We went to the Tzoumerka mountains for some trekking and to check up on some old friends. Xenion is peaceful, the staff is very polite and did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room overlooked the Strongoula peak as well as the pool. Overall, we had a great stay but there were a few issues. Firstly, the kitchenette does not work. Secondly, the previous guests of our room had apparently heated milk in the kettle and the cleaners didn't take notice so it wasn't cleaned. As a result, there was a sour smell which took me a while to trace to the kettle. Lastly, the curtains didn't do a good job to block out the sunlight so we woke up every morning at sunrise.

A beautiful stoned built hotel family owned and operated. Spacious rooms with amenities, comfort and beautiful decoration. Great cuisine cooked by vasso , breakfast with local products all catered by vasso and Harris the owners. The hotel is highly recommended and we will definitely visit again as the area has so much to offer!

The traditional guesthouse "Stavraetos" is located in mesochori (the middle of the village) next to the found "Gura" and just above the central square with its perennial plane trees. It is about a stone mansion of two floors that belongs to Vaitsi's family, who renovated it and converted it into a guesthouse. The hotel was rated by G.N.T.O. (National Tourism Organization) as a traditional first class hotel and operates from September 2011. At the ground floor it operates also the traditional tavern "Stavraetos". The main goal of Vaitsi's family was the combination of the traditional Syrrako specifications with the comfort and the luxury of a modern lodge. The wooden ceilings, the handmade brass fixtures, the fantastic views to Tzoumerka, match harmoniously with the superb quality of carved furniture and vivid colors on the premises. The presence of the owners, the very elegant room, family atmosphere and the warmth, give visitors the feeling of a place can not be considered as a hotel, but more as a home that will make your stay in Syrrako unforgettable.
Excellent service and breakfast! Very nice and helpful owners! I had my birthday and they found a way to bring me a cake even though I informed them late and there is no cake shop in the village during winter! The view from the room just above the tavern is superb and breathtaking! The room itself is spacious and warm- sometimes hot - but you can always open the windows!! The village itself is beautiful but unfortunately with not more than 5 people living there permanently nowadays! We will be back!!!

Casa Calda, Sirakon - hotel Photo Casa Calda, Sirakon - hotel Photo Situated on Mount Lakmo, amongst the stone paved streets and old churches of Sirako village, traditionally built Casa Calda offers accommodation with views of Tzoumerka Mountains. Stay here if you enjoy a quiet mountain setting and a great family-run hotel. The hotel is well kept and decorated nicely in a Greek traditional style. The setting is magnificent and the terrace in front of the hotel is perfect for breakfast, drinks and just enjoying the silence. Vassilis and his family are excellent hosts.

It is a traditional guest house, in Pramanta, a lively village and the “center” of the fascinating North Tzoumerka region. Although Pramanta is not as charming as some of its neighbours, it is, possibly, the best choice to stay, to explore the region. The guest house is in the middle of the village, tucked onto a slop, above the bustling main square. To reach it by car, you should take a rather long detour, through a forest road, that takes you to the back side parking, or just park at the square and take the steep pathway up (just 100 meters long, but rather challenging for some people, I reckon). The building is old but renovated traditionally, featuring comfortable spacious rooms, with great beds and nice linen -although kind of urban styled, for my taste. The bathroom could be fantastic, if not occupied by an enormous, leaking, jacuzzi bathtub. The breakfast was served in a makeshift construction in the patio and was rather disappointing, despite the efforts. To start with, on the first day, the filter coffee machine was out, and on the second, it still malfunctioned; thus, the only options were instant or Greek coffee. And the question remains: why the espresso is still considered, in some venues, a “luxury”, when it, perhaps, is the safest and easiest choice? Other than that, apart from some local specialties, the buffet was far from hearty -very few choices, scarcely replenished, and poorly presented. Overall, the results did not reflect the good intentions. The potential is there; the family that runs it, as a side business, would just need some professional assistance.

Everything was great, the place was extremely quiet and very close to Ktistades, Agnanda and Pramada villages. The igloos were very original, comfortable and had all the necessities one can expect. The kitchen had all the ingredients for a full breakfast. Nikos and Vasso the owners were very polite and helpful in everything we needed. We will surely try to visit them again.”
