A hotel sophisticated in traditional and modern Japanese style
Reviewed By nshneRoom deco created like wooden architecture reminded me traditional Japanese beauty which has not been found in Japan currently. Pictures in opening bet. “Sho-ji” felt “Wabi-sabi” we called. It’s typical Japanese beauty. On the other hand, Lobby was built by modern style. Blossom Hotel were characterized by both differences boldly. Also I impressed staff hospitality very much. “Onsen” located on a roof top level is great. But this is Oita Prefecture, it’s normal. Overall I highly recommend here. First is sophisticated deco, second is staff hospitality and last is easy access to Oita station.

Reviewed By time_forgottenClean, comfortable and spacious room as what Hotel Nikko provides everywhere. Warm service on Children’ Day with a little gift. Kids and family friendly. Good location. different parking areas provided but some of them are not accessible for 24 hours. One of them is a little far away from the hotel but accessible for 24 hours.

Comfortable but the usual tiny bathroom; which does not make sense, given the large size of the room. No in room safe. Windows could be opened for fresh air. Lots of eating options nearby in covered street malls, etc. Good value breakfast at only 1100 Y pp; but obviously focused on Japanese tastes and the precooked food is again not kept hygienically warm. But this unfortunately is the norm across most 3 - 4.5 star hotels here. One of the better hotel choices on our 4+ week, self drive, all of Japan road trip.

Good location with small room
Reviewed By chonaeStayed for one night. Good location. This hotel is 10 minutes walk to the train station which is a plus to me. Shops and a few restaurants are nearby. The rooms are small but clean. I just find the modular bathroom uncomfortable as I have to careful on the first step inside as it is not even with the main flooring of the room. They gave us complimentary onsen and bath oils which I appreciate. Otherwise, our stay was fine.

Old hotel, close to the trainstation, very helpful staff
Reviewed By Kristof VAs we were arriving late in the evening and would leave very early in the morning by train, we needed a place to sleep at an interesting price. Due to the proximity to the train station, maybe a 5 minute walk, we choose this hotel. At the time being, the fact that is is an old hotel, poorly renovated, did not bother us much. We just wanted to sleep. Unfortunately during that night a big earthquake woke us and we were unable to find any sleep afterwards. During that moments of despair the hotel staff was very helpful and thanks to them we were able to find a solution to continue our travel.

Superb service from staffs
Reviewed By jacqwongWanted to stay 1 night in Beppu but the price was triple on a Saturday compared to other days. Decided to move to Oita instead. Found Areaone to be able to accommodate 3 pax in a room. The hotel is a typical japanese business hotel. Room is clean and average in size. 10 mins walk to JR station shopping. The staffs goes out the way to help. When the hotel carpark was full, one of the lady who spoke english directed us where to park. As we do not know how to operate the parking machine, she followed us to the car park lot and showed us. The next day, as we checked out, I asked an elderly gentleman to help us make reservation at the strawberry farm. He called but there were no response. He promised to call again before his shift is over (he mentioned that no one else can speak english on the day shift) True enough he managed to make reservation and contacted us through phone ( international call) to inform us. Thank you to all the staffs for the help. Keep up the good service.

Reviewed By 963hirosThis hotel is one of the Toyoko inn hotel chains and the room style is the same as that in other Toyoko inn hotel. The price is reasonable and this hotel is located at the good place for the access to JR station or shopping street. The parking fee is low, 500 yen per one night. Breakfast was good and enough for me. I enjoyed Dangojiru (a kind of miso soup), which is famous and original soup in Oita. Totally I recommend this hotel for business or tour people.

Reviewed By Claudia CHotel is really cost effective with breakfast. Even it's kinda small as you can imagine, cuz most hotels in jp are small for the European and us people. The staffs here are super friendly, although we are not able to communicate in English, but they still do their best to understand and help you. They provide the luggage delivery service to airport with extra charge. The location is very nearby the oita station, and there are two convenient stores around about 5 mins walk. Highly recommend to stay.
