perfect base and excellent place to stay!
Reviewed By noRnoPI was impressed about everything in that "little" Pension. The welcome was excellent and the whole family/team was supporting you with whatever issues you came up with. No stress and easy going .. that's how to start vacation! thanks so much! ... however, Partenen is quite small, but if you're looking for a quite and well equipped place to start exploring the Montafon region that's for sure a perfect place to stay. Just 20m away is a little supermarket to get some stuff for the pretty good equipped basic kitchen. So, if you are looking for a nice and very clean apartment for your stay, book in here.

Reviewed By keith sAngela recently took over the daily running of this lovely hotel, from her mother, and made us feel SO welcome right away. This being the low season, we were the only guests for our 3 day stay. We were shown 2 rooms, take your pick! Help your selvs to beer or soda, just write it down. Heres where you turn on the sauna, if i'm not home. What wonderful service. Super breakfast, great pool, free parking on site, wifi, and a lovely view of the old church, with mountains and waterfall behind.Good value for money. We loved it. Thank you Angela!!

We’ve been coming here with family & a bunch of different friends for weekends & holidays for about 8 years - and this is one of the best examples of Austrian hospitality & incredible food we know. The owners, Chantal & Günter, really go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. The food is always creative & delicious, a great mix of traditional & innovative, with adjustments readily & happily made for gluten-free, vegetarians, picky eaters like one of our sons ... and even our dog ?. They also have a really nice selection of yummy Austrian wines. The location is super, just a few bus stops from the gondola. The rooms are cozy, some with shower, some bathtub, some with balcony. Absolutely delightful!!!

Good basecamp and great value for money
Reviewed By Martin MA nice 'gasthof' with room /apartment and small restaurant just a slight detour from the main road. Very good beds, in confortable rooms of decent standard. Very good breskfast, prepared with care. Can recommed and will come back if we go into the Montafon valley.

Beautiful Town to relax...
Reviewed By lulito_alpinoMy Wife and I were through the Alps with our motorcycle. I booked in this Hotel to could relax and sleep very close of the famous “Silvrettastrasse-Hochalpenstrasse” Mountain Pass. The Partenen Town where is located the Hotel is very beautiful and quite. Wonderful place to go and relax. But about the hotel, well we felt disappointed because the Restaurant was closed. (Monday’s Closed). The WIFI in the Hotel is very very very poor. But the staff was friendly.

A lovely stay!
Reviewed By NL-WanderlustWhen passing through, we stayed at Backstuba for the night and were not disappointed. The hotel and restaurant is run by a lovely and welcoming couple. We were delayed but were still able to enjoy dinner. We had a (master) bedroom, which also included a smaller bedroom for our teenagers. Clean rooms and a freshly renovated ensuite bedrooms, all very convenient. Breakfast was also a friendly and tasty affair. We enjoyed our short and brief stay, would love to return and have no hesitation in recommending Backstuba to anyone interested.

Reviewed By Gloria AFantastic hospitality. Great location for skiing, bus stop right outside the accommodation. Great breakfast choices. Infra-red hot box in the bathroom. Choices of Restaurants up and down the road. Beautiful scenery.
