We finished our hike on the Fishermen's Trail here, in this fun village. Sol Mar was in a great location with a nice pastoral view (the farmer was bringing in the hay crop). There was a folk festival going on, but our hotel was quiet. Hostess very sweet and kind! Good laundry lines. Comfortable (twin) beds, nice shower. Perfectly adequate breakfast. No complaints.

The Casas do Moinho is actually made up of houses along a street in the village. The rooms are very modern with all of the amenities. We were on a walking tour and were quite tired when we arrived. The staff checked us in quickly and we were so happy to be in such a nice place. The view from the windmill (moinho) nearby was stunning. What a lovely village.

We also have a bike rental service, if you'd like to enjoy a ride along the vicentina coast.
I stayed at Casa Vicentina with my wife for 2 nights while walking a section of the Rota Vicentina in May 2022. We had a twin bedded room. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable with high quality bedlinen. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were made welcome on arrival and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. A beautiful breakfast with plenty of choice of bakery and dairy products, with fresh fruit, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Dinner was freshly cooked and tasty, but this is only provided at certain times of the year to cater for walkers. The swimming pool was clean and set adjacent to a beautiful pond with frogs that croaked in the evening. Abundant birdlife in the garden included hoopoes. The whole place had a very relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here when walking the Rota Vicentina.

This is a relatively small hotel with all the necessary facilities. However, the owner is quite hospitable and the breakfast prompt and fresh. I would not be my first choice, but having stayed there, I can recommend it.

There was a collection of hairs from previous guests all over the bathroom. The whole place is outright filthy. We skipped breakfast, the plates were dirty, the cover on the juice glas was full of mould. Health inspectors would probably shut the place down. Worst accommodation on our tour!

We have been traveling in Portugal and we have been to many different places. This is the worst you can get for a very high price, 120 euros a night. The shower was broken and dirt (in Corona times). There was no AC and was very small. The staff was just average.

We stayed here for 9 nights in the top floor little apartment. 3 friends, two shared the double bed in the bedroom, and I slept on the sofa bed in the lounge/diner area. On the top floor you have your own shower and toilet room and access just across the way to the gorgeous rooftop terrace, which has lovely views of the village and surrounding hills and such a pleasant place to sit for brunch or diner in an evening or just to relax during the day. Nadine who runs the hostel is really kind and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble, very ready to offer practical advice or information. The kitchen in our little apartment and the one downstairs were both fully equipped with everything you could need including free tea and great Portuguese coffee. Nadine often put watermelons out for people to help themselves to as well. Odeceixe itself is a beautiful place too. What’s not to like?

The place is located a short drive inland from the beach, in the outskirts of the village. Very close to the main road. We had pre-booked, but when we arrived the place was locked up and closed. The phone numbers given on the website did not work. After nearly an hour the staff arrived, saying she had waited until 5 PM, even though no last arrival time was given to us. The apartments are large, but old. The kitchens are scarcely equipped if you plan cooking, and not enough plates, cups and cutlery. Old fridges. Nearly any electrical sockets. Cheap plastic furniture outside. The best thing is the canal that runs alongside the building, but that does not make it worth a stay.

Booked though an service if not I would have refused the room. There for two nights. The bathroom had no place to put a towel so you had to leave it on the toilet and reach accross the bidet. Mildew growing on the ceiling and shower. Flakes of paint on the floor there when I arrived and still there after the room was "cleaned". Side tables were dusty. Cobwebs hanging. A dusty chandelier with half the bulbs out. Small lumpy pillows thead bare towels. Breakfast next door included the cheapest looking ham and strangely strawberry juice. I passed on the ham. Everything was set out before I arrived to eat. All flash for the website photos. The place would be better off just investing in bleach than monogram sheets.

We agreed check in time at 8pm, when we arrived , no one was there, we had to come back home because they did not even answer the phones . Reception was closed, we knew check in was until 7pm But called in advance and the owner said there would be no problem at all if we arrived at 8pm. Couldn’t even get a full refund , event though booking helped us as much as they could.
