We really enjoyed our short stay at the Dower house. The grounds are so beautiful, I only wish I had brought my swimming costume as there was a heated pool ! The rooms are all of a very high standard, lovely comfy bed and soft, fluffy towels in the bathroom……wonderful.Excellent breakfast, with well cooked fresh produce. I would definitely stay here again.

The Rock Point is a charming Inn located right on the harbour in the stunning coastal town of Lyme Regis on the Jurassic coast of Dorset. The Rock Point is now open after a complete renovation of the bar, dining areas, guest bedrooms and outdoor spaces and we cannot wait to show you what we have been creating!
On our first night in Lyme Regis we had no clue where to eat but were drawn to Rock Point because it looks so nice, and because of Tripadvisor reviews. Despite the fact that they were so busy, a charming member of staff found us a table where we enjoyed a truly tremendous mixed seafood platter accompanied by the recommended white wine, all delicious. Night two we tried a different restaurant, had a didappointing meal so ended up back at the Rock Point for pudding, coffee and Baileys, again all goid. Night three we thought we’d just go with where we knew was good, turned up at Rock Point again and luckily the lovely staff found us a table. This time we had Fantastic fish and chips and a good wine wine, lovely meal. Don’t hesitate to go here if you enjoy good food, relaxed but warm atmosphere and friendly efficient staff, the Rockpoint has it all. Well worth a visit.

Westwood Guest House is either a luxury bed & breakfast guest house or large whole house let in the beautiful Dorset town of Lyme Regis at the heart of the Jurassic Coast. The building has been extended and tastefully refurbished to the highest standards. The contemporary feel to Westwood offers much, much more than you’d expect. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Each room has been individually designed to be comfortable, relaxing and features stunning views from every aspect. From the front of the house you can look over Lyme Bay, right across Lyme Bay to Portland Bill and Golden Cap, from the rear of the house you can enjoy wonderful woodland views. All our rooms have either Super King, King or Twin beds and feature large en-suite shower rooms, each one offers a host of features such as flat-screen TV’s, hairdryers, iron and ironing boards. On arrival you will find fresh milk in your own fridge, in addition, there’s a safe for your valuables… just the right size for your laptop. And talking of laptops, the whole of the house is totally ‘wifi’ enabling you to stay in touch whenever you take your holiday break.
I must comment on the peculiar and nasty review written by ARJ about the owner of Westwood. I have stayed at this lovely guest house several times over more than ten years and been cared for attentively and hospitably on every visit by the owner who ARJ is referring to. I was staying on the top floor at the same time as this "difficult" family stayed below me and was in the vicinity of them on occasions. I understand that the child in the family was not expected by the owner but she accepted them and tried to make them welcome as I overheard a conversation when they arrived. I was personally overly aware of the child's presence in this peaceful house because the parents made no obvious attempt to stop them making unacceptable noise. I am NOT the friend who ARJ refers to. I heard this family complain about bad weather (a mist which crept in) one day and, on another day, complain about sun in their eyes in the breakfast room. I should imagine that it is disruptive to move people around and also think that covid hygiene is easier to implement if guests stay on their allocated tables. Indeed, people arrive at different times so how does ARJ know that the table they wanted wasn't to be occupied soon afterwards? ARJ seemed to me to want very special attention! I wasn't in the breakfast room all the time but find it extremely difficult to imagine the owner being rude to guests. I have never witnessed anything of the sort. The owner shows great efforts to maintain hygiene during and outside Covid restrictions - I've always felt very safe. I have also stayed in different rooms in the house. The beds are very comfortable, nothing is in any way at all shoddy - quite the opposite. I will continue to visit Westwood, recommend it to my friends and relatives and to anyone reading this too! Charming little guest house in the heart of Lyme Regis, popular seaside town, featuring 7 en-suite bedrooms. From here, hike all the way to Golden Cap, fuelled by yummy, yet healthy breakfast served by our friendly hosts.
This building is one block away from the main downtown area of Lyme Regis . If your staying here to explore the beach and the town this spot is close to perfect. Only negative is if you are driving you have to park a block up the hill, but that is not uncommon in England. Our room was not large but had all amenities and was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great, really great, and is included. One of the better cups of coffee in the country.

Set at the edge of the beach in the beautiful and historic coastal town of Lyme Regis, the Pilot Boat has just been relaunched following a nine-month project by Palmers Brewery to rejuvenate the iconic grade II listed building back to life as a lifestyle destination pub & restaurant with roof terrace and bedrooms. The Pilot Boat has three beautifully appointed boutique letting rooms. All complete with oversized bathrooms, 4k televisions, minibars and stunning views out to sea. The Pilot Boat also offers a wide range of all-day dining options from the huge open plan kitchen and pizza oven, artisan coffee from early morning, and of course a full range of Palmers award winning ale.
Just returned from Lyme Regis after a vacation with friends. Visited the pilot boat restaurant for lunch. A regular customer who was sitting outside stated to our group that he was not allowed to vape despite other guests were allowed to smoke. I witnessed this and the elderly gentleman stated it was because he did not purchase food and only popped in the restaurant for a drink. This gentleman was being discriminated and this was totally unacceptable. Please management do not treat customers in this way as our party Vowed never to return to your restaurant as it deeply saddened us to witness this poor service and behaviour from your staff.

Newly decorated three bedroom guest house with private en-suite facilities (two sea view rooms). Large one bedroom apartment with private terrace and sea views. Fantastic location, you do not need your car once you get here. Private on-site parking & WIFI.
Our room, though a bit small, was comfortable with plenty of storage and a good shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. We liked the flexible breakfast arrangement and the variety and quality of food were excellent - fresh fruit, eggs, yoghurts, cereals, breads, jams etc. The parking is a bonus and the guest house is within (steep!) walking distance of the centre. John, Ali and Ella have made every effort to make their guests feel welcome. A well-equipped, well-managed guest house.

Nestled on the corner where the world-famous Cobb meets the harbour, with extensive views over Lyme Bay, The Cobb Arms is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy the best family welcome West Dorset has to offer. Whether you are one of the local life-boat crew enjoying a pint of real ale after your shift, looking for a special dinner with freshly prepared, locally-sourced ingredients, a G&T from our extensive gin menu, or a snug room for the night, The Cobb Arms has it all. So why not pop in and give us a try?
First visited the cob arms fives years ago, the food was top quality, return this week to really cheap food, i had a burger wich dripped all over the chips, burgers had no taste, and chip were nearly cold, before leaving i use the toilets wich stunk, Sad the quality has gone down hill, will not be returning.

The Kersbrook is a beautiful thatched, eighteenth century Grade II listed building (1780) set in its own picturesque mature gardens just off the town centre with views across Lyme Regis, Lyme Bay, the sea and the heritage coast line. All of our double, twin and family rooms are ensuite and are full of character. Rooms vary in size; some rooms having bay windows and seating areas with views across the bay out to sea or looking over our picturesque garden and are typical of a listed building of this period.
Perfect SWCP accommodation located right beside the Holmbush Car Park which is adjacent to the path. Alex and Alice were great hosts and offered very good advice on the area and the path. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and great wifi. The breakfast was likewise superb and I hope to stay there again soon
