A secret Baltic hideaway, Pädaste Manor is a refreshing island escape in a picturesque manor overlooking breathtaking coastline - a fantastic place to try the Nordic Islands' cuisine, indulge in pampering spa treatments and explore a totally unspoiled island. Pädaste Manor is the epitome of simple luxury - elegant, romantic and supremely comfortable. Above all there is the ambiance, the charm and the service expertise that can only be found in a privately owned hotel.
Padaste is really a special place and definitely worth making a trip to. We had been there before in the summer and early spring, but we really enjoyed our recent autumn long-weekend at the manor. It was the perfect time of year for long walks and bike rides during the day and then heading to the SPA or relaxing in our cozy room with a fireplace. We stayed three nights, but wished we had one more. Padaste really is one of best places in the world to unwind. The place exudes charm and calm. The surrounding area and Muhu is easily explored by foot, bike and car- the front desk was very helpful in this regard. Taking a few hours to drive to and explore Kuressaare is also well worth it if you are at Padaste for more than one night. The town is charming and the ancient fortress impressive. We stayed in a superior Junior Suite in the main manor house. The room is large, but very cozy with its fireplace. The elegant, yet rustic design is lovely and the room is immaculately maintained. We simply loved it. The elegant breakfast in restaurant Alexander was certainly one of the highlights of each day. The setting, food and service were perfect. We also dined at Alexander in the evenings, which is an amazing experience. We will certainly be back again!

Estonia's first wine tourism – Luscher & Matiesen Muhu Farm Winery. Muhu Farm Winery carries in it the story of Estonian wine and the legend of more than 100 years about one of the biggest wineries in Estonia where the total production in the middle of the 1930s reached a staggering 400,000 liters. We offer great food, wine and accommodation experience on a small and magical Muhu Island.
I had warned of our arrival at 7p.m. There, we were told that we must go to the table « immediately » because it is dinner time (no one had warned us before.. ok). We're just being asked if we want "the full dinner". No Menu. No price… The total vagueness. The other tables are entitled to wine, but no one comes to offer it to ours… only water for us… More and more strange. A starter arrives, a kind of rather successful fish tartare but, without menu, difficult to identify ... Then, the boss comes to address the other tables in Estonian and everyone gets up and goes after him. (Sorry we don’t speak Estonian. Anytime he didn’t speak to us). Yet he didn't even turn his head towards us to deign to give us an explanation in English. We remain alone in the dining room, for… 30 minutes. Finally, we decide to return to our room. 30 minutes later, the boss knocks on our door, speak to us for the first time and says "we misunderstood each other" ... Certainly. For us this evening is a failure. Good night.

Tihuse Riding Tourism Farm is located in Hellamaa Village on Muhu Island. In addition to accommodation and horseback riding, the farm also offers many other exciting activities from a ride round Muhumaa in a horse-drawn carriage to a night by the bonfire and sauna. There are ten different riding routes, a study route where you can learn about ancient culture and the old traditions of Estonia.
We came to the farm for a long horse ride in the nature and could not have chosen better! The horses were absolutely adorable, and the route scenic and varied enough to make the ride engaging throughout the four-hour trip. We were led by Siina (not sure if I got this right) who was super pro and friendly. We are experienced riders and have been to many horse riding excursions. This was absolutely one of the very best! We traveled with our dog and were assigned a room in the barn. It was clean but....well...basic. Even if you are ok with a bathroom across the yard, the dark, stuffy and tiny space can feel a bit much. Our vegan diet was well accommodated, but the food seemed slightly overpriced. Overall, this is a wonderful place for horse-lovers and we would love to come back. However, unless they change their dog-policy and offer a room in the main building, we would probably choose to stay somewhere else.

The Muhu Tõnise Talu is a farmhouse located in the historical village of Paenase on the beautiful Muhu island. Tõnise Talu is a more than a 200-year-old dignified farmstead, with its own soul and story. Tõnise Talu is a home for the host family and a lovely place to visit for the guests - a wonderful spot for a wonderful vacation. The authentic Muhu outer buildings and the former horse farm with their thatched roofs are awaiting You as their guest. With 13 rooms and beds for up to 30 people, two cozy wood-fired saunas, a farmhouse with a large dining hall, a beautiful yard, an area for barbequing, an outdoor terrace, 15 sheep, and plenty more make it a great place for a nice and relaxing stay. Come and rest in the authentic Muhu barn houses or enjoy the peace and silence in our cozy rooms of the main house. Our guestrooms welcome you with their warmth and authenticity. A great opportunity to sleep in a 100-year-old barnhouse, feel the presence of history, and sleep like never before. Muhu Tõnise Guesthouse has a new host family since 2021. New and improved Tõnise is waiting for You!
If you need real piece, far away from city trouble: here is your escape, an island. And there you will not find just a guesthouse, but a place where your soul can rest and your heart will blossom again. If you are not quite as poetic as I might be, that is what you will find: a mix of English cottage garden and authentic Muhumaa architecture with a personal touch from Soile, the hostess. Tomatoes, cucumbers, wild garlic and a variety of herbs are grown to be part of your breakfast. Various fish comes from a local fish shop, and is delicious as you might expect, as well as the famous Muhu dark bread which you must taste even if you normally adore croissants. Better try to book for several nights as it will be painful to leave, and to start "normal" life again.

Peaceful place close to Liiva village (nearest shops and restaurants). Great bed and pillows in granary. Breakfast is 9€ extra, but it's really worth it. Room next to the shared bathroom and sauna was not clean, a cup with coffee and bottle of alcohol was left behind. Shared bathroom has 3 showers together next to sauna, no privacy unless you lock the door behind avoiding others to use showers and sauna.

Nice and easy lodgings when arriving or leaving the beautiful island of Muhu. Small cabins for 2 - 4 persons, good prices and really friendly landlady, the kind you would like to be your mother. Hearty breakfast that will take you all the way to Tallinn.

The building looks great from the outside, but inside everything's a bit shoddily put together - doors don't shut, bathroom floods, there's nowhere to put anything. In our attic bedroom there was room for the bed and not much else and it wasn't clean. But more than anything else, the cosy kitchen cannot possibly support the number of people entitled to share it. Inevitably, the family who had the two rooms which came off it took possession and my party were just about able to squeeze past and grab food to take outside and eat with all our outdoor clothing on. Luckily we were eating dinner out - I have no idea how three or four separate parties could possibly manage.
