Absolute desaster
Reviewed By CaffaroaWe book for 9 nights threw Booking. In the third day the elevator was out of order, this is the fourth day without elevator and it wont be fixed any soon. They have nobody to help with the luggage. If you have any disability there is no solution. The Wi-Fi just worked the first 4 days, then it stopped working and it comes and goes, it is impossible to work, and no one has any idea how to fix it. There is no hot water in the morning, just barely warm. Shampoo is refied every other day, I went out and buy one. The first day our room was not made. In the breakfast there is only one toaster with 2 sides, and one is not working since we arrived. There is no safe box in the room, they offer in the lobby. I travel very often all around the world and I never had such an awful experience.

Bed bugs beware

First night was fine, but then after we had our room ‘cleaned’ the next night I started to get bites. At first I was in denial, and thought maybe it was sand fleas or something but after researching the bites (over 20 on my ankles, feet and legs) and then reading other reviews I am convinced it was beg bugs and decided to post this to warn others.

We're in Manhattan Beach, five minutes from Manhattan Village Mall for shopping and dining. LAX is three miles away and Downtown and the Manhattan Beach Pier are under 10 minutes' drive. The SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, is seven miles from our door. Enjoy our restaurant, Second Story, and our outdoor pool. WiFi's on us.
Stay Away from this hotel! Horrendous service
Reviewed By atabriz1Such an unbelievably negative experience that I had to come to write this review. Buckle in! I placed a reservation through AMEX travel portal for a stay along with my flight purchase. The portal incorrectly had made the reservation for Wednesday - Thursday when my flight was Tuesday - Wednesday. I called the hotel immediately to get the reservation moved to Tuesday - Wednesday to which the agent let me know it was placed via “Expedia” (even tho it was through the Amex portal) and that I needed to contact them. I contacted Amex and they tried calling the hotel to move the reservation up one day. They said they needed a supervisor to sign off on the fee waiver to move the reservation and to call back the next morning. I did this and Amex was able to get in touch with the supervisor, to which he responded that it would not at all be refunded and that I would just have to make a new reservation and still pay for the Wednesday - Thursday stay. What? I called the hotel directly again. The rep told me that they just cant touch the reservation and that they’d be happy to move it but, again incorrectly, “Expedia needs to change it”. So at this point I’m thinking Either Amex is lying to me, or these guys are. I call Amex, pretty upset at this point, and they contact the hotel again on my behalf. Nikki from the front desk let’s them know that she is a supervisor (which she is not) and that she cannot approve a waiver for a now needing to be canceled stay since it’s Tuesday and I had to stay at a different hotel obviously. I don’t believe the Amex agent, because of what the hotel rep had told me. I call for myself to speak with Nikki. Let me just say, if Belamar management is reading this, Nikki was so absolutely rude, she treats me like I’m wasting her time when I am explaining the situation that clearly has me upset. Snarkingly asks “what is it that you need to speak with a supervisor” puts me on a long hold and when she returns she so rudely says “I had to take care of an actual customer” as if they’re not robbing me of $200 without even attempting to treat me like a customer. She has an absolutely garbage attitude and tells me she’s repeated 4 times to me and the Amex team that her supervisor said he's not willing to waive any fees. Aha! Finally! Some accountability! So as it turns out, they can and have the option to make changes, and remove fees. And to be honest, mistakes can be made, even with robust automated travel portals like Amex. But if you’re not willing to even make a one day change for a customer (which is what I initially wanted, just couldn’t be done by the actual date I needed the reservation for) without charging him full night rate as the fee, then what does that say about your customer service? I travel to LA very often as my company is based in El Segundo and I am in SLC. These guys could have had so much business from me alone, instead their awful service led me to write the worst review I have ever written about any establishment. If you’ve gotten this far, please do yourself a huge favor and stay miles away from this hotel. It is ran by a crew of degrading, rude, and thriving “hosts”. This is 2022, can’t be going around screwing people over for something that could’ve so easily been resolved and not getting blasted for it. I’ve now submitted a dispute via Amex and am hoping to see a chargeback for this, I just hope you don’t have to go through this experience as well. Thanks for reading, and happy travels!

Branden personalized our visit by making sure all of our needs were taken care of all five days. We felt like royalty on New Year’s Eve when Marissa & Alexis made sure we had our complimentary bottle of Champagne & noise makers to bring in 2022? The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and helpful with in-room requests and exceptional food. The rooms and amenities , however, added the greatest satisfaction to our stay. After long bike rides to Hermosa Beach we were able to lounge on the rooftop in the luxurious hot tub and return to our room for a private jacuzzi dip. We know this will be a place we will return. A special thank you to the management team that takes great pride in making sure their patrons are top priority. We will see you again.

Reviewed By BTTBooked this motel for a quick stop over at LAX. Pros: Good price and free parking, about 20% below average hotels in the area. The rooms are clean, of decent size, including bathroom. Location is close to LAX (10 minutes) or 15 minutes from the rental car lots. Lots of shops around and close to Manhattan Beach. On a busy road (PCH) but quiet enough. Cons: The WiFi doesn't really work before 7am and 11:30pm. The signal was weak and the connection was unstable. some of the devices (e.g., laptop) worked, some (phone, iPad) didn't, Even a connection was made, there was no internet activity. Likely a result of too many users for the network to handle. Should be a simple problem to fix considering it's only a 60 room facility. We arrived in late morning after a red eye. The front desk staff said that they have room but if we check in early, it will be charged an extra day. Maybe for COVID purposes, the housekeeping staff told us that they would only supply additional towels but not doing daily cleaning. Shower water pressure is very weak. Location requires a car. All rooms require stairs. No elevators. It should be a good place for many but not for me.

Reviewed By ANJUGOELAPros: Large hotel right on the golf course, it is close to the malls and some good eating places. The pier and the beach are only a 10 minute drive from the hotel. The rooms are well appointed and the food decent. Cons: No complementary water in the room. Also, the fridge in the room had no freezer and I needed to freeze some gel packs to store some prescription medication. The hotel refused to keep the packs in their refrigerator, which was highly inconvenient.

Reviewed By JO2093My wife and I were here for two weeks and had a very lovely stay! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Initially, the shower was a bit backed up and wasn’t draining properly and the staff were extremely responsive and fixed the issue. The front desk staff including Alex were very friendly and we appreciated their kind hospitality. In addition to the great amenities, it’s a short drive to downtown Manhattan beach! We would definitely stay here again!

You get what you pay for......and then some.

We were looking for a place to stay that was close to LAX and didn't look closely enough at the online reviews. This place was the grossest, sketchiest place I have ever stayed. It was unsafe. The door had a huge gap to let in air, noise, smells, wind, and anything else that wanted to come in. The windows were just a few feet from the sidewalk and easily openable from outside or in (no locks). The parking garage had a pile of old furniture at one end and what used to be the pool area is covered up and permanently out of service. Even with the loud hum from the air conditioners, our night was constantly interrupted by noise in the hallway, cars passing by, and a car alarm in the parking garage. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this dump.

Clean, comfortable but noisy

Hearing everything down to snoring from the room next door and people coming back late at night. Thankfully the second night the noisy guests must have gone and it was much better. The room was clean and there was just enough space for a large suitcase next to the bed. The shower took quite a long time to get hot but stick with it and it will. All staff were very friendly and helpful though. Kindly keeping our luggage for a few hours after check out too. If in the area, I may stay again.
