A stone’s throw away from the bright, blue Mediterranean Sea sits Hotel Calypso. Perfectly-positioned on the north shore of the Island in the fishing harbour of Marsalforn, Hotel Calypso blends effortlessly within this picturesque seaside resort. Whether it’s a diving holiday you’re after, a base for your days on the beach or walks in the countryside, Hotel Calypso is the ideal hideout in Gozo, offering a cocktail of comfortable surroundings, breathtaking views and friendly service to accompany the ultimate island vacation in Gozo.
Hotel Calypso is well situated on a pretty bay, lined with bars and restaurants. The hotel overlooks the bay at the front but backs onto an untidy Street area so best to upgrade to a front or side sea view if possible. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is fine and the restaurant is light and airy. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The Aircon works and is adjustable. The bathrooms are a little dated and they need to supply rubber mats for the baths as they are very slippy when standing to shower. I would have preferred a walk-in shower and no bath. They charged a deposit for two very old thin and holey pool towels which was ridiculous as all the towels needed replacing. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Murella Living is a small family run boutique hotel of 24 individually designed rooms 1 min away from the seafront of the most sought after resort in Gozo.
Stayed 3 days here for a wedding, could not fault anything, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast really good, although continental everything was of good standard and lots of variety. The room was very comfortable with everything you would need, the hosts certainly have thought of everything, even down to bottles of water on arrival. It is also a bonus to be able to book a car parking space in the garage, as parking is a problem, for 5 euros a day it was certainly worth it. 2 minutes walk to the sea where there is plenty of eating places and bars. Will certainly return if visiting Gozo

Maria Giovanna, a typical Maltese town house, elegantly furnished 15-bedroom guest house offering a warm yet family atmosphere. It is run with care just like a personal home. Antique furniture, modern design and comforts melt to create this peaceful atmosphere. All bedrooms are set in a rustic style with romantic brass/iron beds. Each bedroom enjoys a fresh shower equipped with a hairdryer. Situated in an excellent location in Marsalforn.
We spent 6 nights here and it was perfect. The room was clean, pretty and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing- so much choice. The hosts are friendly and relaxed. We were diving and the location was ideal. There is a flat roof terrace with a sink and driers where we could clean and dry our dive stuff. Would thoroughly recommend going here. Claire and Polk

La Playa Hotel located close to Marsalforn sandy beach and waterfront offers 19 classic rooms; most of which enjoy beautiful sea views. All rooms are air conditioned, come with flat screen cable tv and offers free Wi-Fi to our guests.
We have stayed at La Playa twice now, and will officially become our hotel of choice when we stay in Gozo, which is pretty often. Denise was beyond attentive and helpful and we truly couldn't be happier. The hotel seems to look better every time we visit, with upgraded rooms, very comfy beds, and a stunning new bathroom this time (Room 61). Plus, the view was incredible! I have to say, we stayed over Carnival weekend and expected to hear some noise and partying. Much to our surprise, not a sound. Kudos to the morning chef as well! A lovely way to start the day exploring Gozo, with an amazing spread of delicious breakfast items to choose from. We left very rested, and well fed! Thanks Denise and team, we hope to be back to Ghawdex soon!

Discusting service. Firstly they try to charge a price of 5 stars but their rating is 1star only. The furniture in the place is old in every room that nothing is ever updated here. The towels are good for rags and no soap provided for their dreaming of 5star rating is 1 star rating. Their beds are so uncomfortable that they are to stingy to buy new beds. The whole place needs a bull dozer through it. Joseph makes the breakfast his only good to make eggs and toast. They are rude and unfriendly and the rooms are not secure or safe. Stay away from this place it’s not good to waiste your money here. The rooms don’t even have coffee or tea and no kettles. The air conditioning doesn’t work and the tv is just a cheap one from the supermarket. No blankets. When asking for things here it’s like you need a gold ticket. They treat poor people like rubbish. They discriminate on the basis of what you look like and tell you the place is full if you are poor. Be careful and aware of this scammers.

