiful but the red-flag (no water entry) conditions prevented swimming access. And, it is also apparent the crews are still trying to repair storm damage from last year. But, we still spent time every day watching the waves, walking the beach (and jogging). If you head out to the beach and turn right, you'll fairly quickly be at the beachfront fishing village of Nhon Ly - well worth a visit. The breakfast at the FLC Luxury is currently closed - but guests are shuttled to the FLC Golf Resort next door. It's only a quick walk so it's really not a big deal that they've consolidated services while there are so few guests. However, the staff seriously struggled to keep the buffet supplied with food, beverages, and glasses. On both days, they ran out of water and regularly had limited quantities of food. We actually specifically got up early for breakfast on our second morning to avoid the shortages. (They still ran out of water!) The staff are trying their best but it seems they're not being properly supplied. While the staff was generally great, we were pretty disappointed by a series of early interactions with front desk staff - one manager and one clerk. We had coordinated for bike rentals so we could bike into Quy Nhon city. When we arrived, we were told we could not leave the property and that the bike rental cost was much higher than we'd been quoted. The duty manager made it quite clear that her first approach was to accuse us of making up the information we had received by calling the hotel directly. Her second approach, once we showed her the outgoing call from our phone was to try to determine who had given us apparently incorrect information rather than try to help us find a resolution. In the end, the bikes were in pretty bad shape from exposure to sea air...and we only used them once. Then, when we brought back bubble tea and a bottle of water, we were warned that the hotel could charge us VND 5-10 million ($220-540) for bringing outside food into the resort. There was no mini-mart or place to buy anything so it was pretty offensive to be hassled like that. It wasn't as though we had ordered delivery to our room even though there was no food apparently available.
