No question the top hotel in Nuuk. The service was fantastic. The hotel staff was very cordial. I had to print some documents and the front desk staff were very helpful. Fabulous buffet breakfast each morning. We also met each evening in the lounge for after dinner drinks. We dined at the hotel restaurant (Hereford Beefstou) which has the most wonderful grilled meats. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

A short distance out of the centre, but Nuuk isn’t big so it doesn’t matter. Mickey couldn’t do enough and he deserves special mention for making my stay great. The kitchen does do food, but closes weirdly early in the evenings. This is a not for profit hotel that helps the homeless in Nuuk, and that’s a good thing. You really don’t want to be homeless during winter here !

Sentralt beliggende hotell i Nuuk som er et meget godt alternativ for noen dagers overnatting i Nuuk. Flotte rom og trivelig, serviceinnstilt betjening. Litt enkel, men god frokost. Hotellet ligger veldig godt egnet for utforsking av byen og de sentrale severdighetene. Greie priser!

We chose to stay here bc of the location, and we chose absolutely right! It is very beautiful and tranquil, smack in the middle of raw nature. Also a good place for fishing from the cliffs. You see the icebergs floating close by, you have an amazing view to the iconic Sermitsiaq mountain, the sunrises and sunsets were beautiful, the starry sky incredible, and the Northern lights were absolutely gorgeous! We were lucky to have the yellow cabin by ourselves (room for 8 people in total), which we enjoyed very much. But remember, it is a hostel, so the possibility of sharing the living room/kitchen, the bathroom and the toilet with strangers is real. Btw the shower's water pressure was excellent (I have very long hair), and plenty of warm water. I shared a room with my teenage son, and the beds were very comfy and the room was warm with a beautiful view of the fiord and icebergs. There is no space for open suitcases when you lay in bed. The owners provide a towel and bedlinen. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The hostel offers different experiences, and we highly recommend trying their "Greenland Tasting and Storytelling"! It is arranged for min. 6 people, but the owner was so nice to carry it through just with my son and I even though the other four people did not show up. No need to say we got very full :-) We tasted seal, dried amasat, dried cod, whale, mattak (whale fat), seal fat, raw hallibut, fish soup, and traditional Greenlandic cake and tea. It was a great experience, and our host the owner Malu was exceptional kind and shared stories from her own life and upbringing, the story of Inuk (meaning human) hostel and Greenland's history. Thank you for that. She also told us about the Greenlandic Isaksen Design, so I bought a pair of beautiful earrings on the plane home. On another night we had a nice dinner in their cafe. They only use local food and ingredients, which we appreciate. And they have good cakes. Inuk hostel is close to Nuuk center where to you can walk in 20 min. or drive to in 5 min. We had rented a car, and were very happy about it. It is also possible to walk down to the bus.

Fabulous stay in Nuuk. I really enjoyed being at this self-contained, self-catering boutique hotel. So clean and spacious, i had a cheerful, cosy upstairs bedroom, comfortable bed and pillows, ample wardrobe space, desk and TV and a fantastic view out to sea. A shared bathroom between 4 rooms upstairs but spotlessly clean and serviced to a high standard daily, plenty of clean towels and the bonus of a washer and drier to use, they even supply the washing powder! There is also a toilet in the hallway downstairs. Really comfy, modern, spacious shared lounge/dinning area and a wonderful kitchen, so well equipped with pots, pans, kitchen gadgets, crockery, glassware etc. Dishwasher, fridge/freezer, a joy to cook there, a real home from home. The location is excellent just a 15 min easy walk into town where there are restaurants and several supermarkets and a 15min walk to the Harbour, again 2 supermarkets on route. So plenty of options to gather provisions for self-catering. The owner Maali is just lovely and came to introduce herself as did the ever efficient, excellent, really nice caretaker guy, the wonderful Nuka. He visited everyday and is a delight to chat with. He even found, by chance, on the street my black ear-muffs i had lost a few days previously and brought them to me at the airport when i was leaving! So nice, so kind, miss you already Nuka. Eagle's view is a fantastic place to stay, i highly recommend it and will most definitely stay here again next time i visit Nuuk.

Was traveling to Nuuk on business and the big hotel in the center of the town was taken. Vandrehuset 1-3 was available, so my colleague and I stayed here. yes we had to share a bathroom, but it was not a bad place to stay. Comfy bed and the TV actually got better TV channels than the hotel. The location has a full kitchen if you want to cook (and not a small kitchen either -- three or four people can cook at the same time in there -- and because it is Nuuk, you can walk everywhere. One thing is that you never see a person -- you are given a code to unlock your key. If you have paid in advance, no one ever sees you. But if you are a needy type, this may be a negative, I guess. I would feel comfortable spending time here with my family -- a good location for sure if you are on a budget. Some other info: Check in is after 1PM, Check out no later than 10AM There are taxis outside the Nuuk Airport: the price is around DKK 140,- to the hostel. The trip takes about 15 minutes. The taxis accept credit cards. We were able to see the Northern lights from the sizable balcony when we were there.

I never attempted to walk anywhere from here but I had no issues getting taxis. The room was very clean and you can get the info for the lockbox via text. It is super streamlined. It is not far from the airport, which is why I chose it, and not too far from town via taxi. The wifi is strong and the TVs are large. The room was a good size for a solo traveler but there are much larger rooms available. I stayed here twice when I was traveling to Kulusuk. The reason they don't get 100% from me because I was a little scared of the bathroom. I don't like shared bathrooms but the shower seemed a little shady to me. I would not have had any issues if I had flip flops as shower shoes. This placed was super clean otherwise and I'll stay again if I'm solo.

God værdi for pengene.
