We are conveniently located off i-30 exit 162 or off business 271. We have newly remodeled rooms. We are located 2 blocks from the hospital. Our rooms come with refrigerator, microwave, flat screen TV's, and coffee machine. Pets are welcome(pet fee). We offer a superstart breakfast. We also have free WiFi, photo copying, and fax machine for all our guest.

Tv left on channel with no sound? Call ahead apparently to find what is actually at your hotel. Desk was surprised my room had no microwave or fridge. Had bought lb of brisket knowing there would be fridge. Never has this bad motel8 before. Covid or not? Mask mandate over but I selected this hotel because of breakfast. Confirmation should say to call individual site to get real deal.

Reviewed By 907JohnD9072nd floor room (I am 80) Rug was filthy. Trash in parking lot and bins full. TV did not work (would not turn off). Had to unplug alarm clock (It went off every hour) This motel is beyond repair and should be demolished

Newer Hotel but needs enhanced cleaning

One of the cons I noticed was the lack of cleanliness but unfortunately this is an opportunity for all the hotels in the Mt. Pleasant area. The general lobby area was updated and has nice tile floors but they are noticeably dirty throughout the common area and especially elevator. The same applies to our hotel room. Our sheets were stained/dirty when we pulled the covers back. It appeared to be some type of bodily fluid. It was on the fitted sheet and mattress cover, so I’m. It sure how this was missed if the sheets were changed. The young lady at the front desk (AA women with glasses) was helpful and provides us with a news sheets, comforter and mattress pad. The vent hood in our bathroom was halfway attached and will fall from the ceiling if not fixed soon. Overall it’s a better hotel given the options in the area. However given guest are cautious about COVID it would help that more attention to cleanliness was implemented.

Reviewed By janm175I only chose this Days Inn because I had been on the road all day and my final stop was still another 8 hours away. I'm not a hotel snob, but I also know that Days Inn used to be an okay place to stay. Not so much anymore, locations can be hit or miss, more misses nowadays. The parking lot was a little dark, and the adjacent bar seemed like it was busy. The noise level from the bar in the lobby and parking lot was noticeable, fortunately once I was in my room, it was non existent. The lady at the front desk was chatty, and friendly in the great Texas way. She put me in room 101 which would be around the corner. This property is an older one, with exterior rooms. My room was dark, but spacious and seemed clean. I just wanted to get some sleep after adjusting the a/c and turning the tv on so I didn't do a how clean is this room inspection. My room did have a second door that might've had access to the interior part of the hotel, I'm not sure. I managed to get a few hours of sleep before being on my way early in the morning. For the price of around $60.00 I can't complain. I arrived after dark in the evening, and left while it was still dark in the morning, that might've been a good thing.

Reviewed By Titounus4045• Uncovering bugs in the first room we were assigned, we were told this was normal. • At the transfer, we received a refrigerator that did not work. We called the desk about twice for a new one, be size we bought a week's worth of groceries. No help thus forced to use our cooler with ice.. • Toilet was cracked at its foot, leaking around a puddle. Decent that they left a towel around it before we entered but was unsanitary and dangerous to go by. If you can fix these, then it will be more pleasant.

A bargain during Covid and you don't need a car.

It appears to be newly renovated and the kitchen in the room is fully equiped with plates & silverware, pots & pans, even a toaster & dishwasher. Also a good laundry room. You don't need a car because bus 40 to downtown is a short walk, and the bus stop is across the street from Whole Foods on Houston Northcutt Blvd. The bus is hourly, so be early. Charleston historic residential district south of Broad St with huge homes dating from 1730s is stunning with lots to see and plaques to read. You don't need to research it initially, just start walking south on King St from Broad St. South of Broad preservation was pioneered by Susan Frost in 1910s. She is a hero and there is a book about her at the Charleston Preservation Society at the corner of King & Queen. I also recommend Huriyali Gardens, 401 Huger St & Rutledge Ave, which is cool with healthy food & beer. It's not far from downtown, and bus 102 to Rutledge & Moultrie St is an interesting ride through nice neighborhoods. Huriyali is close to Bus 40 stop at Line St & Meeting St which takes you back to Candlewood Suites. Candlewood Suites is a bargain during Covid which never seems to end.
