Reviewed By Anna_BK06We had a great time at Olas Verdes! My mom and me stayed 1 week in the beautiful suite. The hotel is very close to the beach, a great option for surfers, and directly in the nature. We could see black monkeys on the trees directly from the window. I also have seen big and small lizards many times. Our visit was in the rain season, so everything was very green and fresh. Olas Verdes is a ecological hotel, they produce there own electricity, save water and care about the environment. Guests even get re-fillable water bottles with the hotel-design to take home, so as to reduce the plastic waste! There are bicycles at the hotel free of charge for guests to use, which is very convenient and nice, if you want to visit Nosara town or take a ride in the area. Also, something I see rarely any hotel do, every day guests have the possibility to get there clothes cleaned in the laundry and receive the cleaned and dried clothing in the room. Every thing is thought of! We also enjoyed the swimming pool, its nice to cool down after a warm day. The food was delicious, I think we tried nearly everything on the breakfast card! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well as non-vegetarian. The food is served in the restaurant on the hotel territory. The staff is very friendly and fun. Reviewed By breathe000relaxWow. What an incredible experience. We were greeted with drinks and an appetizer which was very welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous and clean with comfortable beds. The staff are very attentive. The concierges are *fantastic.* They can book you anything you need from a tuk tuk to an excursion. We ate at the onsite restaurant many times and it was honestly the best restaurant in Nosara. The view is breathtaking. People spend $70 on taxis to Coyol for the view but TM is better! The complimentary access to the Gilded Iguana with umbrella, chairs, towels was nice and gave us the benefit of the beach while being able to stay in a more secluded location. Also there's DOGS! They're very well behaved and don't bark or jump. They're initially respectfully distant, but when solicited graciously accept pets and belly rubs. If it's within your budget, you're crazy to stay anywhere else.

Perfect vacation at Lagarta Lodge

The rooms were spacious with gorgeous views of the beach from the balconies, the spacious layout of the resort with lush foliage was very inviting, the four infinity pools, one of which had a swim up bar, were beautiful, the complimentary breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, and the bilingual staff, top notch. Everyone in the dining room, at the front desk and on the kayak outing was friendly, more than helpful with information about the area, boogie board loans, calls for tuk tuks, and dinner reservations. We felt so welcome and at home, and very taken care of. It was also close enough to the beaches to walk to several of them for swimming and boogie boarding.

The pool was packed with American children, which we don’t mind, just something to note. Out room was very cool and comfortable, and we loved the open layout of the large tile shower with the window looking out in to the jungle. I would recommend staying on an upper floor if possible, for this elevated jungle view. The restaurant was my favorite at any location in all of Nosara (and we stayed at 3 locations and explores many restaurants)—cocktails delicious, breakfast expansive and the dinner menu exceptional. They also offer surf lessons and have surf camp down the road, which we also participated in for one afternoon. If you are looking for a safe, chic, and quality boutique hotel the Gilded Iguana Surf Hotel is for you!

Reviewed By Robin FThis is our 4th trip to Nosara Fishing, love planning this trip because I know everyone will be happy with the accommodations and catch fish !! 4 couples stayed in El Capitan, clean, kitchen has everything you need to cook, great location to the town. Walkable to area, we rented golfcarts to explore and go to different beaches. Planning this trip is easy, communication via email excellent, Craig or Maddie can and will answer any and all questions in a timely manner. Once there any questions or issues are handled by the great staff in the office. They can also arrange tours or activities, Miss Sky zip line is always a hit. Maria's breakfast is a welcomed and needed start to the day, good food and wonderful coffee. Fished with Captain William for 4 days, caught sails, a marlin, tuna and more, we have never been disappointed fishing with them !! Marlin Bill's will cook your fish, fish fingers are the best. The pool is a pleasant gathering place in the afternoon, and peaceful during the day. Playing cards and games on the porch is the perfect end to the day. Howler monkeys all day. For non-fishing people, the beach is nice, lunch at Rosi's, drinks and lunch at Beach Dog Cafe, market I think is Tues morning, a massage at Tica's, walk through the shops, just explore. If you want to catch fish and just get away you can't go wrong doing it with Fishing Nosara. This is one trip I can take and know once I've made my reservations and purchased my airline ticket I'm good. As a side note this last trip was planned for 2021 and had to be delayed for Covid, they were easy to change my reservations for 2022. After writing this will be planning a family trip for 2023 !!

Reviewed By christyd780Do not stay here if you have a real job and need to get work done. You’re stuck either hearing loud music till 10/11pm at night from your room or a super noisy / busy road. The road was so bad during the day that I couldn’t hear what people were saying on work calls, even with noise cancelling headphones in. Rooms are beautifully furnished and the bed was super comfy. The desk in my private suite was a bit high, same in co-working space. I’m average height at 5”6 so not the best ergonomics. The co-working space is a joke. First you have to pay for it, and second the “phone booths” are not sound proof so you hear every word crystal clear of someone else’s calls. The landscaping and grounds itself are beautiful. If you’re here to party and vacation then this is the place for you. Beware, it’s not walkable to anything so once you’re up there your stuck up there unless you have your own transport or want to take tuk tuks everywhere. Wouldn’t advise families or small kids to stay here, the parents complained a lot about the music.
