We strongly recommend Akane-yado Country Inn because the owner, Mr Joe-san is a very kind soul. The sunset and starry night views from the patio were fantasic and both the dinner and breakfast cooked by Mr and his wife, were very delicious and nice. The hightlight of our stay was the episode of a good nature and kind soul of Mr Joe-san had protray, and he had become our Saviour and Hero.My husband, not knowingly had dropped his passport at Naka Furano Station while waiting for pick up by Joe-san to his country inn. We stayed on 19th June 2011 for 1 night which was the 3rd Day of our 14 Days Free & Easy Trip in Japan. The next morning on checked out, Mr Joe-san sent us out to Farm Tomita. In the farm, my husband realised that he had lost his passport with the 14 Days JR Pass in it. We called Mr. Joe-san and he came to the Tomita farm in within 10 mins and drove us to Naka Furano Station to search for the passport but to no avail. He then drove us to the police station and became our interpretator to communicate with the police. The police found the passport with the JR Pass still in tact. We were very grateful to Mr Joe-san and we are still grateful to him. He had taken an extra mile in his service to extend his valuable help to us when we were so lost then, and he had saved our Japan holidays as we still had 11 days to travel. Without his help to find the passport, our holidays would be ruin and cut short. We sincerely expressed our heartfelt gratitude and wish to say: "Thank You Very Much, Mr Joe-san" Everything is beautiful when there are such nice people around us!
