In need of remodeling and real maintenance
Reviewed By Lawrence DI always stay at ialodge while in Ormoc but it's time to find a new hotel. The rooms are very outdated. The wifi does not work. The aircon froze up 3 times over night. I removed the cover and found this. I had to turn it off for a hour, thaw out and restart three times. The prices are also getting high.

Adequate low cost stay
Reviewed By NigeClemThe more you pay, generally, the more you get. Our room was clean, quite roomy, the bed large and comfy, pillows too. The aircon was effective, though noisy and the tv had a reasonable selection of channels. Only cold water for showers. The staff were thoughtful. Toiletries were useful as were the large bottles of complementary water. Well positioned midway between both the New Terminal at Robindons and the port and with the SM mall just a 5 minute walk down the road. A good stay for up to a few nights imho. We will use it again.

Business Hotel
One of the best hotels in Ormoc City
Reviewed By Claire FPina Suites is one, if not the newest hotel in Ormoc City. Pros: Location - it is strategically located in the heart of Ormoc City. Just a few blocks away from the port, plaza and city proper where fast foods, banks, and business enterprises are located. Though I am not familiar with Ormoc City, I could easily get my way through the streets because Pina Suites is in the Google Map. Service - Their front desk in charge is accommodating, well organized and works fast. When we requested for additional rooms, they were easily able to provide it for us. Food - Since they do not have their own restaurant, food is served in Bo's Coffee at very affordable prices. Breakfast meals are at 170.00 with 4 choices of menu. Just be sure to give in advance your order so that when the coffee shops open at 630am, you can immediately ask for your orders. The coffee shop has a variety of hot drinks (tea and choco), coffees, and desserts (cakes and cookies). Rooms - the rooms are new, fresh, clean and elegant. It is spacious, cleaned daily with quality toiletries and slippers. The pillows are very soft and the towels provided are of the best quality too. There is a hot and cold shower. Same with the faucet provided. Internet - Fast internet is provided inside the room with around 3mbps and watching videos does not lag. Our room had a balcony overlooking the city. The balcony has a table and chairs and it is refreshing to have a morning coffee there ;) There is a grocery store on the ground floor. The hotel is next to the VS GrandTours terminal. Cons: Parking area - There is a limited parking area good for 5 - 6 vehicles/van only so be sure to park early or look for a nearby parking space. The hotel is next to a van terminal too. No elevator - Right now, the elevator is being constructed.

Reviewed By 209carlwThis hotel is directly beside a basketball court and just slightly ahead of where the very impoverished live, needless to say this is not for those expecting an excellent place to stay. it is a small room with twin beds and a smaller place to pee. Mosquitos will visit you and will not leave no matter what you try. There is no hot water unless you pay an extra $10 for the 3minute shower. The room doors open outward and don't quite fit the frame so the small insects can and do enter. There is no access to the beach and the swimming pool looked like a scientific research experiment. Although the staff was friendly and accommodating, I will never stay again

Reviewed By MVN15so many hair on the bed as if they didn't change the bed sheets. they didn't help us to carry our luggage from 4th floor to ground floor, there's no elevator so you have to carry it, my friend fell from the staircase from 2nd flr to ground floor, that's the only time they helped us to carry the luggage. my friend got a fracture on her foot. will never stay there again. i cannot access their internet, useless wifi

Sugarland Suites (is it the same as Pensione House Main? Same address...) Awful
Reviewed By 538jjSugarland suites has rooms ranging from terrible to not as terrible. They all small like cigarettes, the A/c doesnt work in all the rooms. There are large cracks in the walls. The bathrooms have no seperate shower but only one combined room. The bathrooms are mouldy and the showers barely work. You sometimes can only get a trickle of water. Sometimes it is only cold water. I stayed here and had booked on Expedia. They gave me the wrong class of room and argued with me. The forst room was tiny , Dirty and smelled like an ashtray. When I said I wanted non-smoking, I was handed a bottle of air freshener. I refused to take the key. They complained and put me in another room. The a/c didnt work. The woman at the desk told me it would eventually... I stayed one night in that room (crack in the wall that a pencil could stick in, wiring from the lights hanging out... cigarette stench was awful...). The next day they put me in their best room which was a little better but the bathroom was awful, almost no water and the room still smelled like Cigarette smoke. It was very very worn. The sheets werte sheets for a single bed but they put 2 of them on. They said they had Queen sized beds... nope - double beds. Awful place to stay. Search my other reviews... there is better in Ormoc.

Poor customer service
Reviewed By KWtravel111Went there 12noon to confirm booking. Front desk confirmed. Then adviced me that room is being cleaned and ready for our check in. Told me that check in time 2pm. Went out for lunch and came back around 245pm only to find out that room us not yet ready. We were check in at 315pm. Aircon is not working. They offered to tranfer a room but room has no tv. Tsk tsk
