Excellent Stay in Paradise
Reviewed By R4152LJsamantharOn my 5th visit to Corumbau I had the opportunity to experience Vila Das Mangabeiras, and I am so grateful that I did. I wanted a place to stay for the 4 weeks I would be here, with the flexibility to leave and come back depending on my travels. Fernando and Patricia were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. They are genuinely happy people whom seem to love what they are doing, and it was apparent throughout all our interactions. At first I stayed in the 2-story loft, which had everything a family would need – including a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and bedrooms, an outdoor seating area, a hammock, and a gated parking space. It was a very private space and we watched many incredible sunsets right from the patio bench. My next stay was in a private bedroom with a bathroom and mini fridge, which was perfect for what I needed at the time. I loved the big screen window so I could leave the shutters open all day. At times when I did not have a car, it was an easy walk to the beach and there is a small supermarket and restaurants nearby. The gated area for parking was much appreciated, and the breakfasts absolutely incredibly delicious! I got to swim in the pool a couple times, and it was so refreshing, and always clean. Fernanda and Patricia's team was always polite and genuinely helpful in whatever way we needed. Felipe, their volunteer, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and his wonderful nature was much appreciated. He spoke fluent English, and he saved me many times with this! The entire team was highly respectful of the COVID situation and they were constantly wearing masks. There was alcohol disinfectant for the guests in the public areas, and I saw the team thoroughly sanitizing the breakfast area after we left. So, not only is it a beautifully well-maintained pousada, but it is also highly respectful towards what is going on in the world and its guests. I loved the outdoor areas – the pool, the hammocks and the lounge chairs. Immersed in nature it was easy to let go of everything and just enjoy the natural beauty and simplicity of things. I will definitely be back, and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Reviewed By Stephanie KWe stayed 1 week at this extraordinary place! The nature and beautiful beach are a perfect place to relax and escape from the everyday life. My friends and family spend the day under the solar sails at the beach, made walks to the fishermen's village, snorkeling or stand-up padelling.... The weather was constantly warm with a refreshing breeze from the ocean. We drank everyday at least a fresh coconut which are delicious! The food at Jocotoca is very good. Especially the fish. The morning began with a wonderful arranged breakfast. I would recommend Jocotoka to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the nature and people in Corumbau.

Ótima opção de Glamping
Reviewed By Mariah_LovisiO lugar é uma delícia, fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Bruno e Alexandre! A comida de todos os momentos , estavam deliciosas, assim como os drinks. Sobre a acomodação: para uma experiência tipo “acampamento” foi ótima. A cabana e os banheiros eram bem limpos e de bom gosto. A cama era extremamente confortável. Achamos apenas que a cabana tinha pouca área de circulação, cabe só a cama. A noite tivemos muito problemas com mosquitos , já que tínhamos apenas um ventilador, mas nada anormal para uma opção de “ acampar”. Se possível vale a pena levar um inseticida de tomada para colocar na barraca. As construções são incríveis o trabalho pensando na sustentabilidade pode ser visto da construção ao servir do café da manhã . Por exemplo os suquinhos vinham em garrafinhas de vidro! Vale a pena a experiência!
