Reviewed By BaseCampRainbowGreat location... close to railway station and restaurants. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the room was very hot and stuffy. Unable to control room temperature as the air conditioning is turned off apparently!

Small Airless Room Close to the Railway Station
Reviewed By RetireeBobLocated in the city about 1 km from the CBD, overlooking the Railway yards. The Hotel is eight stories and very utilitarian in style. The Passenger Lifts (2 of) are small, carrying no more than three people with a suitcase each. The room was of a small size and very hot, with the a/c controlled remotely by hotel, no user adjustment. While you could open the window for fresh air, the Hotel backs onto a busy Railway yard (multi lined). This meant it was a trade off between fresh air or lots of noise from around 4:40 am and midnight. The room had a portable air Humidifier supplied which helped alleviate the stiflingness of the heat. Unlike most hotels there was no bottled water supplied. The bed was comfortable. It seems that a lot of hotels who let a double room think that they only need to supply one luggage rack, desk top used instead. There was free WiFi. Small but modern Bathroom with a good selection of toiletries. The shower was over the high sided bath, which could be a problem for those with mobility or balance issues. There was a coin operated Laundry on an upper floor for Guest use. The Breakfast selection was about 97% Japanese food with no cereal or tomato juice, scrambled eggs were made to order.

Reviewed By JTaylor60We were visiting from New Zealand. Our daughter lives in Kasama and suggested this hotel. We weren’t disappointed once! Everything was so lovely - the friendly and attentive staff; the rooms were a great size and very clean and well stocked, and the location was perfect. The Mito train station was 5 minutes away. In the same building was a supermarket, a brewery restaurant (great food and beer), coffee shops, family store and numerous other shops. We hd brunch on Sunday in the hotel restaurant which was very nice. We were very impressed and if the need arose again, would definately stay here again :)

Stinky, dated and very small
Reviewed By DparodyYou can get used to small Japanese hotel rooms but not the stink of cigarette smoke in the room which made it very unpleasant. Bathroom was one of those cruise ship units with some ingenious plumbing for the shower. Best part of the hotel was, unfortunately, the connected Denny's restaurant!

Reviewed By SportTravel-WorldWe stayed here for our visit to Motegi. This is an older APA hotel with less modern (small) rooms than we stayed eg in Tokyo. Breakfast was very “local” but good toast machine available. Location close the Mito station compensates but next stay we might choose another hotel.

A nice business hotel close to Ibaraki Prefecture Government Building!!
Reviewed By mabei0123I stayed at this hotel several times when I stayed at Mito. It's very close to the Ibaraki Prefecture Government Building. All rooms are clean, breakfast is free and not so bad. There is a good Izakaya next to the hotel.

An affordable business hotel with onsen bath in Mito!

It's located in Daikumachi (carpenter town), the night spot with many restaurants and bars in Mito, although it takes 5 -7 min from JR Mito station by buss (170 yen). The onsen bath is for women until 21PM and for men from 21PM-6AM. The rooms are new and stylish, the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good. Overall, this is a good hotel for single business persons!!

Beautiful hotel, grand feeling
Reviewed By Stormville99This hotel is lovely. It feels very grand inside. We are a family so we had to book two rooms as there didn't seem to be an option for all of us in one room, but maybe that's all that was available. We didn't book breakfast each day in advance, but the first day we ate a wonderful Western breakfast in the courtyard restaurant. We hoped for the same the second day, but they only had a Japanese option. Fair enough as we didn't inform them ahead of time. It's in a good location with walking distance to a convenience store.

Nice location
Reviewed By RadzaHotel is very well situated near the main train station and offers quite comfortable stay. Personnel is friendly and helpful, but not completely english speaking. Breakfasts are tasty, however options are a bit limited and during the longer stay it can be very repetitive. The pressure of water in the shower was absolutely fantastic!
