Totally impressed with the impeccable service and wonderful friendly staffs like Tina from the kids club and Kaya from the activities team. Beautiful resort with the infinity pool completes with the magnificent scenery. Restaurant at the top and pool side served sumptuous meals and a bonus where they have complimentary hi tea from 230pm to 4pm with local snacks for in house guest! Spa experience was excellent with almost perfect massage and treatment together with a soothing and relaxing ambience. Thumbs up?

Alila Ubud hotel is a tranquil and secluded hillside retreat that sits high up on the edge of the rich green Ayung River valley in Bali's central foothills, in the traditional Balinese hill village of Payangan. The resort is located 15 minutes from Ubud, the island's cultural heart. Blending contemporary design and traditional Balinese architecture, the secluded courtyards, spacious terraces and private gardens of our charming Ubud boutique hotel create an intimate feeling like none other.
Booked through Luxury Escape. Took it as just another hotel to stay in. Well, The Alila I highly recommend. From the minute we arrived to the time we left we were pampered on. The staff were so obliging and went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. Food was delicious from breakfast to dinner. Massages were also enjoyable. Even on the way back to the airport, our driver received a call to say that the couple that we were traveling with had left their passports in their room - we were about 45 minutes from the hotel. Our driver said "no worry" we will wait where we were and they brought the passports to us. Which other hotel would have done this. I highly recommend The Alila.

The Ayung Resort is a breathtaking, mystique and unique lifestyle hotel, perched high up on the bank of a mostly untouched tropical mountain rainforest gorge, in the traditional Balinese village of Payangan Ubud, surrounded by the gentle, spiritual tranquility and pace of Balinese life. Along this serene 8 hectares rain forest domain runs The Ayung, Bali’s most sacred mountain river. In the rocks of the hotels pathways and along it’s 600 meters long riverbank fronting the Ayung Resort, 250 of the finest Balinese Stone Carvers have painstakingly worked, for over a 2 year period,to carve the spectacular Hindu mythologies, Ramayana and Mahabharata amongst others. These stone carvings have become the most sought after photo opportunity of the hotel.
We chose Ayung Resort because it looked like a beautiful Bali rainforest experience--and it most certainly was, from start to finish! We had arranged for Agyung's airport pickup, and that went smoothly. The friendly driver was willing to make stops along the way if we liked, but we opted to drive straight through (about 2.5 hours). The open-air lobby is a sight to see, covered in sculptures and statues. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and then learned we'd been upgraded--very nice! Our room details and hotel offerings were reviewed before the buggy (golf cart) took us to our room. And what a room! The large balcony, complete with table and chairs, overlooked the pool and the rainforest. Inside, there was a couch, chairs, dining table with chairs, a desk, and still plenty of room for luggage. There is a safe and an enormous bathroom with a separate tub. The free minibar is refilled once per day, and you can refill your water bottle at a separate location in the building. The wifi and A/C both worked well. Ayung's property is quite large and also hilly. Because of this, they have buggies (golf carts) that will take you wherever you need to go on the premises. All you have to do is call the front desk. This worked extremely well and we rarely waited more than a couple of minutes for the ride. Other offerings include a free shuttle to and from Ubud several times a day. We did take this in, but always took a cab back because we stayed later than the last shuttle (cab is about 150-200 IDR). There is free yoga each morning at 7:30 am, and a free afternoon tea at the restaurant. We really enjoyed the free rice paddy walking tour (not every day--check the schedule), even though the guide did not provide much information, just a route for us to follow him through the rice field. The infinity pool is lovely and very Instagram-worthy. The gift shop had an excellent collection of high-quality souvenirs. The dining at Ayung is fantastic. I can't say enough about the extensive and never-ending breakfast. You can order as much as you like from the menu, from fruit to pancakes to eggs to French toast. The location is serene and the view into the forest completely relaxing. We also had dinner there two nights, once with the special Indonesian multi-course set menu, and once a la carte. Both were delicious. All that said, and I still haven't gotten to the best part: the staff. Everyone at Ayung Resort went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We appreciated their assistance with arrangements for a car and driver to Denpasar on our last day. They made the trip memorable and we hope to return in the future. Thank you, Ayung Resort, for a fantastic Bali experience!

