It's been some years since my last visit and I don't know if it is Covid-19 or just a general leap down the ladder of quality and service. Turtagrø was never chap and I do not expect it to be either, but this visit will be my last. The rooms should be better at this price, specially the beds. And when the service that used to be excellent is on a low the price is just not worth it. The breakfast was good, but the dinner was a disaster. A mediocre mushroom soup, followed by an overcooked, cold pollock and finished off with a dry gooseberry pie is not what I expect when I pay €60, not even in Norway. And just to finish the rip off they charge you €20 for a 16A outlet to charge your car. That is by far the most expensive charging bill I have ever had and also the slowest charger. All in all this sums up to finding other accommodation the next time I'm in the area and need a place to stay.

We were here for dinner. The menu was okay, nothing special. Very disappointing they did not serve juice menu which in these now and days are very “ not in”. The service was okay - not very trained but did there best. The hotel and the view are absolutely fantastic and worth a trip on its own. I will recommend this place at anytime.

Gaupnetunet is located in the centre of Gaupne village, in the municipality of Luster. We have 23 rooms including our junior suites, superior rooms, family rooms and standard rooms. All the rooms have TV, free Wi-Fi access and private bathroom. Our camp site offers different types of cabins as well. Our summer restaurant is open from June through August. In the winter months we serve dinner to hotel guests every day, and take orders for group dinners, parties and meetings. In the heart of the region of Sogn, Gaupnetunet hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature and landscapes. With the Sognefjord a few metres away, and the majestic mountains of Western Norway circling the village, there is a variety of attractions and activities nearby.
Needing to do some working Skjolden, we found this very well suited hotel in Gaupne, about 30 minutes away. Arriving about 17:00 we were able to settle in in time to have a great evening meal. The room - Junior suite, facing north, wit a large balcony overlooking the stream. Breakfast had also a perfect selection, and all the staff were very professional, even Hans Olav was very helpful with information. We will be back.

Our guesthouse Nes Gard has a beautiful location, with a nice view of the mountains and Feigumfossen waterfall. Feigumfossen has a vertical drop of 218 meters this waterfall is one of the highest in Scandinavia. In our guesthouse you will stay in a charming building from 1850 with traditional architecture and interior. You will find an atmosphere that combines history with modern facilities. Our central location in Lusterfjord give you possibilities for many tours through beautiful scenery, walks along marked tracks and to visit famous historic attractions. You have the option of either unaccompanied or guided tours.
We stayed at Nes Gard for three nights with four of our friends, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hosts at Nes offered exceptional service from the day I booked our rooms till we checked out, and was willing to arrange special surprises and gifts for us as well. During our stay, we were well taken care of, in a way that left you with a "family"-feeling. Hosts took time to stop and talk, tell a few stories, light up the fireplace for you, and to make sure you felt like you were a t home in this great place. The view from the dining room and from our rooms is great, as you look out to the fjord, directly at one of Norway's biggest waterfalls. At a good rate, I would say we got all we wanted, and more, out of this stay.

The cabins were warm and cosy. The bathroom was very clean, modern and well-equipped. We also had breakfast which was all right. But the coolest thing about this place was the view, the lake and the quiet village of Hafslo. The place is accessible from bigger cities such as Sogndal. Buses leave right in front of the accommodation so there is no need to worry about the transport. Bus drivers were very excited to help us, thumbs up ?

The hotel is situated at the innermost part of the longest fjord in the world - Sognefjorden in Norway. 20 minutes drive to Jotunheimen national park and 45 minutes drive to the glacier in Jostedalen. The hotels restaurant and bar is open every day. We offer food from local farmers in Skjolden.
Owners are present and lovely! I am grateful for having been upgraded to a fjord-view room. Pretty and comfortable and with a view to die for. Great food and drink as well. Highly recommend, and would stay there again myself.

We booked the family room and it was great. The bathroom was shared, but that didn’t make our stay less enjoyable. Everything was clean and the owner was very nice. Breakfast was really tasty. Would definitely recommend for your stay.
