With 50 rooms in the main building and 200 bungalow rooms spread within a 74,000 square meter landscaped garden of shrubs, fruit trees and olive groves the AA category SUNRISE VILLAGE BEACH HOTEL makes an ideal choice for those seeking a relaxing holiday. The hotel is a splendid setting for banquets meetings, receptions, weddings and presentations. The Othello Conference Hall adjacent to the main bar equipped with audiovisual equipment and air conditioning can accommodate 270 people in theater-style formation. With two of its own beaches well provided with sun beds & umbrellas you will always find a place to relax at the water edge. There is a bar by the large fresh water swimming pool so refreshments are always near to hand.
Like others, I don’t usually write reviews but thought it important to warn others about our experience. First the good bits, Great pool and lots of sun beds Food is ok if a bit repetitive Now for the bad We arrived on Sunday afternoon and given the key to our room along with directions how to get there. When we entered there were 2 birds nests on our balcony ceiling which looked like wasp nests and the balcony floor was covered in birds crap. When we informed reception staff they just asked what we wanted them to do about it. Luckily we were eventually moved to another room without the wildlife and crap. All entertainment is for the French guests including the daytime activities and we were actually told that we could not take part in certain events!!!! Staff and animation team seem to ignore you unless you have a red wristband which are only given to guests who book through Lookea (French TUI) Jet2 rep didn’t turn up until Tuesday and the only answer she had was that they had only been booking this hotel for the last 2 weeks so didn’t know much about it. Nothing to do in the local area and nearby town not accessible unless by taxi The beach is very quiet but very run down with no facilities so you have to do a 10 minute walk up a very steep mud path back to the hotel to get a drink or use the loo. It is also very stoney with no sand so beach shoes are a must The evening staff are very very rude and we were told we had to go to bed or go outside at midnight because we were talking too loud. They then turned all the lights out leaving us in total darkness. We are a couple in our 50s so we’re not exactly raucous party animals Rooms are very tired and most of the showers appear to be broken so you have to hold the hose above your head while trying to wash yourself We paid extra for a double room but we’re told by staff that they don’t actually have any double rooms and all their rooms are twins The rooms are serviced daily but I don’t know if they do anything other than make the bed as nothing ever seemed to be moved and no sign of any cleaning There was a muddy/bloody footprint outside our door and blood spots on the floor in the corridor when we arrived and they were still there a week later when we left so these areas don’t appear to get cleaned. I know this was not an expensive holiday but it could have been so much better with a few improvements and had we known it was only aimed at French guests we would never have booked it.

The apartments were close to the sea, also to Petalidi, and they were located in a beautiful garden with olive trees, figs, banana trees. Two lovely ponies in an adjacent garden greeted us whenever they saw us. We found shops for groceries in Petalidi and Messini, after a short drive. The apartment was clean, but nobody came to clean it again or to empty the garbage bin in 5 days! The kitchen was not very well equipped (only two tea mugs for 3 people, only one teaspoon, etc.), but we managed. We appreciated the complimentary water, olive oil, coffee, sugar and sweets, just a small amount, but it was a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was really nice, large and nicely tiled. There was not much space to move in the apartment, but we didn't stay much indoors. There was a table inside, in the kitchen, and one outside, on the patio, where we spent the evenings. All guests could use bicycles for free and there was a free laundry service, which we highly appreciated. The owner was kind, polite and discreet.

Stayed her for 2 nights during a cycling trip. The owners couldn't be nicer and more friendly. The rooms are equipped with kitchenettes to prepare your food if you choose, and the balcony looks out over a gorgeous vista of wonder. The location is a short walk (500 m) to the beach in one direction and a beach in the other. There are 24 hour shops to buy amenities and food, and the town is quaint and a great place to sit for a few days. There are lots of stores, markets, bakeries, and restaurants.

We stayed at Sarelas Sunrise Hotel for two nights and we wished we could have stayed longer. The family were very warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay special. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with fast WIFI throughout.

Hotel is located in the center of the village, in a quiet area only 100 meters to the beautiful beach of Petalidi. Rooms are spacious, 35m² each, equipped with air conditioning, hot water rainfall shower, 32-inch flat TV screen with international channels, refrigerator, furnished terrace or balcony, good quality mattress and reliable WiFi internet.
We stayed here for one night as we arrived in Kalamata late and wanted somewhere close to Polilymnio which we visited the next morning. Our room with balcony overlooking the village was well appointed, the furnishings and finishes were lovely, and it was thoughtfully outfitted with everything we could possibly need. Wonderful bathroom facilities, one of the best showers we had in Peloponnese. We also visited the beach and a tavern close by with tasty local food and views to the Messinian bay and Mt. Taygetos, as they're all walking distance from the hotel. What scored extra points though is the lady managing the hotel that is incredibly kind and generous, she gave us good tips on many places to visit and gave us a big bag of oranges for the road! :) All in all, a great location, great value for money and great staff. Highly recommended!
