The new Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is the perfect place to indulge in a decidedly chic experience that combines the essence of Mexico with the spirit of French Art de Vivre, characteristic of Sofitel. Ideally located in the iconic Paseo De La Reforma Avenue, the first luxury French-branded hotel with breathtaking views of the city and the Angel of Independence.
I’ve had the most amazing service experience when staying at the Sofitel CDMX. The attention to detail is pure perfection. Our room had a magnificent view of El Angel and we enjoyed the Millesime Club on the 36th floor with lounge access throughout our stay. The entire Millesime team made sure our stay exceeded expectations, Natalia, Maria José, Santiago, and Maria, were wonderful by anticipating our needs and delivering royalty service. I’d like to make a special mention about two individuals who made us feel very special during our stay at Sofitel, Valeria and Pablo. They both had the nicest gesture of appreciation by sending to our room a gift from L’occitane, my favorite brand. We are already planning another trip to Mexico City and will stay at this magnificent property every single time we visit this beautiful city. Thank you for creating memories that will last forever.

Our family of four spent three nights at the Hotel Cathedral. It is well located near the Zocalo, the Templo Mayor, the major pedestrian streets of the historic district and many restaurants. Our rooms had recently been remodeled and the beds were comfortable and the room was clean and was cleaned daily. The staff at the hotel was welcoming and very helpful. We got help scheduling our covid tests for return to the US and the hotel had duplicates of the letters from the testing service. They even rescued my husband's favorite baseball cap which was left in the lobby. I would have no problem recommending the Hotel Cathedral.

We’ve stayed in this hotel in 3 separate occasions and are always very impressed with the offering. The price is right for the cleanliness, location, security and design. We actually booked a different hotel just to try something different and upon arrival learned they wouldn’t have electricity until night time, the security and service left a lot to be desired. Thankfully, we were able to cancel and booked a Jr. suite that saved our trip. Thanks to Fernando who made our checkin a breeze and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were greeted with top shelf tequila and had the best view of el Zocalo. We’ve also stayed in the more economical rooms which are great if you’re not planning on spending much time in your room, they tend to be small but well equipped, clean and comfortable . The breakfast is the BEST in town and is included in your stay as well as unlimited bottled water, beers, soft drinks, sandwiches, chips… in short you get your money’s worth. We won’t make the mistake of booking elsewhere on our next visit. This lovely spot will not disappoint. ¡Muchas Gracias!

Historico Central is the ideal place to experience the perfect stay for the business traveler and tourist alike. 81 rooms with 4 categories from the Standard Rooms to the magnificent Jr. Suites with balconies, overlooking the historic buildings of Calle Bolivar. This hotel is compatible to a downtown New York size hotel, not big but big enough. However, what makes this hotel 5 stars in my book is the people that work there. We were greeted like kings by Armando with a complementary drink and took our belongings to our room as he explained all that the hotel had to offer. Roberto AF, Gonzalo and Chef Jose made our everyday complimentary breakfast experience like if we were at home eating with family. My wife got a stomach illness from an outside food vendor (Don't recommend) and these gentlemen went the extra mile to accommodate her with soup and apples. Daniel at the front counter is very helpful and professional. The entire work force at this hotel gives you 5 star service. Every floor has a lobby mini fridge with cold bottle waters and the front lobby has a 24/7 complimentary cafe/sandwich shop. Great place next to Zocalo and walking distance from many places (See below). Ohhh, don’t forget the free walking tour that comes with your stay. Arena Coliseo Lucha: Walking Distance Zocalo: Walking Distance Museo Bellasartes: Walking Distance China Town: Walking Distance Cafe Tacuba: Walking Distance

The exterior views of this hotel were not specially atractive, but finding a good rate from a travel site (not the hotel web) we decided to give it a try for our second stay in Mexico City. However, staying at the hotel was a great surprise. The room was great and the hotel has a sense of "quality" with very kind and helpfull staff. The hotel breakfast was quite expensive but you will find a very convenient Starbucks on the ground floor.

Room is really very nice but the hotel is not perfect. Positive 1. Very high quality noise proof room. Great bed, great water pressure, great internet. Beautiful building. 2. Drop off to airport available Negatives 1. Untrained front desk. There was a woman called , Cassandra at duty at 0230 am. She had no self identification and seemed dressed as if she was at home. At 0300 in morning, she took 20 minutes to check me in. As she claimed her printer was not working. 2. Its almost impossible to arrive at hotel even with gps. There is no signboards anywhere in airport stating direction of hotel. I got lost many times after arriving at domestic airport to reach this hotel. I suggest to take a taxi! Especially of you have luggage or are too tired. 3. I wanted to order food to take with me for my long haul flight. The chef told me they have breakfast available only. And none of the main dishes or Mexican dishes. Only egg or fruit or pancake. further, i must go to restaurant to take the food. There is no service to leave my food packet at front desk. I was very disappointed. Main reason i stayed here, as i wanted to get food packed for next flight. Its a beautiful hotel. However, service is substandard. I hope you found my review helpful? In case you did, do not forget to leave a “ i found your review helpful” tab. 4
