Llamas, sheep and alpacas roam the plains of Puno, a port city in southeastern Peru. Their fleeces are used to make the area’s signature textiles, which make excellent souvenirs. You’ll do a lot of walking here, as many of the streets are too steep for cars. But the climbs are worth it for the excellent views of Lake Titicaca. Take a boat to the Floating Islands or get up close and personal with the four-legged locals at a llama farm.

This hotel is a bit characterless, but none the less is a good location for trips out on the lake to see the Uros islands. Staff were a bit disinterested, with long waits even when not busy especially at breakfast and in the bar. Rooms very warm, air con locked off and no opening windows.

I would highly recommend the hotel Tierra Viva at the heart of the Puno plaza. The location is very convenient to access the main plaza as well as restaurants and lake titikaka. The hotel staff was very helpful, and Albert went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and successful. Breakfast in the morning was incredible. The rooms and lobby were clean and felt very secure. Also the heat in the room is a huge plus as it does get cold at night.

We are located 02 blocks from the main square of Puno. All our rooms are with private bathroom, buffet breakfast included and has elevator.
The room was cheap, and good enough for one night as we only did a stopover on the way to cusco. The location was good, walking distance to all the restaurants. Breakfast was ok but very basic There wasn't any hot water in the shower and shower pressure was not good The hotel was not well insulated, it was cold in the room with no heating, and there was a lot of traffic noise. The room was carpetted, but there was a wet patch directly outside the bathroom door on the carpet. The staff said there was no day-time bus to cusco, but i think that was because they really wanted us to book a tour with them. Some of the room had mould on the wall just outside the bathroom, with the paint peeling off it.

Dazzle yourself with the beautiful landscapes that accompany the beautiful Titicaca lake. Live an unforgettable stay where you will live a complete world of experiences. You will enjoy an amazing night in our rooms overlooking the beautiful Titicaca lake
I highly recommend staying here, and soon. The Uros floating islands community is in a time of change, and you can still really see the traditional lifestyle here, while also enjoying the comforts of this beautiful lodge. I think things are changing quickly in the area, and the opportunity to see life as it is now won't last long. Staying here is a like glamping, with the gorgeous comfortable beds and perfect views of sunsets and rainbows, not to mention hammocks and outdoor beds to enjoy, and full meals served to you three times a day. But also it's on an island made of reeds in a traditional community, so don't expect unlimited electricity and internet, unlimited hot water, alcohol, or your food whims to be fulfilled. Come here to be here, not to replicate the habits of the city you live in. The lodge is run by a family that is beautifully committed to sharing their community to travelers, and love to do so. They speak English and Spanish as well as Quechua and Aymara, and will take you out on the water and answer all your questions about life lived in Uros, the experience is priceless, truly. We spent three nights and that was just right - enough time to settle in to the island and see both the local islands and more distant Isla Taquile. Another night or two would have given us time to paddle around on our own in a canoe, or take another excursion to a more distant island. Give yourself enough time to really be here. The price is all inclusive, and is a tremendous value.

Our island, Khantati, is an authentic rural homestay you won't find anywhere else. Our goal is to provide you, the visitor, with a living hands-on experience here among the reed islands of Lake Titicaca. Our lives depend on the lake, so we strive to ensure our impact on the environment is minimal. Our island accommodations are clean, comfortable, and always ecologically friendly.
An amazing experience! Abraham Victor and Christina are 3 of the kindest most caring hosts we have ever met. They have turned their floating island into a place one can have a beautiful time with king beds, private bathrooms and amazing views. Victor took us out on an authentic boat and showed us the traditional activities of the island people like fishing and the collecting of the reeds! Christina showed us the traditional clothes of the people and brought us special hot water bottles for the bed so that it can be warm and cozy during the night! Abraham prepared our food which was tasty and authentic. Just an amazing experience overall.

Surrender to your senses in a secluded experience lodge on a private peninsula. Go beyond the ethereal landscapes, traditional communities and ancient ways. An enigmatic sense of peaceful solitude at nearly 4000 meters above sea level.
The staff was so outstanding--dispensing oxygen when needed due to altitude, arranging special excursions, and greeting us every morning and evening with a great attitude. They knew all of your allergy and food preferences. Our room was a corner suite--so comfy and cozy, with stellar views. Highly recommended.