My wife had a great calming massage here. The restaurant and pool area was a great place to lounge around at , the calming views of rice terraces from the pool and room never got old. [11:02, 07/03/2022] Cook It: Covid hospitality issues Checked into Senetan resort very welcoming and good first impressions Getting into the villa the signs are all over that covid has taken its toll on the maintenance upkeep of the property Walls leaking in both bedrooms Television not working -channels advertised not available & the reception was grainy & lousy The furnitures looks like its 10 years old tired & with no maintenance The Air-conditioning wasn't working at all When we asked for some assistance with the aircon & tv the answer was sorry not able to fix I work in the hotel business & believe we did get a good deal initially upon booking however when you don't deliver what you advertise it upsets & disappoints the guests & when simple things are not working it compounds the disappointment Bali has to get on top of delivering what it promises l know covid has been hard on everyone because covid has impacted spending however if you are not going to deliver what you promise your business will fail Ive been to another few villas recently & the problems are the same no maintenance tired looking products & no maintenance done for the last two years as everyone has tightened spending Well when the guests come back l do hope some owners take pride in delivering & meeting guests expectations I would rate the Senetan resort 1 star based on the upkeep of the property !!

The Pramana Giri Kusuma located in Ubud, sits on the sacred Giri Kusuma River, a place connected to the very foundations of Balinese life and culture. Granted it’s legendary status by Sang Hyang Rsi Markandeya during his pilgrimage through Bali, the river and surrounding area now hold a special status amongst the Balinese as a place of positive and healing energy. The resort built on the sloping valley overlooking the river, has been designed to complement this natural relic and provide a place of comfort as you explore the secrets left behind. Guests have access to the river and the natural spring pool which offers a place of purification, drawing energy from Pradana which represents the female elements of nature. Spend life changing moments with loved ones in this spiritual haven and let the healing water cleanse your body and soul. As you spend time experiencing this natural museum our staff will be on hand to assist you every step of the way. Our genuine Balinese hospitality stems from the traditional philosophy Tri Hita Kirana; which encourages harmony and care between fellow human beings. The physical and emotional connections you make during your stay with us are guaranteed to stick with you long after you leave.
I've visit this gorgeus hotel with family and friends. Jungle and lush lanscaping, pure natural water at the canyon for yoga, meditation and healing. Dont miss Canyon tracking and try their whole coconut fruit while passing rice paddy and bamboo gate. Their staff are very helpfull and excelent hospitality. They had healthy Food and western food, taste good.

For us, Rijasa was perfect. The view is stunning & just what we hoped for, overlooking the jungle & river below, where we could watching the rafting throughout the day. The infinity pool was beautiful, the staff are the best, our room was lovely & balcony was great. The complimentary shuttle is available & we were even taken by shuttle to a recommended restaurant in Ubud at night. The girls in the restaurant couldn't be more helpful & friendly. The food was good but could be improved on with choice perhaps. Complimentary afternoon tea & ginger tea were a bonus. Definitely recommend if you'd like peace & quiet and don't mind being out of the hussle & bussle.

Situated in Payangan, Babakan Hidden Paradise features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. Free WiFi is provided. Elephant Safari Park is 5 km from Babakan Hidden Paradise. Ngurah Rai International Airport is 36 km away.
My wife and I stayed here in May 2018. Our room was at the top floor so we awoke each morning to the sun rising over Mt. Agung and the jungle and rice fields below. It was awe inspiring, to say the least. The staff was very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. If you are looking for something in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a large town, then this may not be the place for you. The location is a bit remote from a large town center, but that was the appeal to us. We enjoyed taking walks in the nearby village and interacting with the locals and the hosts arranged a beautiful hike through the rice paddies during sun rise. The hosts also several trusted drivers that they will arrange for you if you want to go on a tour or to Ubud for shopping or dinner. We used these services and went to the Elephant Safari, Water Temple, Ubud for dinner several nights. The prices for the drivers were cheaper than what you will find in the bigger towns. The hosts truly made us feel like part of the family. We traveled to other areas of Bali, but at the end re-arranged our trip so that we could spend a couple of more nights at Pondok Babakan at the end of our trip. Definitely come here if you want to experience the real Bali. The heart and soul of Bali is in the interior of the island.

Bersila is Eco boutique hotel located about 15 min from center of Ubud, in a small village where the real Bali's life is. Surrounded by tropical forest and rice fields, submerge you with the high spiritual energy. You will find a peaceful and quiet place with warm welcoming from our Bersila family. More than that it is a place for reconciliation, to open your natural joy, happiness and beauty.
Located on the side of rice paddies, with river flowing below. Either you are just chilling on the patio of your room or having breakfast, the green and lush view is really nice. Bed was so comfortable, so cold during the niight, no fan or aircon needed inside the bamboo room, big enough bathroom with dresser table. However, the no-roof shower only suitable during dry season. Staff rarely can be seen, so if you need one then you have to find them, and their friendly staffs will gladly help you.
