Hotel Ilaria and the Residenza dell'Alba are situated in the center of Lucca, within the renaissance walls. Approaching to a medieval door and overlooking on a secular park, under a majestic plane tree, you will enjoy a spectacular architectonic scenery. Our hotel residenza dell'alba are the ideal place for a moment of charme or for a business meeting in a space of light and green designed by the history.
The Hotel Ilaria in Lucca was such a contrast, impeccable service from all staff (milk in a jug sent to our room!) indoor and outside seating for a full breakfast. Jasmine growing everywhere, the terrace (with a hot tub!) has views overlooking the gardens of the Villa Bottini, situated just inside the city walls it was easy to drive out of the city. Our room overlooked a pedestrianised residential street and was really quiet. The downstarirs open bar of hot and cold drinks and snacks was a welcome after a day of sight-seeing. Good idea to prebook your parking space in high season. Lucca itself is just wonderful, and only 30 minutes drive to Pisa and the coast and beaches of Viareggio.

Overlooking the picturesque square of the same name, Palazzo Dipinto in the heart of the historical center of Lucca, has been meticulously remodelled in 2017, into this fascinating, contemporary 4 star hotel after extensive renovation of the prestigious 13th century building. Palazzo Dipinto offers a unique combination of tradition, technology and design.
We stayed two nights here. What a lovely hotel, in a beautifully restored old palazzo. Modern and stylish, yet traditional. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was of a very high standard, with excellent coffee made fresh, not from a push-button self service machine, and superb pastries. The location is very good, down a quiet street on a little square but only a minute's walk to the busy Piazza San Michele. Lots of restaurants within a short walk. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. All in all, an outstanding hotel.

Such a lovely time we had at this peaceful spot. It’s run by friendly people. Lapsed Catholics, do not pass up the opportunity to sleep under the altar of the chapel suite, plus luxurious gold-plated fixtures. I’ve never seen a bath tub like it!

Modern hotel located near the historic center, offers tasteful decor, meeting facilities, restaurant & bar; staff is multilingual.
My family of three stayed in a family room for three nights. The room was extremely large with two separate bedrooms, one with a king and one with two twins, a table and chairs, and a spacious bathroom. Parking was free and a complimentary breakfast was available. The staff was kind and helpful. Bed was a little firm but otherwise fine. The only thing is that you are far from the center of town here so only stay if you have a way to get around. I paid 133 Euro per night and found that an excellent deal given the size of the room.

We highly recommend La Boheme. It is a charming B&B, with old-World type furnishings. Laura greeted us in the evening and gave us great recommendations for dining. Deborah made us breakfast and also Mariarosa for our mornings there. We had croissants, jams, yogurt, eggs, it was hearty, not just continental. The rooms are very comfortable, bathrooms worked well and ours had good organization. Honestly, if I ever return to Lucca, I will search for no other place to stay. So warm, so welcoming, so Italian.

Al Porto di Lucca is a recently renovated large house with a garden, which can be dated to back to 1700. It is owned by a family from Lucca, whose origins date back to 1500. It is a bed and breakfast with 4 guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, located less than 300 meters from the walls and the historic center of Lucca, which then can be reached on foot or by bike via an underpass. The railway station is just 200 meters away, and by train there is easy access to Pisa with its international airport, and to the city of Florence. In addition to the gardens, the great hall and the veranda are at guests' disposal for breakfast.
Great location for Lucca visit, close to city center - just cross a bridge near the station to teach the city walls. Awesome breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, bread and eggs. Every day a bit different for a nice surprise. Friendly hosts who can recommend daytrips. The rooms are quiet.

As part of a Group of 16 touring Tuscany and Umbria, this was our first hotel of a two week trip, and we loved the location, being right downtown and easy to get to all the shops and restaurants. We had a suite, with a huge Jacuzzi and nice big shower with glass doors. The bedroom had gorgeous frescoed walls, and we had another small room with a desk and mini bar. Breakfast was very good, and service was good.

Hello everybody! I am the owner of Hotel Ristorante Villa Cheli and my name is Vincent. Today I decided to write a review to tell a little bit of our house .. Villa Cheli is a colonial villa built in 1700 , formerly owned by the family Cheli . The last owner was a sculptor , a sculptor of chalk. During the restoration , in fact , we found some of his works in the attic .. And we thought .. Why not share it with our guests ? Coming to visit us in fact you can admire them within the walls (internal and external ) of the Villa .. A bit ' as we were in a museum. The hotel rooms are located on three floors .. The first floor, the main floor of the Villa, are situated the suite and two rooms overlooking the balcony .. The second floor rooms with large windows and high ceilings on the third floor .. Instead there are the most romantic rooms with sloping roof with exposed beams and small skylights in the ceiling. On the ground floor, in addition to the reception, we have our own restaurant, open for the summer season , from March to November , that in addition to the typical dishes of Italian cuisine in general , it also offers some taste of the Tuscan tradition and Lucca. And for relaxation ? Do not miss our pool and our wellness area! All the staff and me we will be happy to welcome you in the warmest way possible and help you with all your needs
Really a 3.5 . This hotel is in a lovely setting and has a fabulous pool . The staff are lovely too . Much needed after the madness of Florence Rooms must be improved to improve rating and also there is limited food options during the day . The hotel is a few KM from a town and you can feel a tad stranded when you want a snack after travelling

Two private parkings (many car places), bicycles available for our guests. Reception quality personally run by the family owners thanks to over four generations' experience. Explore the city on foot or in comfort and style using the free bicycles provided by the hotel.
This is a great hotel - perfect location for visiting Lucca as just outside the walls and easy for car parking . All the staff were so friendly and helpful . Room was lovely and very efficient windows as very little traffic noise . Free use of push bikes to use in Lucca was brilliant.

The B&B Prince Calaf is a dwelling place for modern tourists. Located in an Art Nouveau villa completely renovated with materials and fixtures and fittings, Prince Calaf is about 300 meters from the historic city walls of Lucca. Treating yourself to one or more days at the B&B Prince Calaf is a look into the past in a unique and elegant ambience which will make special each stay.
We found La Bella Addormenttata B & B last year so when we were lucky enough to be coming back to Lucca we didn't bother looking for anywhere else. As usual Martina is a splendid host, and a font of useful tourist information. She is proud of her city and it shows. The room and bathroom were perfect - large and well equipped, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is the best we've ever found in any hotel or B & B and free parking is highly appreciated. Come for the B & B, stay for the breakfast! PS. I've ticked "yes" on any services we used, "not sure" only means we didn't ask for them, but I'm convinced that Martina would help out on any other services if asked