I have written several reviews about restaurants and hotels and probably never wrote a terrible review about anyone but this hotel owner is one of a kind. We booked a room and had informed we would be arriving at ten pm. Owner kept us in suspense until we arrived to give us a simple door code his phone was off and this was a door code he could have simply texted. His mobile was practically off all the time. We arrived and needed to have a shower and tried to call him many times though yet again his phone was off. We simply couldn’t get the very complicated shower to operate - and since owner offered an alternative room I showered in other room. My wife literally cleaned the room spotless after and on informing the owner he was snapping at my wife at the top of his voice until I intervened. Over my dead body will any rude hotel owner yell at my wife in that tone of voice. This is the hospitality industry but the owner needs to look up the word hospitality in the dictionary.

An affordable and recently refurbished Guest House in the very heart of Marsalforn Bay offering fantastic panoramic views at competitive prices without compromising on comfort, quality or service. Electra Guest House is an ideal alternative to staying at the hotels in the area. Meals besides breakfast are available including many of the services offered at hotels, such as airport transfers, wake up calls and laundry service. Our accommodation is located near the main bus stop, only 10 minutes away from the busting town of Victoria, making us an excellent base from which to explore Gozo. We are here to assist you with any queries or questions, and can also help you with many other facets of your stay, such as booking tours or tickets to shows and exhibitions.
Having spent one night at the Electra Guesthouse I can definitely say that it will be my last! On arrival I rang the bell at the reception desk 3 times before giving up and heading to the bar area. Asking the bar man if I could check in I was given the key to my room. He did not ask for my name or any form of ID - I literally could have been anyone! I had booked a single room costing €36 for the night including breakfast. The room was extremely compact but it’s saving grace was that it was spotlessly clean and sported a beautiful view from the balcony overlooking Marsalform Bay. More on the room… the single bed led to a terrible night’s sleep. The mattress had clearly seen better days with any cushioning being flattened over the years and the springs trying their best to poke through from the mattress cover. The single pillow had also seen better days leaving very little support as I attempted to sleep. One of the ceiling lights needed a new bulb and the rickety wardrobe had its sliding doors almost jammed shut. The en-suite shower room was almost as big as the bedroom and although cleaned to a good standard room one of the spotlights above the shower cubicle was hanging loose from its ceiling recess with the wires visible. Upon returning to the guesthouse around 10pm the main door was locked. This was advised at “check-in” and a key was provided. Upon entering the hallway was in almost complete darkness except for a small table lamp sitting on the reception desk. I had to use the torch on my phone to find the way to my 2nd floor room. The next morning following a very restless sleep I decided against showering as I was put off by the loose light fitting. Breakfast was complimentary but given my experience I decided against having it opting to eat elsewhere. Upon checkout the reception desk was unmanned, I simply left my room key on the counter and swiftly left. I very much regret having a poor experience at the Electra Guesthouse, with a bit of love, care & attention it could be a hidden gem!

This hotel was perfect for what we needed, with a great convenient location and a comfortable atmosphere. Raphael made sure all our amenities were working and even arranged us transport to the hotel. The hotel is right next to several restaurants and beaches, with Marsalforn easily walkable to the south and some breathtaking natural attractions to the north. Great location, great room, great service!

The Atlantis Lodge is an ideal location if you're diving with Atlantis Gozo and is less then 100m from the dive shop. Rooms are well appointed and wi-fi is generally reliable. Rooms are clean and comfortable and air-con works perfectly. In-room tea and coffee choices are a little limited and only granulated sugar is available, so if you use sweetener or speciality teas take your own. Breakfast (delivered to the room due to C19 restrictions) is also limited, but perfectly edible and well presented. Other C19 measures (e.g. daily sanitising, sanitiser availability) make the hotel feel safe. Considering the price this hotel gives excellent value-for-money and I would happily stay there again especially in order to dive again with Atlantis Gozo Diving Centre.

We stayed for 6 nights in 14 Dolphin Court. Eric Borg was an excellent host. He met us on arrival and sent us on ahead to admire our digs, while he brought up our luggage. The apartment was clean and modern and recently refurbished. Eric also provided victuals free of charge for us to make a sandwich and have tea and coffee as we had arrived late in Sunday after the shops had closed, which was very thoughtful. The apartment boasted two separate terraces with very different views. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with coin operated air conditioning which was good value and definitely needed. Towels were provided. Lots of storage in the bedroom. The apartment was a 5 minute walk from the bay where all the restaurants are, and 2 minutes walk from three food markets. We were on the 4th floor but thankfully there is a lift. Good value. Definitely recommend.
