Wonderful airport hotel
Reviewed By PattychrFrom the moment we called for the shuttle from the airport until the time we checked out, this was a wonderful hotel experience. Every employee we met (Van driver, receptionist, bartender, restaurant workers) was friendly and seemed intent on making our stay enjoyable. Our room (416) was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with options to suit any taste. After arriving a little jet-lagged from our flight from the US, we checked out refreshed and ready to see France. Thank you Hotel Mercure Bordeaux Aeroport; we look for to staying with you again!

Reviewed By tmdee74Quadruple family room with mezzanine floor perfect for us, but watch the stairs with little ones! Staff couldn't be friendlier, restaurant food fantastic and staff in restaurant friendly and knowledgeable. Room clean. Lovely clean pool.

Just what we needed (last minute after cancelled flight)
Reviewed By AlexM455We were a victim of easyJet deciding at the very last minute to cancel our flight home so booked this very quickly via Booking.com. The hotel is very basic but was more than adequate for what we needed (a place to rest and sleep for the day before early rearranged flight the next day), and I think certainly better than some of the other airport offerings in the vicinity. Pros: - Early check in was good - from 12:00 meant we could rest in the afternoon and not have to wait around for a later afternoon check in - Check in and payment was a breeze - Free WiFi, and included breakfast and shuttle service to airport (albeit we had to leave before both of these - start at 5 and 7 respectively if I remember) - Comfy, large bed - Can see planes taking off from the window on certain sides of the building - good for kids - Free parking when we had our hire car - Really close to airport (we walked back after dropping off car) Cons - Room was hot - and the fan/AC arrangement just made a lot of noise rather than actually doing anything - Some mould on bathroom ceiling (picture) - Only two plug points in the room itself - The receptionist at check in wrote our name in a book to book a taxi for the next morning, but on coming back later to change the time the receptionist had no record of this… (in retrospect an Uber would’ve been easier and cheaper) The restaurant was closed while we were there - had hoped to try Au Bureau Merignac (walking distance) but was fully booked. Plenty of Uber Eats options (admittedly mainly burgers…). Ended up going to BChef which was OK (also walkable - though the locale feels safe it’s typical airport vicinity bleakness, and lots of roadworks at the moment due to the tram extension).

Reviewed By raymondd286In the current context, I can only thank. I missed the ambiance, but the reception was impeccable, and my requests were met. I would like to be given this free night when everything returns as before so that I can dine and better appreciate the breakfast that I missed because it is the revelation of a good hotel. I put average but it would take the possibility of between average and very good.

Reviewed By Beccy37Stayed for 3 nights. Too cramped for 2 adults and 2 children in a family room. Unfortunately the pool was closed for 2 days during our stay, which was very disappointing. There was nothing else in the way of facilities. When we checked out, I was asked if we'd enjoyed our stay, when I said the pool was closed the receptionist decided to argue with me, making the experience even worse.

Reviewed By Tony CWe arrived in a heavy rain storm to a closed lobby and had to deal with a machine while getting soaked. I'm not sure how much they save by not having someone to greet the guest - but it is a bad idea as i will never return or recommend this hotel.

Not good if you suffer flight disruption
Reviewed By Douglas EThe hotel for the price is fine. The aircon didn't work. The real problem is although the hotel is 0.5m from the airport it is not set up to cater fir the vagaries of travel. As my booked flight was 7am in the morning, I didn't book breakfast. On my planned departure from the hotel, I found my flight was cancelled. When I tried to book a breakfast, I was met with a gallic "Non". Not sure why they have zero capability of catering for some extra breakfasts in a buffet arrangement but it was extremely unhelpful.

Reviewed By Lars BBasic hotel in the vicinity of the airport. You can walk to the hotel in 25 minutes with a big suitcase with wheels. Bus line 1 or 48 will only take a few minutes. Line 48 only runs once an hour from mon-fri and costs 1,60 €. Hotel is basic. A room, a good double bed, bathroom, airconditioning and wifi. Breakfast was nothing special but only option unless You want to grab something in the airport. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. If You want to go downtown (which You should if You want something nice to eat) You can take either of the two mentioned busses. It will take just less than an hour and You will get off at Gare St. Jean (if You take line 1). From there You need to walk for half an hour to the city center. There is free parking outside. From midnight to early next morning the area is quiet. 3 1/2 * - good - for a single night!

No busses, shuttles or any transportation available, only taxis which none was there and huge Lina waiting. We walked 1.5km to the hotel with luggage.

Basic but clean
Reviewed By ym451A small, basic hotel to stop when you are traveling further than Bordeaux. Free parking, great wifi and friendly staff. Small rooms, but clean. The hotel information was all in French, which was not very handy, but staff spoke English. I would not stay longer than 2 nights due to the location (bit of a drive to the centre of Bordeaux)
