It was an horrible experience to spend a night here on our Camino from Porto to Santiago. Welcoming guests doesn’t exist, maximum earning for minimum doing and offering is here the credo! Breakfast is just horrible. Actually best not to go there!

It's was good enough to sleep in, once you could find someone to open the front door (via barman next door). The room was really basic and old fashioned, BUT had a bath for soaking weary hiking body. Cobwebs on furniture and the balcony was dirty. At €50 it was a little expensive, no breakfast. It's not on Camino route but everything was booked up, we caught a taxi here and back in morning - we had a laugh though and the local people were super friendly.
Located in a small and quiet village of Paredes de Coura, Formariz, at Casa Boavista can be found individual chalets in a natural scenery. Each accommodation has a private entrance and includes a fully equipped kitchen. Some have a fireplace in the living room and a wood burning stove in the kitchen. Breakfast is served daily and is composed of regional products. Alternatively, there are few dining options within driving distance. The area invites to a walk in the nature. Casa Boavista is within 2 km from Taboão River beach, where the annual Paredes de Coura Festival is held. A bus stop can be found 300 m away, with regular links to Paredes de Coura, Vila Nova de Cerveira and Valença. Vigo International Airport is 44 km away.

Beautiful renovation of an older building. Strangely enough, the dinner is quite early for Portugal and we had to walk very fast on the Camino de Santiago to get there for dinner. It was not worth walking fast for ?. Breakfast was equally unexciting. Beds were good - two separate and solid. Good sleep. This place was booked by caminoways.com and we booked and paid for higher end accommodations.

I took my group of 16 people to stay here, and we all loved it. Gonzales and his mother Aida, and the other family members we met, were all super friendly, generous and helpful. We felt the genuine warmth of their hospitality which overcame language barriers wonderfully. Everything was perfectly clean and beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and we also got to enjoy the atmosphere of a real Portuguese family home, with lovely kids around too. Muito obrigada to Gonzales, Aida and family!

Recomendo.

We arrived after a very hot day on teh amino portugues and were soon relaxing in the wonderful pool. We loved the honesty fridge and the restaurant owner coming to pick us up for dinner was very helpful! The room was very comfortable and breakfast was plentiful

Me, my husband and our 3-month-old baby stayed in the Quinta de Casais for three days at the end of December. We couldn't be happier with our experience in this charming, unique, beautiful and cosy place. It has all luxuries of a boutique hotel. Travelling with a baby in (Portuguese) winter, it was especially important for us to stay at a place with heating (which is not a given in many houses here!) and where we can get dinner if we want to. The Quinta has floor heating (what a treat!) and a closed fireplace in the eating room. The breakfast buffet is varied, including fresh home-made cake, fruit, home-made yogurt, eggs and bacon upon request. Every afternoon we had tea and cake or sandwiches there and all our dinners were extremely tasty. What we loved most was the friendly and welcoming staff as well as the amazing Quinta building itself. A lot of natural light and materials, beautiful plants and unique furniture as well as the peacefulness of the forest that surrounds it is everything you need to truly relax (for example after a day of hiking in the nearby national park Geres or the protected landscape Bico). We will definitely come back, next time in summer to be able to swim in the outside pool that is part of the Quinta as well.

The place is nice with really nice ecological breakfast. But one thing disappointed me. Just opposite my room there is a building with abondoned 2nd floor. Some windows are broken but they are closed from inside with wooden blinds. Unfortunately one pigeon fell in between a broken window and these wooden blinds. I told a lady in Casa das Botica to call somebody and help the poor bird. But.... during the day it still was there. It is going to die because it cannot get out without people's help. So each day I have to look how it tries to get out... It is terrible.
