I stayed at Simba Safari on a last minute stop with a friend. The accommodation is comfortable and spotlessly clean. The pool is a great bonus too! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to arrange a comprehensive safari trip at short notice. The food is excellent - a very tasty three courses served after a long day on safari. We had a wonderful time! Thanks Simba!

Tucked away in Western Uganda on the shores of Lake George inside Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge welcomes you with a stunning view of the Lake and the Rwenzori Mountains. Our Lodge is the perfect location for those who want to experience the tranquillity of unspoilt Africa, untouched by mass tourism. Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge is a unique place where you can be at one with all forms of nature from the balcony of your Cabana. We have seven African styled cottages with en-suite facilities, King and Queen sized beds, Wardrobe, reading table and mosquito nets. Our facilities include Wi-Fi internet, a swimming pool, ample parking space and compound gardens for picnics.
We spent two nights at the Ihamba in February 2022. This is a smaller, mid-range lodge located inside Queen Elizabeth. We saw Elephants and Hippopotamus from the lodge and our room. The pool was excellently maintained and inviting after long days of travel. The menu is limited but excellent and flexible to guests travel schedules. We have a return visit with the whole family planned for June 2022.

Kasenyi Safari Camp is strategically located on the rim of lake Bunyampaka in the Kasenyi savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The camp has an elevated dining structure that is meticulously thatched. The tents are on platforms with a thatched canopy roof. There are four tents all with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living areas & private decks. Many animals frequent the camp during day & at night. Lion prides, hippo, leopard, buffalo, elephant, waterbuck, kob, hyena & wart hog are frequently seen. The night comes alive with sounds of hyenas howling & lions roaring.
When you arrive you meet this very beautiful lady named Ruth who welcomes you and fulfills every wish while you stay in the camp. She is the soul of this lodge. Thank you so much. The owner of the camp- Philip- is not just a lookalike of Morgan Freeman, he is also an expert and friend of hyenas and gave us an unexpected gift and was doing a nightdrive.

Our Family Christmas Holiday was amazing with an excellent wild experience at Engiri Game Lodge & Campsite. The staff Gift, Linet, Simon, Sharon and Mike gave us a true hospitality service you would like to experience. We had great meals and the chef was quite excellent for the FB option we had. We opted for the Camping tents which were comfortable, neat and of great experience. From the restaurant we could view a heard of Elephants nearby. We had great campfire which was cut short by the rains. Having Wireless internet was quite great however only accessible at the main building and was frequently interrupted. We had sports amenities with us and as such the camping area had great space for mini sports activities like soccer and badminton. The greatest experience was our second night when a heard of elephants visited and was feeding at our camp area, the Night guards Simon and Mike frequently engaged them for close to 3 hours as they came close to our tents. We look forward to yet another camping experience at Engiri Game Lodge & Campsite.

We stayed at Enganzi Game Lodge for one night while in Uganda on holiday. After a long safari day, it was nice to get out of the car and stretch your legs. Be prepared for a bit of a hike to and from your room. There is quite a bit of stone stairs that will lead you to your room, and they are a tad steep. We thankfully did not have to carry our luggage; the staff was kind enough to take our bags to and from our room. There is no wifi in your room, which is expected, but there is wifi in the dining room/reception area for you to use. Power will also shut off during the night, which is also normal for Uganda, so charge your camera gear and phones earlier in the night so you are prepared for your morning. The food was not bad, and the staff were nice. We had a bit of a bathtub mishap after dark and we could not get it to drain, and it started leaking all over the bathroom. We walked up to the reception area where the night guard was at, and he was able to get another staff member to come and help us. I wouldn’t recommend walking by yourself at night, we should have just left it until the morning. Also be aware that you are in rural area, so there are going to be spiders and other critters. We saw quite a few spiders in our room. We tucked our mosquito net underneath the mattress to prevent them from crawling into bed with us. Thankfully we had a kind lizard friend that was taking care of the problem. We watched him hunt for a while before we went to sleep. Once seeing a spider that is as large as a cell phone, you are a little jumpy so sleep that night was sparse. The room itself was nice, it had a large bed with mosquito net, a full bathroom with a sink, shower, and tub (which was great for washing a few clothes), an area to hang up clothing, a desk, and a sitting area. They have a pool, but we did not swim as we did not have enough time. The views from the property are stunning.

We stayed at Irungu Lodge in December and really enjoyed the lodges, people are extremely friendly and Tony the owner is really a nice guy! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful, they were very kind and we liked the family friendly atmosphere. There are black out times for lights from 10:00 P.M.-5:00 A.M. which was fine but just be prepared.

We spent 3 days there and you will find below our point of view. We believe there are better options in Queen Elisabeth + * Great location within Queen Elisabeth park * Food is good. Everyday new dishes * The area is great with great view * Staff are very helpful and willing to make your stay great - * The view is stunning and you wish to get a nice jump is the pool after your game drive as it is 35 degrees outside ? The pool is not clean at all, you don't even see through. No filtration system, not clean everyday... that is a total No Go for us as we chose the hotel for that * Drinks are way more expensive than in any other hotels we have been staying in Uganda, even in the most expensive or remote ones * Recurring Internet shortage.. * Rooms definitely needs a renovation soon: very old appliances, windows not closing properly..etc
