Reviewed By wqa12My family wanted to try the ski slopes in East Tyrol, so this fine Saturday morning I got stuck in the village of Obertilliach. Of course everything was shut. The only cafe in the village had shut at midday and would not open till Monday. The shops were shut as well, so I ended up at Andreas B&B. BAD CHOICE! As soon as I got in I was greeted by a cloud of tobacco smoke (though it is illegal to smoke in restaurants). I was seated by a young lady that could barely speak German, or English, or French, or Italian. She of course had no clue of what the dishes on the menu were (i.e. I asked for meat dumplings and got potato dumplings, though I was specific about wanting meat). The food was ok for the place, but unless you want a schnitzel steer well away. Shame for the great view! My family had a similar experience on the slopes, the medium difficulty pistes were very narrow, with very sharp turns and loads of locals showing off to the lowly tourists. DANGEROUS!!! The blue slopes were full of children and beginners, and the young man manning lift E was paying more attention to a young lady he was chatting up (he actually took her inside the adjoining hut), abandoned his position for almost 30mins leaving parents and children to cope for themselves!!!! If you ever get to Obertilliach drive right through, as quickly as you can! On a positive note, the Tourist Information Office was very good; Very well informed and willing to pass on helpful information, great attitude towards tourists. The Sports goods and ski rental store (AUER) is well worth a stop for equipment essentials. Such a shame!

Reviewed By Fredrik AWe - husband and wife we two kids - stayed one night at Weberhaus. The owner stayed up longer to welcome us and was very freindly. The appartments were spacious and clean. We had two bedrooms with twin beds. Both had a separate shower. The appartment had one toilet. We can recommend staying at Weberhaus - nice, clean and excellent service.

Reviewed By JbsdelrioBest hotel ever in a great place for a family ski-week/holiday. Absolutely child/family friendly run for a very kind local family and local staff. Great food, too much fancy dinners for my taste. The only thing to improve would be to offer more entertainment for kids in english/foreign languages (italian, spanish, french, etc.), and to improve level of english of staff.

Reviewed By mr232My Family and I stayed for New Year and have enjoyed great skiing, delicious food and a warm welcome from Magdalena and her Team. We can't wait to return in the summer for mountain biking and next winter for skiing. If you are wanting peace and quiet you will love the village, if you are wanting night life and fancy restaurants this is not for you.

The spa facilities are wonderful, absolutely nothing I can fault! Last year was a fantastic experience so I decided to return this year. The staff are very friendly and go the extra mile to accommodate. I will definitely be returning again & again! Ideal for solo Travellers friends or families! :-)

Perfect chance to spend your holidays in a historic building
Reviewed By jogschaThis old farmer´s house is right in the center of Obertilliach. The rooms are clean and nice, the owner´s are very nice. So you feel at home as soon as you enter the building. The breakfast is served in the old "Stubn" and is delicious. We would love to come back.

Reviewed By Dave SOne word - perfection - sums up staying here. Judith and Martin were the perfect hosts and the whole building is beautifully kept. Nothing was too much trouble, from putting on the sauna to letting us have some milk from the cows in the adjacent building - oh, and those cakes, thank you Judith! Everything you need for a wintersports trip is here from the sauna to boot warmers, drying facility and a ski room. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the nordic trails, Alpine lifts and small supermarkets. We stayed in the ground floor apartment and it had everything we needed including a washing machine - very handy for our 3 week stay. I could use many words to describe our stay but I think "perfect" says it all. Very sad to leave.

OTTIMO SOGGIORNO A OBERTILLIACH
Reviewed By Gianluca BAbbiamo soggiornato a inizio agosto, si tratta di un vecchio maso ma ristrutturato, la camera è semplice, ma grande, con un terrazzo fiorito e ben tenuta, il bagno è con la doccia. Si trova nel centro del paese vicino a negozi e ristoranti, oltre che ad una delle fontane del paese da cui prendere acqua purissima e freschissima. Colazione buona con anche salumi e formaggi, oltre che pane fresco, marmellata, miele, yogurth e dolci vari. La sig.ra Elisabeth è molto ospitale, e parla italiano. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.
