Beautiful Villa BUT Beware of the Room Assignment
Reviewed By Tonya WThe villa is absolutely lovely, the staff most pleasantly accommodating, the cappuccinos were spot on, the view is stunning (if you have one) but beware of the room you are assigned. I was part of a group of 16 women traveling together and I was assigned what became known as the "jail cell." The room is at the very top of the villa, with a view of a rock covered tin roof, a tiny walk-in shower and a bed made of stone. The food was beyond fantastic when chef Francesca cooked and adequate when others cooked dinner. Breakfast was a hit and miss, I asked for bacon each morning and received it two of six mornings. The location is remote and if you do not have a car, there is little to do if you are an action-oriented traveler. It was not a question of money as I likely paid the most of any one of the group. Most of the rooms are beautiful and large but beware and ask especially if you are in a group.

One of the hidden gems of Tuscany.
Reviewed By WalesPirateWe love travelling around Italy and Tuscany is one of our favourite areas. We have been to Siena and Florence as well as San Gimigiano and Montepulciano. Having visited Loro Ciufenna we now rate this in our top three places in Tuscany and Dimora Casa Eugenia as one of the best places we have stayed in. If you are after tranquility then this fits the bill. We loved the fact that the B&B was close to two good restaurants as well as the Central Cafe in the square. A very good cafe overlooked the valley and served excellent coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Eugenia and the help we received from our friendly hosts. Breakfasts were also very good and the room very comfortable with nice thick towels.

Amazing Experience
Reviewed By Dipanjan DI stayed at A Casa da Agata with my family for three nights in August 2019. It was an extraordinary experience, especially as a city dweller. The house is nestled in the mountains, 10-15 minutes away from the city centre of Loro Ciuffenna. Our host Ginevra is a wondeful lady and served extraordinary breakfast every morning sourced from local ingredients. She also gave great recommendations for sightseeing and food. The house is also pretty close to larger cities such as Florence and Arezzo. In addition, there are two beautiful dogs that became friends with my 4-year old son. Overall, fantastic experience and we will come back again when we're in Tuscany the next time.

Reviewed By KeessiLa locanda is very easy to find, just drive to the end of the world and just before you fall off it is on the righthandside of the road. We were looking for a place to sleep on our way to our final destination. Is fine for a night. If we would have know it was that far up the hill we might have reconsidered but as there was no way to turn the car we went all the way. Rooms are small but spotless. Host is above and beyond friendly, a host in the true sense of the word. All personnel is very friendly, not only the host. Lots of walking trails so if you like hiking you might enjoy it more. But that is our problem. Place this locanda in a less remote area and you have a winner, now it is on the second place.

Theresa and her lovely staff make sure that you have all you need and from the moment you arrive you feel like you want to stay forever! Our cottage had all we needed for our two night stay. Its the little touches which really made a difference, fresh vegetables from the garden, just picked figs and the food basics we needed in case we wanted to pull together a meal quickly on arrival. As parents of a 3 year old it made a real difference to us. We had a massage there each which was just lovely; had a delicious private dinner cooked by their wonderful chef and took part in the herb garden tour and dinner. This is a beautiful place to stop, breathe, and actually feel like you can relax.

Intimate Tuscan Wedding
Reviewed By Cruiser64352101608We could not have been happier with our stay at Villa Cafaggio! My partner and I stayed with our immediate families (14 adults) and there was plenty of room! The separate apartments allowed each couple to have the space they need while still having wonderfully large gathering areas outside and in. The apartments were clean and stocked with basic cookware. We had an intimate wedding ceremony overlooking the gorgeous Tuscan hills and could not have picked a more perfect place! Matteo, Oana, and the other staff persons at the villa went above and beyond to meet every need of our party and set up beautiful lights and decorations. We also arranged a catered wedding dinner through Matteo and it was delicious with numerous courses and flowing with wine. We were so glad to book breakfast for our party, which was delightful meats and cheeses and pastries and the coffee needed to start the day. There was a well stocked grocery store within 15 minutes and numerous restaurants to choose from nearby. It felt perfectly secluded, but very accessible. We all can’t wait for the opportunity to return to their lovely oasis!

Mean spirited
Reviewed By caroldixonThis house is fine, ticks a lot of boxes for some people, decor average, size good, pool and garden areas very nice - the problem is the meaness of the owners or managers - the people who greeted us informed us we had to make up all beds, as we are elderly and first to arrive before family thet were suggesting we made up 9 beds, we said it was a lot and were told noone else complains!!!! We asked would there be mosquito plug on deterents and were told noone else had asked, and yet we found 5 or 6 in a drawer after buying some!!! There was 2 toilet rolls for 5 bathrooms and no left over anything i.e salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, washing up liquid, literally anything, we asked agent on phone next - does no one leave anything because we will - and were told they had already suggested this to owner- for an expensive place this was just too mean spirited
